BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

INTRODUCTION

Passion embroidery works today stands as one of the most known companies that
are present in noida. It claims to be excellent in the field of textiles and I feel very
fortunate to have this wonderful opportunity to complete my first ever internship in
this firm.
Given below here is a brief description of my experience at the workplace during the
internship period.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

The company majorly describes that its main motive is to diversify and computerise
its operations in embroidery so that it can stay ahead of its competitors. I had been
given the profile of a business development executive intern and had too many roles
to play.
We had to contact the customers who wanted computerised embroidery who contact
their seniors and also refer to other customers.

WORK SCHEDULE

The working schedule of the organisation is similar to any other big or small
organisation with working days being Monday-Friday and working hours made
cooperative with the college hours being from 12:30 to 6:30.

NEED FOR THE REPORT

This report has been made due to the course of requirements in BBA course.The topic
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT is rightfully chosen by my mentor and supervisor Mrs
suparna kapur , SCMS.
INDIVIDUAL CONTRIBUTIONS

As an individual my contribution to the organisation is very small. It was basically


about contacting new and old clients and pitch them about the services of the
organisation to get customers satisfaction which would in turn increase the market
share.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PROFILE

Main job went about attracting new customers and finding out business development
policies for passion embroidery . I had spent most of my working hours with the
business development team as that was my head given and had basically
involvement of the knowledge of how to understand and influence customers .
And according to my analysis every customer has a different need and these needs
vary with situation and time.

OBJECTIVES

Broad and specific objectives

The overall objective of the company research is to find new business development
policies and analysis customer behaviour .

There are 2 specific objectives


1.To find out the company the consumers prefer the most for embroidery services.

2. To find out the advertisement media that helps the consumer the most.
COMPANY OVERVIEW

Passion embroidery works in noida, Uttar Pradesh is amongst the top players when it
comes to computerised embroidery services. At the moment its concentration lies in
domestic market but it wishes to diversify in the international economy soon.
They believe that customer satisfaction is as important as any other function in the
organisation helps them grow day by day.

Passion embroidery works offers all kinds of computerised embroidery on various


types of cloth material like silk , cotton,net, polyester etc

It comprises of a number of tasks and operational processes that are particularly


aiming at the developing and implementing growth opportunities.

CONSUMER BEHAVIOUR

Consumer behaviour has become very dynamic with the coming years and has
changed dramatically from the past.
It focuses on how a customer alters his emotions and behaviour to make decisions
and spend their available resources on consumption related items.
The main asset of any company are its customers. And it has been concluded over
these years that consumers behaviour is very unpredictable and tends to change from
time to time.

Types

1.personal customer- who buys goods for his or her own use.

2 .organisational customers-it means profit or non profit business , government


agencies and institutions, all of who buys products in order to run their organisation.
JOB DESCRIPTION
I had been offered supportive jobs . They provide small opportunities to interns to
make them learn new things. Sometimes I also tried putting in my academic
knowledge to understand the job better. Seniors always appreciate the work done.
To work in the professional world theoretical and practical both knowledge is very
important.

I had to basically perform the below mentioned tasks effectively:


1. Networking and coordinating with the customers
2. Maintaining the current relationship with existing customers
3. Preparing effective PowerPoint presentation on projects

OVERALL EXPERIENCE

My overall experience as an intern was challenging but worth all the


knowledge I got at the end. Each and every situation and experience made
me learn something new about the work culture and dynamics. Above
everything I learnt that anywhere in the world customer satisfaction should
always be given more importance than any other function in the
organisation. It is an overwhelming experience to have learnt such things in
such detail at this stage so that I can perform better by each succ
