 Types of compost and how it affect the
plants
This experiment is to comprove if the types of fertilizer can affect the growing
of the plants and the pH of the soil, this is to prove what of the fertilizers is
better to use in our crops.
 Hypothesis
• If added Gallinaza fertilizer, then the plant will grow faster in its
germination state than triple 15 fertilize because the Gallinaza have more
quantity of phosphorus that stimulate the root development that help them
to get more water and nutrients
 materials
• Is need:
• 15g Gallinaza
• 15g Homeless compost
• 15g Humus
• 4Lettuce
• 4Pots
• Water
• Ground
• PHmeter or universal indicator paper
• 10ml of distilled water
• Syringe
• Ruler

To make the compost
• 1. separate the husks of the food
form the trashcan
• 2. mix the husks with soil and
water
• 3. put it in a container
• 4. let the husks rest until it break
up in the soil and the compost is
ready

To make the experiment
• Mix the 3 types of fertilizer with ground in 3 containers
• Place the ground whit the different fertilizers on 3 pots
• Plant 4 lettuce on 4 pots, 3 with fertilizer and 1 without fertilizer
• Label the pots with the name of the types of fertilizers
• Water the plants when they need
• See the height and the pH of the plants weekly
• Record the results on a table
• Retry the steps 1-7 to compare your results
