Sultanates (Mindanao)

➢ Beginnings (610 AD)

1. Shahada

4. Sawm/Saum/Puasa
- Pagaayuno or fasting
- Ramadan: when do you do it, 9th month of the hijri
calendar

- Time to get closer to allah

fortunate
- Can’t do anything pleasurable

5. Hajj

financial constraints
