DEARBRETHERN

The Need and anxiety has mounted high, and the burden so great,
that they nearly almost all crushed us into the dark grave, where
all consolation ends, beeause we must complain day and night,

6.
that the Lord forsakes
us, and in His righteous anger banishes
us from His Sanctuary, which wastr, and the heathen were call-ed
in for abuse, and we be destroyed here and there with nockery
and scorn, under pure pressure lie under servants of the heathen
and unbelievers, and must endure from such all troublesr so con-
trived. As there is nobody, who would be zelious for the law
and the Sanctuary.
Therefore, dear brethren, have I thought on you a little again
to raise, and to give again a consolation in your oppression; even
to give a pattern, and as yet again help Vour and raise up, artd

Then shout thou forsaken one, that those who oppressed thee'
those will be d,estroyed with Fire, those however who did you
good, wj.ll submj.t themselves to you at the time.
Guard yourself, however, that you d.o not engage with such, for
they nust bear the load of the Lord, Make yourself however liable
for servants and maids3 separate them among Vour in order that
their seed cease and die out. Yes they will be your wood and
water carriers accord.ing to the words of the Lord.
Therefore have patience and suffer all oppressions. Avoid
however also and shun all vice. Hol-d to the one God of Abraham,

from your enemies, that, where you hold to hlm that finally your

Who eternall-y remainest and whose Lordship is without end, thou
will even now not quite forget us. For we have become a derision
to our enemies in all 4 ends of the world. Dost thou not hear
our cry? Wilt thou not eternally forsake us? Lord bring us again
to thee and to our brethren, in our home, in order that our days
be renewed with the age. Ahl Thou art too angry with us! Re-
member us yet, and give us compassion. We must bear d.isgrace
which our fathers did wrong and deserved, and made themselves
guilty, wittingly and unwittingly, from one tribe to another, thy

Ah! Think yet on us agai-n, and. r,rnite us with our brethren,
who through thy hand are led out and rescued from Assyria. Now

Dear brethrenr orr€ might we1] wonder, how our dear Ancients
hit on the thought to prepare a MEDICINE, which has al-one happened
through the inspiration of the great JEHOVAH,that the Metal_s
could be ripened and transmuted higher, and how therewith they
went to work, that they found the PRIMUMMATERIAM.
Dear brethrenr orl€ says: TITUI,US INVENTIoNIS may be often PoTIoR

As they saw that SOL and LUNAwere generated by so long boiling

dear Ancients fell on the thought, that through Art and the help

Alone the dear Ancients have learned through diligent specul-

and out of WIIATthe LIFE of all creatures took its origin, and
how the Generation and commencementof the Metals may have their
Origin. T h i s th e d e a r Anci.ents have ver y closely obser ved, ex an-

They have however experienced harm with such because it has
become too metallict so have they sought an other MATERIAM,in
which the SPIRIT MURCURY is not yet made metallicr and found such

Ophiris SOL is something quite different. Therefore have also
many of our fathers, who were in need and care, found. such noble
treasures that they would help themselves €rlew. For when they
were with God, so was that also with them, as his chosen people.
That he has however denied us his blessing, which is caused by
us and our fathers sins, whlch he avenges unto the 1000th. gen-

by repentance. That we fo1low his voice, and d,epart from the un-
righteous ways. Did we walk in his preceptsr then would we also
receive prosperty and be glad in God.

Dear brethren, Ah! that you might understand me, what I at pre-
s e n t d r a w b e fo re yo u ! F or I speak even with Vour as with chi l dr en,
not in dark words. Get learning and then set out to do the work,
that your poor brethren might be releaved from anxiety. Think
yet how their minds are troubled under their oppression, that they
c a n n o t o n ce ra i se th e i r heads on high for distr ess; ther efor e m y
heart breaks, to show you a w&y, to help you and them. Can you
n o t w o rk, th e n p ra y to the Lor d, that he will- give you wisdom :
D a n i e l C h . 5 , V . 2 l & 2 2 . It is for sooth easy and insignificant,
i f y o u o n l y l o o se n yo u rself fr om all expensive things in the w or l d.
Therefore dear Brethren, have I here again drawn you a figure,
where you may have two ways before your eyes.
F i r s t yo u se e , h o w th e OLd AIBAONehops off with his swor d the
intractable Winged feet of the PIIYTHONI,and that the PIIYTONhas
i n h i s h a n d s a sta ff, th e m eaning of this is, that when such has
h a p p e n e d , h e th e n h a s a two- fold Natur e, which the two ser pents
p o i n t o u t.
This 01d P:cocreator is drawn out once from the PROMORDIALIS
CHAOS,that is signified from the FIRE appearing Dragon. But
however the 01d One floats in the Ai-r, denotes the SPIRITUS UNMR-
SAIEM or PHYTON,the beginning of all things, as I, dear brethren,
have taught you in the beginning. The 01d One however has a Scythe
o r r e a p i n g h o o k, a n d w i l l cut off the feet of the PHYTON,whi c h
is an indication that such also can be prepared from another MATERIA,
than out of the ALBAON, which is a black grey and heavy I\tIATERIA,
and one can get in abundance. And that the 01d One floats in the
Air has the meanirg, that from this 01d Oner a's I taught you before
you shall prepare the COl,UntsADfAt{AE, and sueh blend with the
PHYTHONE,and once more cause it to rise, and then you get a two-
fold PHYTON,or the right GIUTEN, the fiery Dragon in the wet way.

50.
But there is prepared from the GREENLION a crawli-ng Dragon,
and you have it before your eyes, and can compare with the 01d
One the wet way, and the Dragons the dry way.
In the work you go orlr beyond, in the dry way in the preparatory
work, there is another Modus than in the Slet. Dear brethren, that
I m a y s h o w V o u r h o w e ve r, that the Ancients possessed mor e sec r ets ,
f o r t h e y a re n o t a l l u n i ted in their ideas.
Those who had not the understanding, that they could fabricate
the LAPIS AIBAOHESTor the PHYTONof the Ancients, Vet have they
lcrown the MATERIAM,and have been in the position to go to work
on such.
They have seen, that the AIATRONcould be extracted from the
EXCREMENTS of animals, so did they come on the thought that in
M a n , t h e mo st e mi n e n t p roduction; in and out of which such ex c r e-
m e n t w as fre q u e n tl y to b e got. They have ther efor e collected fr om
h e a l t h y ma l e s th e i r U ri n e, and 1et such stand in casks to putr efy .
Then have they prepared through many distillations a vol-atile
SPIRIT PHYTONIS,as well in a dry form as also a Liquor in an
horrible fiery form and Property therefrom.
This they have well preserved, and well kept it in an ALINGEI,,
then they have here conveyed and have prepared from the Noble
Wine their Heaven and SPIRITUS PHYTONIS.
These two fiery Dragons they have poured together, artd again
d r i v e n o ve r, ti l l th e mo st of which ascended into a white GL U T EN ;
which they have put into an AIINGEI, and raised, then they have
taken of the KAIII and of the SALT EARTHequal parts, and out of
both have driven with strong FIRE, out of a crooked vessel a strong
WATER,or have from these two stuffs taken onl-y one such mixed
with an EARTH, and with strong FIRE prepared one WATERtherefrom.
This they have driven over several times, that no moisture was
there. Then have they put the above volatile salty T,iquor 1 part

from the VITRIOL and NITRET and also by degrees poured l part thereto,
then have these two fiery Dragons bit each other powerfully, and
fought, tiIl they at last remained lying dead. Then they have
put a vessel with a spoon to the beak, and have driven a PIfYTONIS
spirit thereover. When the half aLso had flown over, they then
have taken off the Vessel, the remai.nder they have thrown away,
t h e S P I R IT w h i ch fl e w u p , they r eetified once, and have gotten
a mysterious Liquor, with which they have gone to work. Others
have taken the above fiery salty l,iquor, of whieh I part, and
added of WATERGAZAthe half, and then driven it over, and have
a l s o s u cce ssfu l l y p ro ce e d ed, and have then also got the SPIRIT

hands over the matter, and place this in a mild heat, continued
til1 the Liquor is coloured grass green, the tinged Liquor is poured
off, and fresh liquor is poured onr so have they got a g?.ass green
Liquor and again a green Solution; these tinged Liquors they have

remainder have they put in a cool place, so have the stones cry-

the matter, and replaced the ball, and driven over the liquor

Then they have taken off the bal-I with the Liquor, and separated

And weighed the same, and added to it 2 parts of the above liquor,
a n d t h e n p u t th e ve sse l i n a mitd heat, and distilled over the
liquor, artd this they have COHOBATED so often, until it remains
lying with the EARTHand is fixed. Then they have poured thereon
fresh liquor, and so continued, till all the EARTHwith the tiquor
has flown up, and then fixed in the FIRE and remain lying.
Then have they taken the half of this and melted with equal
weight of Ophiris SOL, so have they gotten a clear Tincture.
Then are such camied off, as I taught you before, already dear
brethren, beeause all the after work i-s one and the same.
But as you see the preleminary works, as you see, are different.
Dear brethren, there have been some of the Ancients who worked
thus: they have taken this green Lion, and shut it up in a ALINGEL,
i . e . a l o n g n e cke d ve sse l , and put it in hor se- dungr or other wi s e
in a mild vaporous heat, that it should be resolved.. Then have
they gone to work with it, as dear brethren, I taught you in the
p r e c e e d in g , ta ke n fro m th e Ancients descr iption of the l{ or k.

T h e y h a v e i n th e w o rk' p roceeded with this wonder ful- SALT, as the

F o r i n th e w e t w a y i t i s a wor k, which concer ns the after - wo r k ,
further, dear brethren, Vou should also lmow that with the prepared
liquor they attacked the PIIYTONI; because they had not all the
lonowledge of this our marvellous MATERIE, and aLso they have taken
the PIIYTON,and put it into a high vessel, and poured thereon of
t h e f l y i ng se rp e n t, a n d put a head onto the vessel, placed the
v e s s e l i n sa n d , a n d so h as the flying ( dr agon) eaten the cr ee pi ng

beeause it has remained from them a useless EARTH, this flylng

t h e e y e . Wi th th i s T ,i q u or have they also been able to do won der s ,
and have given it divers names.
With such Liquor have they also gone to work: They have taken
Ophiris S0l,rand beat it into thin leaves, and put it into an AI,INGEL

T h e n ha ve th e y p l a ce d this in a mild heat, so has this fier y

There has the King lain in his Bl-ood, and hls limbs sunk to the

Then they put a head thereon, and LENTE distilled over the flying

Dear brethren, our father Jacob served f years for Rachel, and
it was very toilsome for him; and his reward was changed for a1l
t h a t , c o n si d e ri n g th a t i nstead of Rachel he got leah.
This is even truly a prototlpe of your servitude.
The l,ord, the Holy One however will soon conduct us home, when
t h e o t h e r se ve n ye a rs o f affliction ar e past.
W e mu st su ffe r w i th L e ah the weeks of affliction yet a sho r t
t i m e , th e n w i l l R a ch e l b e br ought to us.
Consider that Ephraim is the first born of RacheL and not Judah.
T h e r e f ore a re w e fo rsa ke n, and the Lor d calIs Jer em iah, V. 30220.
0 Ephraim, my only son how my heart breaks for thee that I must
again have compassion on thee, and deliver thee and Lead thee out
from Hagar and her son.
Brethren, the time is soon at an end, that Hagar will drop her
son for sadness. For the holy ADONAIwill thrust her out from
our inheritance, and she will languish from heat, and not be able
t o s e e , th a t h e r so n d i .es fr om sadness, till the Angel will c om e
o f t h e C h o se n P e o p l e , to comfor t her a little; yes the Lor d w i l l
n o t d e stro y a II th e h e a then, but pr eser ve a por tion for the s er v i c e
of his people.
D e a r b re th re n , to g i ve you yet a consolation tilf then, and to
cheer Vou, have I again here drawn a figure in order to impress on
y o u r i g h t d e e p l y th e se crets. You see an 01d hol- low Oak- tr ee s tand-
i n g i n a g a rd e n a ro u n d which is twisted a r ose bush with r ed r os es ,
which has gilt leaves. Underneath from the stem of the tree runs
a LUNARwhite WATER.
There are some who not far from this have hoed and digged, but
found. nothing; except those who by the way, who contemplated the
weight. Dear brethren the old tree is our black and heavy rocky
lumps of our ALBAON.
Yo u mu st stri ke th i s rock, tilI it gives W ATIA,,as you hav e

5L.
already previously with all circumstances been instructed and
taught. For
the LUNARwhite Y|ATER,which flows underneath from
the tree, is our PHYTONC0LUMBADIANAE, which is heavy. That how-
e v e r t h e tre e
b e a rs re d r oses with gilt leaves, such signified
t h e BL 00 D o f
th e 0 1 d On e, which must be dr awn out of such vis i bl y ,
a s t h e B L 0 0 D o f th e l i o n r or our secr et.
That it however flows underneath out of the tree signifies a
LUNARwhite IYATER,which should be prepared from the root of such
a thingr so that in all parts of its nature it shal1 be KIN to the
S01, and LLINA, and that it may be also easily made firm and stable.
If you should l-ose al-l writings, then you should only depict
t h o s e F i g u re sr o p d ra w such for your ehildr en, so will they, as
o t h e r s w h o a re o f a g o o d under standing, easily under stand suc h,
for one dares only to speak with few words, what concerns the
IVIISTERIA,come to the help of it.
Dear brethren, in order that I however suppress nothing which
could serve for your advantage, so mark what wonders the Ancients
have accomplished, when they have taken the PHYTONISor our GLUTEN
AQUIIAE, that you might yet better understand, our COLUMBAM DIANAE,
and with such have aLso gone to work.
T h e y h a ve ta ke n th i s a s it ascended fr om the OId One; and hav e

Then have they prepared a acrid WATER , as you well Imow, and. is
well lorown already to you from the foregoing; in such have they
dissolved IUNA, and taken such a SOLUTION,beat again with NITRE
WATER,and well sweetened. 0f such have they rubbed I portion
among 2 portions of the COIUMBADIAi\IAE, and then put on the fire,
b u t b e f o re th e y w e re p l a ced with each other in a tall vessel,
therein in a most tolerable FIRE the LUNA also ascended; this they
have done among the remainder, and again the Bird (Figure ?+)
caused to fly, and that to the third time; so has it appeared with
a g r e a t b ri l l i a n ce , a n d has also toler ably lost its poison.

The COLUMBA DIANAE however from the head put thereto, and. thus
with each other metamorphosed into a heavy glittering WATER. Had
they however poured this wArER several times on the remaining
IUNAR EARTH, and thereof caused it to fly, so would they have
it coagulated into a White Stone. For this serpent or three-head.ed
bird loses at last it wings, and will remain firm, such has happened

writings. This is the MEVIAIVIORP}IOSED
VENUS cloathed with the LUNA.
AIso has it happened to me someti-mes that I poured the COIUMBA
DIAI'IAEto a Ophiris S0L, brought before to a DUST, and driven it
with such aloft, in order that this green BIRD might rob the KING
of BODYand BI,OOD,and raise it also.
A s I d i ve rte d myse l f a lso, and that such should f1' y 7 times, and
so it remained behind, and even incorporated with the eueen, for

I was constrained in order to see what would here end. But they

b o t h b e ca me i n a sh o rt space of time hom ogeneous.
This brown red Stone tinged and metarnorphosed, yet for all- that
like the above with a few grains some shekel-s of metals into SOL.
Therefore when you will in a short and little time help yourself
and your brethren, then let this be said to you, that all Metals
ex PHYTHONE have their source and beginning. A11 Metals consist
of D(-PIfYTHONE,for the IVIERCURY is their beginning. This sleeping
Lion you can with the fixed DIAI{AE easily again waken, (Figure 27)

if you rub only of the COTUMBA DIAI{AE 1 portion among 4 portions

of the fixed, and put such only into a commonvessel, then will the
fixed one overcome the flying, and eat it in a very short time,
so that you reeeive here a higher and more penetrating stone and
can likewise augment as long as you wish. (Figure 281.

Yo u s ee a fl o w e r w i th 7 leaves, which flower is r ed and SOL,
the leaves however not sol,, which are blown by the North wind.
The leaves signify our GREEN!ION, which is far better than ophiris

whieh no north wind ean move. And that it stands on the mountain,
has a two-fo1d meaning. Firstly, it is sought by many men, but
found by few. For this Mountain is our Altarr our MATERIE, which

since yet their poison is pure TINCTURE.
Secondly, that such Flower is born in the Air signifies that it
mounts on the mountains, i.e. into the ALEMBIC.
N.B. That is the COLUIIBADIAJ{AEand is at first all there is
found and seen. That however many griffins watch the nountain,
and fiery dragons, has a two-fold meaning.
The fiery d.ragons are the PHYTONor unveiled DIAIIIAE. (Figure 30).

That nobody lorows her, as well in the wet as the dry way. So
can also with the help of the UNMRSAL CHAOSof the turcients r like
from the SAIT AERUMof the Magnetic fatness of the AIR this fiery

this they have learned from Moses.
The Griffins are, as previously mentioned, nothing other than
SPIRITUS PIIIT0NIS, which can be prepared as well from the o1d

such they prepared a volatile SPIRIT, with which they burnt off the

Now however, dear brethren, sha1l I show yet some secrets worthy

of wonder from our inexhaustible spring of the Ancients, and yet

more Mysteria. When Vour as you previously rrnderstood, your PHYTON'

other 1et f1y onee, so has it become fat and glutinous.
This you have preserved, and when you have prepared i-t you will
'
likewise see its form. This mercurial Flower will appear, l-i-ke
the most beautiful pearls. Yfill- you prepare large pearls then
'
take only small ones, and make such to an inconceiveable DUST, and
take of the COLUMBA DIAI{AE, so much thereof, that it becomes like
a pap, somewhat thick, and has SOt or LITNAforms r how great you
would have these, made into such pearls, and stick through each
a s t r o n g b ri stl e , w h i ch is clean. The br istles stick to a c r os s

arrd.place it in a mild heat, (Figure 32) so they will become in
a short time as hardr &s they have been, and of great brilliancy,
Take these out and steep them into the l-,iquor prepared from the
COLUMBA DIANAE, and let theur be wiped clean, then put them again
into a glass, and in a mild heat, the others in a short tine wilL
surpass. You can also cause forms to be made with divers figures,
a s b i r d s, l a mb ki n s, p e a rs , apples and the like, besides that, Vou
c a n p r e p a re p e a rl s o f p riceless value.

f o r t u n e h a ve I d i scl o se d this.
One can carry such a pearl himsel-f, and conceal and yet be of
great value. The Ancients have yet further looked about in Nature.
I f t h e y h a d p re ci o u s sto n es, which had not got their matur e and r i ght
colour so have they quickly larown, such to bring to sight. If they
have had a Diamond, which was large and not pure, they have cleansed
it from all dirt, and put it into a vessel, and poured thereupon
the COI,UMBA DIAI{AE, and 1et them stand with each other in a mild

Dear brethren, that it may not fail you in the instruction, so

I w i l L h e re i n co n cl u si o n , will not hold back fr om you the r em ai n-
i n g s e c r e ts o f th e A n ci e n ts, but will r eveal these, wher ewith y ou
m a y b e a b l e to co me to th e help of the necessitous. I have a gai n
drawn a Figure, which comprehends much in itself. Give heed to
it we1I.
You see, that a King stands in the Figure with a naked sword;
h i s s o l di e rs a re ki l l i n g innocient childr en, and they colleet the
b l o o d i n a w e l l sta n d i n g ther eby, which this is alr eady filled
w i t h b I o o d , i n o rd e r to colour it yet some mor e. Into which des -
cends SOL & IUNA to bathe themselves therein. This Figure has a
two-fold meaningr a's well in the wet and dry way.
That the King stands, and has a sword in his hand, means, that
o n e s h a l 1 ki 1 I th e K i n g with it, which means nothing else but one
s h a l l t ake Op h i ri s S OL , a nd with such a double edged swor d, w i th
the double Central FIRE, burn up and disintegrate, where I have
s h o w n y ou a l so , tw o w a ys, such to get it over .
The first is prepared out of the UNMRSAI CHAOS,the other from
the AI'IIIIAL, Vegetable and MINERAI. Particularly must you conform
t o m y t e a ch i n g , w h e re I showed, how the Ancients ther ewith went to
w o r k . T h e y h a ve ta ke n th is fier y flying SPIRIT, and pour ed thi s
on the PHYTON,and so has it taken away from it the metal-Iick nature,
and has become a GLUTINOUS white water. With this have they further
proceeded, and this IIQUOR they again poured on fresh P}IYTON,so
has it also became a thick viscous water. Then have they taken
t h e Ki n g, a n d d i sso l ve d i t ther ein, then has it become r ed lik e
t o B L O OD . T h i s B L 0 0 D h a ve they now also called the RED LION, thi s
have they fixed, and as I already taught Vou, augmented their work
w i t h t h i s sl o p p y P H Y T ON ,and also found a blessed ending.

?8.
O t h e r s h a ve p re p a re d these two FIREIS in their voLatile form ,
a n d t a k e n a n d d i sso l ve d the King with this, and distilled the r efr om
t h e f l y in g B rR D p a rtl y, to a r ed lr QuoR. This have they pr es er v ed,
a n d p u t to o n e si d e , th e n have they also dissolved of the DIAI,[A,

spouse should not have carried and taken something away.
0n this account have they poured this flying BrRD with solar
and lunar feathers on the PHYTONTso has it again dissolved itself
again in such. Then have they poured off the clear Solution, and
put again on a fresh PHYTON, so have they got a fat and heavy
LIQU0R' then have they the King and Queen aIIied with each other,
artd poured together. 0f such have they put the half into an AIINGEL,
a n d a s h e a vy a s th e se tw o weighed, pour ed ther eon of their fatty
heavy IIQUOR. Then in such is the beginning and efficacious and

till such had beeome firm. Then have they taken it out, and rubbed

o t h e r l e t i t b e co me fi xt. This have they r epeated, till the BIOOD
of the King all had been consumed.
Then have they taken out their Tineture, and divided it into
t w o p o r ti o n s, th e o n e th ey have caused to flow with equal par ts
of Ophiris sOl-,, and so has it become a pure TINCTURE. Then have
they again divided this Tincture into two portions, the one portion
h a v e t h e y ke p t th e mse l ve s for sustenance of their life, the o ther
have they however blended with the half of the unmelted Tincture,
and rubbed amongst each other, this again put into an AIINGEL,
moistened with t]r.e GLUTENAQUTLLAE, that it had not only become
r a t h e r th i cki sh , cl o se d the AI,TNGEL we1I, and this again let i t go
through the colours for FIXATION and this have they practised in
INFINITUM.

?9.
N.B. T h a t sh o u l d yo u l o n owhowever , that this Tinctur e cannot be

bathe themselves, or in which they grow young again.
This Figure also signifies the inexhaustable augmentation of our
great work, and is nothing other than our three beginning parts
whereof our single MATERIAtake their origin, wi.th and through

When this MATERIAis not yet too old in the mountain pits is met

They eohobated the sPrRrT with the orl, from the rernaining red

Flom the remaining EARTHthey extracted with the laid up Humid-

also brought into their LIQUOR.
These three now they put in a mild heat, that they should r.rnite
w i t h e ach o th e r. T h e n they distilled such with each other , wi th
a strong FIRE & COHOBANDO from a strong vessel, then they got a
LIQUORof marvellous effect.
0f this they took one portion and of the LIQUORin which the
PHYTON h a d j o i n e d , a l so one por ti- on, these two they pour ed together ,
and distilled thern afterwards with a strong FIRE C0HOBAI{DO.
They took this LIQUORand divided it into 4 portions, the one
portion they brought into an AIINGEL, and shut it we1l, and let
them together go through the colours. Others however, who were
more lorowing, took the EARTH, which from the NITRE remained behind,
and heated it throughly, and it is well true, and brought it into
s u c h a ve sse l , w h i ch w a s tall, because such was of a vir ginal
essence, and poured on the I,IQUOR, when the EARTHweighed one

put the vessel only in a oven in sand and began to distill, and

till it all remained firm behind. Then they poured on fresh LIQU0R

coagulated, but flew into the vessel together, fixed and constant
in the FIRE.
0f this IIQUOR now carried overl they poured. 1 portion to 16

their purpose, and have yet understood and Imown the true MINERAI

So have they taken such, and beat small, and with this MENSTRUO

With such a GREENLION have they gone to work, according to the
