account on social media right? like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter. and I think all of you, is familiar with
this social media right? so here I will talk to you about what social media is, the benefits of social media,
its weaknesses, and the most important things, tips on using social media to prevent the disadvantages.

technologies that facilitate the creation and sharing of information, ideas, career interests and other
forms of expression via virtual communities and networks. Such as facebook, istagram, twitter, and
much more. The following list of the leading social networks shows the number of active users as of July
2018. As you can see, Facebook has the most active users in July 2018, which reaches 2270 active users.

place to expand our network of friends. A Place for communicate, Social Media can be used as a place to
communicate wherever and whenever you are. A place for sharing, Social media can be used as a place
to share, whether it's sharing ventures, outpouring of hearts, sharing stories, and sharing knowledge.

But, there are also bad effects caused by social media such as Hoaxes, This is used by the handful of
groups and individuals to spread false news with specific aims and objectives. Spy, The most annoying
thing on social media is “Spying”. Usually done by friends, family, or office people, with specific
purposes. This makes our privacy a little bit disturbed. Crimes, Not everyone is good on social media.
There have been many cases of people who are not responsible for using social media to commit crimes,
such as fraud. to avoid the disadvantages of social media, here are tips that you should do

The first one is, FRIENDSHIP FILTER. Almost all social media has a feature to filter anyone who can be
friends and follow us. For example on Instagram, you can activate private account mode. This will limit
the information that the public can access about yourself.

the content you uploaded, make sure there are no negative elements.

almost half of them, are hoaxes. you need selective to sort out the information from social media. dont
easily trust the informations.

conversations or liking a post. Respect other people's privacy, it's better we just "know" than to make
others feel uncomfortable.
