DSAWM-204PS 4-Slot-Mounting Kit with Lightning Protection

1. GENERAL

1.1 Document Purpose

This document provides installation information for the

Westell DSAWM-204PS 4-Slot Mounting Kit with Lightning
Protection, which is shown in Figure 1. For specific details on
the 4-slot mounting assembly included with this kit, see the
4-slot mounting assembly practice included with that assembly.

- NOTE -
Hereafter, the DSAWM-204PS 4-Slot-Mounting Protection Kit
may be referred to as the Protect 4" kit or mounting.

1.2 Document Status

Whenever this document is updated, the reason will be stated

in this paragraph. Revision B updates Paragraph 1.3, Figure 2,
and Table 2.

1.3 Product Purpose and Features

The Protect 4 kit is designed to provide a lightning-protected

mounting for up to four 200 MECHANICS modules (or two
400-type modules). The pre-assembled kit contains the follow-
ing items (refer to Figure 2):

CAUTION - STATIC-SENSITIVE
Plug-in modules mounted in this kit may contain static-sensitive
components! Use/observe proper electrostatic discharge precautions
and procedures to maintain personal and equipment safety. Do not
store near magnetic, electromagnetic or electrostatic fields.
