My First High School Year Experience

This was my first ever year in high school and it was amazing! I
came back to the Philippines after staying in America for two years and
I wanted to go back to Seton where I studied for grade 3 and 4. I was
really excited to go back and go down memory lane but, I really didn’t
expect that much coming back. But if I had to be honest, this was one
of the best school years of my life. This was great for my first year in
high school.

When I came back, I was nervous to see a lot of my old friends,

but they all gave me a warm welcome back! All of them were so nice
and we got back together so quickly. I also made a lot of new friends
and they are so awesome. I didn’t expect to make many friends coming
back, but I was completely wrong! I don’t think I’ve ever had this much
friends!

Of course with me not being able to understand Tagalog well, I

really had a hard time with my studies. I asked for help sometimes, and
so many people actually supported me and helped me with Tagalog.
Because of this, I didn’t fail in high school yet! I learned a good amount
of words in Filipino and my grades are great. No need to brag but, I got
top 9 in the class which I never ever expected.
One thing that is so great about Elizabeth Seton School is the
community. The ESS community is so helpful and nice! The activities we
had were so fun and exciting, like the school fair and the Intramurals.
The houses were a great way to meet new people in high school and
also teach us that teamwork really makes the dream work. This school
year wouldn’t be as fun if it wasn’t for the ESS community.

I didn’t lie when I said that this was one of the best school years of
my life. It is so much fun here and I definitely would want to stay for
next year. I don’t think I would ever want to leave Seton! If this is only
my first year in high school, I wonder what’s waiting in the next years.
I can’t wait for what’s to come next school year!
