“Is the use of Internet by teenagers useful?

Nowadays, the growing of internet is increasing rapidly and the use of internet among the teenagers can
be beneficial and disadvantages for them. Moreover, almost all teenagers uses internet for their daily
life needs. The impact of the internet can be affected from their social media activities. Some teenagers
also spend their day l argely on the internet and it is hard to separate them from the internet.

But the potential risk of the internet for the teenagers are if there are online they might be facing some
problem such as cyberbullying, trolling, isolation, inappropriate material and inappropriate relationship.
The problem is if the teenagers facing this situation they might be isolated, desperate and many more.
This kind of act should be stopped because the teenagers should use the internet effectively and
usefully. Although the image persists that young people would rather text than talk, and prefer
connecting on their social media than hanging out in person.

There are some solutions to reduce the addiction of teens from the social media uses. By limiting the
uses of social media and giving them some offline activities and do some sports activities, enjoying some
time with family. Parents also play an important role in the uses of social media in the teenagers. Many
research show that parents never monitor the uses of internet in the teenagers. Parents can also ask the
teenagers to show how they use social media and how it is. They should be navigated by their parents
often to reduce the addiction from the internet.

An important step in navigating the risks of social networking is to have ongoing conversations about
social media use with your teens. If you’re already engaged in your teen’s online world, it will be easier
to have difficult conversations about some of the risks and ways to manage them. Telling them that
there are many things that more important than the internet in each teenagers daily life. We also can
put some rule to them by allow them to play the internet for some hours or not too often.

Nowadays everyone can access the internet easily. Most people have computers at their homes but
those who don`t have internet access can always go to cyber cafes where this service is provided. The
internet also gives benefits to the teenagers such as they now can easily access to the online websites
around the world. They just need to find what information they want and they also don't need to pay for
the information they get. Now teenagers can also learn about business by selling or buying online things.
They can make a profit by selling items they want to sell on the online site. If they learn business from
now on, in the future they can know that internet help them a lot.

Internet has always been speedy communication and it has excellent way beyond the expectations. New
innovations are only going to make it faster and more reliable. “Now, we can communicate in seconds
with a person who is sitting in the other part of the world. With the help of such services, it has become
very easy to establish a kind of global friendship where you can share your thoughts and explore other
cultures easily.” Entertainment is another popular reason why many teens prefer to explore the
Internet. They can entertain themselves by watching movies, reality shows or anything they like.

We cannot imagine an online life without Facebook or Twitter. Social networking has become so popular
amongst youth that it might one day replace physical activities. It has evolved as a great medium to
connect with millions of people with similar interests. Apart from finding long-lost friends, you can also
look for a job, business opportunities and many more.
The researchers’ interviews with teenagers reveal that they felt shut out of their peer group socially and
also disadvantaged in their studies as so much of the college or school work set for them to do at home
required online research or preparation. One teenager, whose parents had separated, explained that he
would ring his father who had internet access and any requested materials were then mailed to him
through the post.

people are unable to communicate with each other in real life more rather than on the
internet.

To be more specific, the internet has allowed people more power and autonomy over
themselves and at the same time, induced rapid lateral propagation of social ties.

“People can use the Internet to create and share knowledge and develop new ways of teaching and
learning that captivate and stimulate students’ imagination at anytime, anywhere, using any device.”

together, over a network, to build the global learning society.
Lucien Englen article has also both strengths and weaknesses in its arguments. According to Lucien
“Internet can give us some opportunities in the future.” As nowadays internet grows very rapidly fast,
the internet can give us some opportunities for the students or teens to build something new.

The fact that he also explains the internet, in which in the future it must be very important to all humans
that make us believed his perspective and ensure us not be biased by his article or perspective. He also
used an evidence where on 2006, He build a website called Tuenti, he explained that he was amazed
with the change of technology has a great impact for human activities in daily life.

After evaluating the arguments put forward by either side. I believe that the better arguments is “People
can use the Internet to create and share knowledge and develop new ways of teaching and learning that
captivate and stimulate students’ imagination at anytime, anywhere, using any device.” . The first
reason is it more convincing than the other perspective and this perspective also give an example about
the useful of the internet for the ways of teaching and learning. Which allow the readers to believe that
the information provided is reliable.
