No. 1 – There’s something in the air tonight

 Scrap B. 1.
 Vamp bars 2-3, wait for cue.
 After fermata at B. 22 there will be a count of four played to lead into B. 23.
 Slight rit. At B. 38 but little, if any fermata.
 Take vocal lead from B. 73 into 74.
 Again, take the vocal lead at B. 105.

No. 1a. Nursery March / Face at the Window

 As written
 Omit bars 16-17 (no cuckoos)
 Play through to the end and then repeat from B.18 to the end later on in the script (I’ll give
the cue)

No. 2. Just Beyond the Stars

 As written.

No. 2a. Tink’s arrival

 This one is FAST.

 Will be conducted in 4, 3, and 2.

No. 2b. Peter’s arrival

 As written.

No. 2c. Did you see where they put it?

 As written.
 There will be a 4 count after every fermata.

No. 3. Tink & Wendy

 You’ll be sick of Tink’s theme soon!

 As written
No. 3a. Sound asleep

 Only play to B. 8

No. 4. Never Land

 As written
 Just be wary of key changes
 At the end of this number we will do a play off from B.95 to the end while they get ready for
the next scene.

No. 5. The Lost Boys Gang

 Percussion to start
 There is dialog over the top at the beginning - watch the volume
 There may be some vamps required – Unsure yet.
 sFFF at B. 104!!

No. 6. Good Old Captain Hook

 Really quiet to begin, building up gradually.

 Full whack at B. 19.
 Begin Rall. at B. 89.
 B. 104 – After the second crotchet there is complete silence. I’ll be conducting in 2/2 so I will
conduct beat 1 again bringing everyone in again.
 The same applies in bar 106.
 Run as normal to end.

No. 6a. The Hook

 Cut

No. 6b. Crocodile and Tiger Lily

 Not too sure as yet how the clock is going to work. We may just start from B. 5 – I’ll let you
know. Might have percussion doing it.
 B 29 – Just be wary of the time signature change – Pulse needs to be kept the same.

No.. 6c. Tink’s instructions/Shooting Wendy

 B1 – I’ll re-beat the last beat leading in to Bar 2.

 B10-11 – This bit almost feels that it’s in 6/4, especially in the bass.
 B. 18 – I’ll give you 2 beats in.
 B. 26 – I’ll give you 2 beats in again.
 B. 33 – 2 beats in
 B. 38 – 2 beats in

No. 7. Build a House

 As writ.
 Just be wary of B.114 – We’re following the vocal lead. I’ll give you the upbeat.

No. 7a. The Lost Boys Gang (Reprise)

 As writ.
 Wait for my cue on the very last bar. I’ll give you the upbeat and then hit that final chord.

No. 8. The Cleverness of Me

 The song is scored in 6/4 but there are parts where it feels in 4 and parts where it feels in 6. I
will probably conduct in 2 for the best of both worlds. Will conduct in 4 for the very
beginning though.
 No other real nasties in this.

No. 8a. Walking backwards

 Lots of vamps in this one.

No. 9. Siren Song

 As writ.

No. 9a. Marooner’s Rock

 As writ
 Vamp last 2 bars until cut off. I believe a line in the script tells us to stop.

No. 9b. The fight at the Lagoon

 The beginning is the same as ‘The Cleverness of Me’.

 Chords dictated at the end.
No. 9c. Rescued by a kite

 Just be wary of the drastic tempo change at B. 17. I think I’ll just ‘double’ it for ease.

No. 10. When I kill Peter Pan

 Not too much (if any) fermata at B.27.

 Gradually build the tempo at B.44.
 Really start to pull it back at B.53.
 B.70 – Each fermata is going to be worth 4 counts, so…… Beat 1 (2, 3, 4), Beat 3, (2, 3, 4) and
then into B. 70 as normal.
 Slight slowing on final bar.

Act Two

No. 10a. Entr’acte

 The storyteller will begin speaking at B. 28.

No. 11. Rose-Tinted Eyepatch

 I believe there will be a big cut in this number. I think we’re going to jump from B.56 straight
to B. 100 (so as it sounds on the soundtrack).

No. 11a. Indians to Port and Starboard

 As writ

No. 12. Just Beyond the Stars (Reprise)

 Play Bar 1 twice (so Wendy has a cue to come in).

 Really pull the tempo back at the very end.

No. 12a. Sleeping Children

 Vamp on B.9.
No. 12b. Tink Mock

 Ummm, yeah. 1 Bar long. I think we’ll manage!

 Segue to No. 13.

No. 13. One Big Adventure

 B.29. Follow singer.

 Back to normal at B.32.
 Lots slower at B. 34. Pretty much half tempo.
 Just watch tempo change from B.51 to B.52.
 Another tempo change from B.97 to B.98.

No. 13a. Behind the Wardrobe

 As writ.

No. 13b. The Cleverness of me (Reprise)

 Just be aware of the pause at B.12.

 Chords will be dictated at B.22.

No. 13c. Land the Mackerel

 As writ.

No. 14. When I Kill Peter Pan – Good Old Captain Hook (Reprise)

 Really pull back the tempo at B.15.

 B.19 will be at half tempo (which I will conduct in 4) so we can jump straight into B.20 where
I’ll start conducting in 2.
 Not currently sure how many times we’ll play the vamp at the end.

No. 14a. Tink and the Poison

 In this number we are the representation of everything that tinkerbell is doing. So, the
pauses are where somebody is speaking. It will hopefully make more sense when we are
actually doing it.
 I plan to keep it as writ but may have to add a few extra pauses to allow for dialogue etc.

No. 14b. One Big Adventure (Reprise)

 Completely different feel to the music at B. 47.

No. 15. A Pirate with a Conscience

 Just watch the pesky 5/4 bars dotted throughout!

 B. 168 – Play the chord and then cut off completely. Hook sings a series of turns working his
way up (like on the sound track). I’ll signal when to start B.169.

No. 16. Never Land (Reprise)

 As writ.
 Gradually pick up the tempo & volume from B.16 onwards

No. 16a. The Deaths

 Dictated chords

No. 16b. The Doodle-Doo

 As writ.

No. 17. The Fight

 The pauses (e.g. B.32) are for dialogue.

No. 18c. Peter’s Exit

 As writ.
No. 19. There’s always tomorrow.

 Big rit. at B.23.

 I’m not sure if it’s written in the percussion music or not, so I’ll say it anyway. Please can I
have a big Timp. Roll at B.79/80.

No. 20. Bows

 As writ for now but may change depending on what we set.

No. 21. Exit Music

 As writ.
