Personal Attributes: During the course you were asked to plot your temperament and view yourself through the lens of multiple
intelligences. In addition, you considered the events or experiences in your life that caused you to choose early childhood education
as a career. In one to two paragraphs, discuss how your temperament, intelligences and personality could impact your work as an
early childhood educator. Include an additional paragraph that describes how knowing about yourself (temperament,
intelligences and personality) might influence your actions in the workplace (Feeney, 2012, p. 122).

Playing up my linguistic and interpersonal strength is important while in the field of early childhood education. It provides me with
an opportunity to relate to families and coworkers and to build a relationship with them where we can be a team with the common
goal of teaching children. I have a high level of empathy for others as well as patience which is crucial in the field as both are vital
to be a good teacher. I value consistency and a sense of fairness, which is important not only in the classroom with my work with
children but with the teachers I work along side as well as any one I may supervise. I am able to stay calm in tense situations, not
prone to outward emotions as a way to process an incident.

I feel it is crucial for a person to be self-aware of their strengths and faults as to not allow room for their faults to become too large. I
try to be as a self-aware as possible to not get too shy with others, to try and conduct myself professionally and to It also gives me
opportunity to play up my strengths, to volunteer to do activities where I am adept, such as technological tasks, I am proficient
enough to assist others with these and therefore I am a good candidate to teach new programs in assessments and record keeping
to other staff.
Doing Your Best for Children: Describe what you see as your primary area of strength as an early childhood educator. Include a
rationale for what you identify as your strength. Then, record one goal for continued growth and one resource that will help you in
meeting this goal. In terms of the aspects of professional engagement (Feeney, 2012, pp. 120-121), describe where you are now
and write one goal for the future. Include a rationale for the goal as well as at least one resource that may be helpful in achieving
that goal. Considering where you are now and where you want to be, write one career goal for 12 months and another for 5 years
from now. Include a rationale for each goal and one resource that will help you achieve that goal.
