Poison Dodgeball

Equipment / Space:
o 6 balls
o 6 cones
o Large area
Set Up:
o Make a circle ~7m in diameter
Description:
o Children outside the circle rocket handball at those inside
o If a child hits, the outside team scores a point
o Teams change after 2 minutes
o After the ball his a child or exits the circle the ball is ‘dead’ and may be picked up
o The team that scores the most points wins

Handball Tag
Objective:
o
Equipment / Space:
o 1 ball
o 4 cones
o Large area
o 12 bibs
Set Up:
o
Description:
o All players begin inside the marked area
o Players A, B and C must ‘tag’ the other players by handballing the ball within the
square and touching them with the ball.
o The tagging players can only run when they don’t have the ball and therefore must
attempt to corner free players
o Once a player is tagged, they join the tagging team
o This continues until all players are tagged

Keepy-Off

Equipment / Space:
o 1 ball

o Large area
Set Up:
o Make square 10-15m^2
o Groups of 6
Description:
o The ‘four’ move around the area, handballing to each other, aiming to keep
possession, while the other 2 chasers intercept the ball/try to force an error
o The team in possession scores a point for each 3 consecutive handballs
o Change chasers after 2 minutes

Touch
ball
Objective:
o Aim
of the
game is for the team to move the ball across the field to score a goal using handballs
Equipment / Space:
o 1 ball
o 8 cones
o Large area
Set Up:
o Make square 10-15m^2
o Split group in half (2 teams)
Description:
o Ball is turned over if it hits the ground
o Ball is turned over when player with the ball is touched with 2 hands
o Players can run up to 10m before they handball
o Score a goal by handballing between 2 cones (goals)
Progression:
o Increase/Decrease field or goal size
o Prescribe number of handballs before scoring
o Hold and release tackle introduced
