Compiler's Note: If you are a newcomer to Theosophy, and you haven't already read the
first 166 compiled articles that make up the sequentially-important Introductory "Setting
the Stage" book on this web site, I highly recommend that you read that first, in order to
get well-grounded as to what true and undistorted Theosophy actually is. But if you
decide to begin here, keep in mind that it will be to your benefit to eventually read the
book in this "Volume 1--> Setting the Stage" link (a link that is found at the bottom of
every page on this web site).
I'm slowly scanning, proofreading, and adding more articles to this INDEX page. Most of
the many series and groupings of articles in the various categories listed below are
finished. Those that aren't are easy to spot because they have the number of finished
articles and the word NEW! printed in red [the latest articles in each of the two sections
that I'm working on, numbers (12) and (13), the links to which are found just below, were
done on April 10th, August 23rd, and September 18th of 2004]. Everything else that has
recently been finished, or added to this page, has the word NEW! printed in blue, along
with the date posted here (I delete this word and date from most items after about 90
days). Between the "Book" and this "Additional" section, there are now a total of 1,488
finished articles from back issues of THEOSOPHY magazine on this web site. Technical
note: Because I sometimes don't see the new things that I add to this page until I click
on the "Reload" button, I suggest that you consider clicking on your system's Reload or
Refresh button from time to time in order to make sure this page is up to date.

the 166 in the "Volume 1--> Setting the Stage" book in this link.
Statements on The Secret Doctrine (This article is listed alphabetically on the Index

In the Light of Theosophy (This is "A section in the monthly magazine: The Theosophical
Movement -- discussing current developments in science and the world and relating
them to the teachings of Theosophy". The above link is to a page on Blavatsky Net. A
similar section found in each issue of THEOSOPHY magazine is entitled "On the
Lookout". THE THEOSOPHICAL MOVEMENT magazine is a sister publication to
THEOSOPHY magazine, which is published by THE THEOSOPHY COMPANY. It was begun in
November, 1930, and is published by THEOSOPHY COMPANY (INDIA) PRIVATE LTD. It is also
available from THE THEOSOPHY COMPANY here in the U.S.A.)
Alchemical Discovery (This will eventually be the first article in a link which will contain
a growing "grouping" of science articles.)
Ancient and Modern Science (7-part-series): This is a key one that you won't want to
miss. In case you haven't read it yet, you will find it in article numbers 25-31 of the 166
in the "Volume 1--> Setting the Stage" book in this link.
...plus there are many other very important science-related articles scattered
throughout the 166 in the "Introductory" book that you will definitely want to read, if you
haven't already. They are very easy to spot just by looking through the titles on the Index
page to the book.

"Christianity in the 'Light of Theosophy'" point of view. As mentioned in the "Historical"
section above, in case you haven't read it yet, you will find it in article numbers 130-158
of the 166 in the "Volume 1--> Setting the Stage" book in this link.
SYMBOLS, NUMBERS, ALLEGORIES, MYTHS,
LEGENDS, FABLES, LANGUAGE, WORDS,
SEMANTICS, ANALOGY, CORRESPONDENCE,
PARABLES, METAPHOR, SOUND, MUSIC, CYCLES
(There are a great many other articles and series of articles that deal with these
subjects on this web site, either in full or in part, even when it's not so obvious in the title
of each article, as this sample grouping of articles, with both obvious and not-so-
obvious titles, shows.)
Word Puzzles: Semantics (This article is number 20 of the 29 that are listed on the
Index page of the "Word Puzzles" series that this link goes to.)
Note: The next article is also from the same "Word Puzzles" series:
"... Prometheus -- his tortures, his struggles, his endurance, etc. ... another aspect of
Prometheus' character that is emphasized in the original myth ...: trickery ... cunning. ...
It seems to me there must be a great deal more to this myth than is usually suggested.
Can you elaborate?" (These are parts of the comment and question that is answered in
this 26th article of the 8th grouping in the "Nine Groupings of Articles" Question &
Answer section [the 13th section on this page], which grouping is entitled "Letters-
Questions-Comment".)

the Index page of the "Word Puzzles" series that this link goes to. The subject continues
in the 25th article, entitled "Word Puzzles: Reincarnation", which also includes an article
by H. P. Blavatsky entitled "Thoughts on Karma and Reincarnation".)
"The fact that so few people are able to 'get behind' appearances -- either in events or in
men -- seems to be a continuing cause of concern. Is it possible that a concept of
Karma might help one penetrate these outward appearances?" (This is the question that
is answered in this 21st article of the 8th grouping in the "Nine Groupings of Articles"
Question & Answer section [the 13th section on this page], which grouping is entitled
"Letters-Questions-Comment".) Note: The discussion continues in the 22nd article,
which begins with this: "Last month's discussion of Karma raised some further
questions:..."
Studies in "The Ocean of Theosophy" (36-part series): This series, which is also listed

Studies (This 7-part series, which is also found above in the "Science in the 'Light of
Theosophy'" section, is listed alphabetically on the Index page of 329 "Collated" articles
that this link goes to. I've placed it here also because a lot of what is contained in the
series relates to the overall subject matter in this section.)
Note: The next article is also from the same "Collated" articles grouping:
Deity (God) (16 articles) (This grouping has been moved up to the "Christianity in the
'Light of Theosophy'" section.)
(NEW!) During the particular years that each of these nine departments from
THEOSOPHY magazine were current, which I've provided next to their names, an article
from them was presented in each monthly issue (with a few exceptions here and there),
along with the many other articles and departments in each issue. The 9th one is a
current department in the magazine. NEW!==>An important consideration for adults:
Concerning the level and quality of material that is contained within them, it would be a
mistake to assume that you might as well pass up the groupings that have the words
"Youth" and "Student" in their headings.<==NEW! I change the red colored numbers of
the finished articles in each category as I do them, as well as this number: A total of
223 articles are now finished, out of about 865.
(2) Youth-Companions' Forum (1930-41) (27 are finished) (Note: I just got back to
working in this department. I did the 27th article in the 8th department on September
18, 2004. Because I'm now spending most of my time working on my other project, an
"Economic Proposal to Humanity" which is on a completely different web site, a link to
which is found at the bottom of every page on this web site, I don't know when I'll be
able to do the next one here. All I can say is to check back from time to time for number
28.)
(9) Facets of Inquiry (since 1999) (25 have so far been published, and finished.) (Note:
This current department of THEOSOPHY magazine [which is now a quarterly] will
always be kept up to date. NEW!==>The 25th article was done on April 10, 2004.)
Compiler's note: The articles presented in this section are offered so that all present-
day Theosophists, from all organizations, and from none, can understand, along with all
of humanity, some of this history -- so as to learn from it and then put it aside from a
practical working-together point of view. Why? So that the wisest and most
knowledgeable members from within all of the groups can now come together and
present a "United" front of pure, undistorted, and undiluted Theosophy to humanity that
can always hold its own under the welcomed and tough scrutiny and investigation of all
scientists, scholars, teachers, philosophers, thinkers, religionists, and historians of this
world. How? For starters, as proposed in the right-hand column of the "Main Page" and
in the continuing "Introductory Brochure" link. Both links are found at the bottom of
every page on this web site.
It is highly recommended that you read these three very important series of articles in
the Sequence presented in order to get the best and most accurate picture of this
history as it unfolds chronologically:
The Theosophical Movement (34-part series: 1920-22) NEW!==>[Note: For those of you
who have already read this whole series, I want you to know that on May 24, 2003, long
after I originally finished proofreading and posting it here, I ran into a 1-page
"Correction" article to an item in the 34th concluding article. I put a full copy of it in a
footnote at the bottom of the page of that article.]<==NEW!
To assist and complement your study of the articles and series of articles found on this
web site, this partial listing should be helpful to anyone who does not have their own
copies:
The Theosophy Company, the publisher of THEOSOPHY magazine, the source of all of
the articles found on this web site, is where you should make contact with the Editors if
you want to invite the proposed "United" team of Theosophists, from all Theosophical
organizations (and from none), which they will be a part of, to contribute articles into
your publication (print or electronic), or if you simply want to begin to explore the
possibilities of doing so -- as well as contacting them for any other reason. You can also
purchase, from their publications catalog, any of the Theosophical books listed above,
as well as many more that are not. And besides pointing to other useful Theosophical
resources, they provide links to other organizations, such as Blavatsky Net, where you
can also purchase Theosophical publications, and where you can find links to almost all
of the articles by H. P. Blavatsky and William Q. Judge; to many if not all Theosophical
organizations and associations of students in their "Roadmap of Theosophy" section; to
many sources of hard to find information about Theosophy and its history; to various
on-line Theosophical magazines; to both the full on-line editions of the same books
found above, as well as to many more that are not listed. You will also find on Blavatsky
Net a variety of Theosophical discussion and study groups that you can join so that you
can ask questions, make comments, or just read what is being said by others.
(NEW!) In this Economics link (which is the same as the one found at the bottom of
every page) is the most updated version of my economic-project proposal to humanity,
a practical project to help our suffering world that I personally consider to also be
Theosophical. In it you will find a new and unique, but mostly unknown, economic
system model that might be able to put an end to involuntary poverty on earth. How? It
presents a way to fully finance everything of importance that is needed in every nation.
Because of this I truly feel that it's well worth pointing to. Please note that for strategic
reasons of wanting it to have the best chance of being accepted by all peoples
worldwide, no matter what their religious, philosophical, and scientific beliefs are, and
because it officially has nothing to do with the Theosophy and the Theosophical
Movement that I present on this site, I've put it on a completely different web site that is
named PublicAndPrivateEnterprise.org -- it contains no mention of, or link to, anything
on this WisdomWorld.org web site.--Compiler
