Unique Feature of
Choice of method to “Select&Set” Annunciator Functions ‘Bharani’
‘Bharani’ offers Choice of TWO Methods to ‘Site-Select’ following THREE Important Annunciator “Operations”:
[1]. Select: Sequence of Operation. (Common for entire Annunciator)
[2]. Select: Trip / NonTrip (Window-wise) Segregation of Audible Alarms,
[3]. Select: Response (Window-wise) to NO or NC type of Initiating Field Contacts As detailed below
Method 1 : Using Pu s h B u tt o n S w it c h Com b i n ati o n [Applicable for Type “C” & “D” Annunciators]
• ‘Procedure-Sheet’ provided to Guide/Use ‘Combination’ of ‘In-Built’ Push Button Switches, to go to “Set Modes”
• ‘Step-by-Step’ guidance, by simple Audio/Visual Indentification, to “Select & Set” above THREE “Operations”.
1. Ensures that above “Site-Select & Set” are done by Authorised Personnel ONLY.
Advantages 2. Totally avoids mal-operation caused by ageing/malfunction & improper setting of DIP Switches.
3. Total “DIP-Switch-free” Annunciator offered.
Group of LEDs provided to indicate ‘Healthiness’ & Other Functional Details of Annunciator, as below :
1. System Healthy : Watchdog Blinking-LED, to indicate ‘Healthiness’ of Annunciator Unit.
2. Sequence of Operation : Indicates current working Sequence of Operation, as selected by User.
3. Audible Alarm status : Indicates which Audible Alarm is ‘ON’ : ‘Trip’ or ‘Non Trip’ or ‘Ringback’.
4. Mute : Indicates type of Audible Alarm : ‘Trip’ or ‘Non Trip’, ‘Silenced’ by pressing ‘Mute’ Push Button.
‘Status Indicator’ is used in Type “C” & “D” Annunciato rs to ‘guide’ Select&Set functions using Push Buttons.

Annunciators are fitted with “Individual Windows”, with Snap-Fit Window Frames [Front replaceable]
Snap-Fit Window Frames enables User to change/alter Legends of each Window, with ease.
Annunciators are available using SEVEN different ‘Individual Window’ Sizes, as below:
[1]. 70mm x 35mm [2]. 60mm x 35mm [3]. 50mm x 35mm [4]. 40mm x 30mm
NOTE Ref: ‘Sequence Tables’ [Pages: 11 & 12] for details of all above Sequences of Operation. [with ISA cross-ref]
Seq uence G ro up s
‘Bharani’ offers Annunciators in following Sequence Groups, based on Sequences of Operation.
Sequence Groups [for 04 to 24 Windows per Unit]
[a]. Sequence DIP Switch: ‘Select’ Only ONE Switch to 'ON' at a time & All others to 'OFF'.
DIP Switch [b]. If more than One Switch is Selected (or) when No Switch is Selected to 'ON' position, Annunciator shall
Selection automatically operate ONLY on: "Default” Sequence [as marked]
Before ‘Selecting’ ANY of above DIP Switches, ‘Switch-OFF’ Annunciator. [‘Switch-ON’ Annunciator after Selection]

Detailed Description of ‘Optional Features’, COMMON for ALL THREE “SERIES”
[a]. Half-Duplex [2 Wire] Interface, via. RS485 / USB Ports, with Dynamic Port Isolation.
[b]. Site-Selectable ‘Address’ & ‘Baud-Rate’ settings using DIP Switches provided.
[c]. Protocols supported: [a]. MODBUS-RTU, [b]. Any User-defined.
[d]. MODBUS-RTU: Interface with any ‘Real-Time’ SCADA/PLC/PC [with similar Software], in ‘Read [03 (Hexadecimal)]’ &
‘Write [10 (Hexadecimal)]’ modes, for Input/Output Protocol Commands & Data-Logging.
Refer: “Write-up” on MODBUS Communication Protocol details for: “03 & 10 Functions”.
Refer: “Write-up” on Optional Feature “Serial Communication”
This Optional Feature is used when it is required to have “N” No. of Windows to work as 'Regular’ Annunciator [with
FULL Circuitry] and Balance Windows as ‘FACIA’ [Indication ONLY, without Circuitry].
[a]. DIP Switches provided to “Window-wise” ‘Site-Select’ : 'Regular’ Annunciator ⊳ ‘FACIA’ [Indication ONLY].
[b]. Selected Windows of 'Regular’ Annunciator works in ‘Set’ Sequence & responds to all Push Button commands.
[c]. Selected Windows of ‘FACIA’ works as Indication ONLY. [Window ‘Steady-Glow’, as long as Field Contact is Abnormal]
This Optional Feature is used when it is required to MUTE (Silence) Trip & NonTrip Alarms, after a ‘Set’ Time Delay.
[a]. FOUR-way DIP Switch provided to ‘Site-Select’ Time Delay in ‘8+4+2+1’ Binary format, in either ‘Sec’ or ‘Min’.
[b]. Specify Total Range of Time Delay required in ‘Sec’ or ‘Min’. {Eg.: 0 to 75 Sec, or 0 to 15 Min, etc.}
Example : Based on Time Range specified, Each Switch of FOUR-way DIP is assigned a ‘basic’ Time duration.
If ‘8+2’ alone is Set to ‘ON’ position [others ‘OFF’], then Time Delay = 8+2 = 10 [or multiples] ‘Sec’ or ‘Min’, etc..
‘Additional Data’ : Specify, Total Range of Time Delay required in ‘Sec’ or ‘Min’ ??
Refer: “Write-up” Write-up on Optional Feature ‘Alarm Mute Timer’ [In-built]
This Optional Feature is used when it is required to use Annunciator in ‘Un-manned’ mode [‘Site-Select’].
[a]. Connect one-arm of a ‘Single-Pole-Single-Throw’ Switch [with ‘NO’ Potential-free Contact] to Terminal “UM” on Back
Plate of Annunciator and the other-arm to Terminal “COM”.
[b]. When above Switch is ‘Closed’ [ie., ‘NO’ Contact is ‘Closed’] Annunciator works in ‘Un-manned’ mode.
[c]. ‘Un-manned’ mode is equal to ‘Accept’ Push Button kept ‘pressed’, hence when Fault-Fault occurs, Window ‘Steady-
Glow’ & All Audible Alarms are ‘OFF’.
