1. SUMMARY

The Overall actual progress of the base scope project is 95.94% against the Recovery
Plan of 100%, a slippage to date of 4.06%. Planned progress for the week was 0.00%
and actual achieved is 0.03%, a slippage of 0.02% against the week’s forecast of 0.05%.
Due to the lack of EMIL provided facilities at site the maximum overall progress that can
be achieved is 96.25%, which is being targeted for completion by 30 September 2018.
The Overall actual progress of the DS7 ESU project is 13.54% against the base plan of
30.05%, a slippage to date of 16.50%. Planned progress for the week was 4.02% and
actual achieved is 2.30%, a slippage of 0.58% against the week’s forecast of 2.88%.
In HSE, no incidents were recorded this week. The project maintained its safety record of
zero LTI’s to date. Total man-hours worked this week for site and the PMO office was
5,184 Hrs, and cumulative hours to date are 961,530 Hrs.
Engineering of the base scope is complete, with only one FD4 document now remaining
for finalization. For the DS7 ESU scope, actual progress is 45.79% against a plan of
84.56%, a slippage of 38.76%. Planned progress for the week was 3.24% and actual
achieved is 0.90%, an improvement of 0.54% against the week’s forecast of 0.36%. The
vendor’s documents submission and reviews and TQ clarifications are in progress.
Slippage is predominantly due to the delay caused in the vendor documents submission
and following reviews.
Procurement is essentially complete for the base scope. For the DS7 ESU scope, actual
progress is 26.76% against a plan of 53.61%, a slippage of 26.85%. Planned progress
for the week was 5.39% and actual achieved is 4.05%, a slippage of 0.97% against the
week’s forecast of 5.02%. The POs issued for Rotameter. Technical clarifications are still
progressing with Instrument Cables and Bulks. The slippage is due to the delay caused
in issuing POs and following manufacturing progress.
In Construction, actual progress for the base scope is 95.48% against a recovery plan of
100%, a slippage of 4.52%. Planned progress for the week was 0.00% and actual
achieved is 0.04%, a slippage of 0.04% against the forecast of 0.08%. Due to the lack of
EMIL provided facilities at site the maximum overall progress that can be achieved is
95.97%. At DS7, the final grading road, paving works, and MC punch list close out works
are progressing. For the DS7 ESU scope, actual progress is 7.02% against a plan of
19.10%, a slippage of 12.08%. Planned progress for the week was 4.02% and actual
achieved is 2.30%, a slippage of 0.57% against the forecast of 2.48%. One electrical
duct bank construction work was completed and one is in progress. The excavation and
concrete blinding works for piping sleeper installation are in progress. The pre-cast
foundations laying and pre-casting activities are progressing well. The slippage is due to
the delay caused in commencing the piping pre-fabrication works.
In Commissioning, actual progress is 21.55% against the recovery plan of 100.00%, a
slippage of 78.45%. Planned progress for the week was 0.0% and actual achieved is
0.31%. The MC walks down activities at DS7 are progressing. The slippage is
predominantly due to the delays in construction progress and the interface issues related
to the lack of EMIL provided tie-in facilities.

2.3 Issues impacting Progress & Plans

AWQ0109-1&2 PWT
 Only one FD4 document finalization is remaining for the base engineering scope.
CPECC is expecting to close this document by next week.

 The IGF package area carry over jobs punch list clearing and close out activities are
progressing but some materials (pressure gauges, gaskets, sight glass), need to be
replaced. Gaskets have arrived at Umm Qasr port. CPECC is arranging the balance of
materials with vendor and are expecting all related works will be finished within one week
after receiving the materials at site.

 The electrical and instrument cable installation from the LERs and Commissioning
activities are held up due to the lack of EMIL provided facilities (pipe rack).

AWQ0317 DS7 ESU

 All free issue piping bulks materials from Company’s warehouse have been received
except one gasket. CPECC has now started identifying and stacking the piping bulk
materials with isometrics in order to start the fabrication next week.
 Procurement slippage is due to the change in CPECC’s internal procurement
requirements (changed to get quotation from 3 vendors instead of 1 vendor according to
the procurement value). The PO issuance is delayed for Piping Bulks and Instrument
Bulks materials.

 Train A De-salter system integrity issue has held up the civil works nearby until the 15h
September. All the neighboring civil works have been stopped according to the WQ1
operations instruction.

 Work has stopped near the fence clashing area with BGC, and re-routing of the pipeline
will be required inside the brown field area; discussion on going for the way forward.

2.4 Status of Critical Path Activities

AWQ0109-1&2 PWT
 Construction – DS7 punch list close out activities are in progress.
 Construction – DS 7 E&I works – The electrical and instrument cable installation from the
LERs are held up in three degassing stations due to the lack of EMIL provided facilities
(pipe rack).
AWQ0317 DS7 ESU
 Receipt of Control Valves and Shutdown Valves (FIM) at site - PO issued by EMIL.

2.5 Status of Near Critical Path Activities (1-10 days float)
