For my three lessons, I chose to use a Socrative quiz, the Sketches app on the iPad,
Britannica and the Comic Strip app on the iPad as well. I chose to use a Socrative quiz
because I was able to create my own quiz and ask the questions I wanted to. Socrative also
gives detailed feedback about who got what correct or not as well as the answers they gave.
Sketches was an app I chose to use for lesson number 2 as it has features that allow imports
of photos and other media and also allowing student to be able to draw and type into the
document so they can have it laid out in the format that makes the most sense to them.
Britannica was also used in lesson 2 as it is a good website for revision at the end of the
lesson as there is activities students can access, where they use what they have just learned
to complete the activity. Britannica was also good because there was a wide range of
activities that students can do that suit all levels of understanding. The last piece of ICT that
I used was the Comic Strip app on the iPad. I chose this app as it was something different to
just remaking another life cycle and students can customise it quite a lot to how they want
it.
I chose all of these pieces of ICT because I believe they were good learning tools for
students as they are all different and interactive, keeping students engaged in all of the
lessons and something that produces a measurable end product for assessment.
