My Salvific Role in Politics

In my everyday life, as a citizen, a child, a politician, and a youth in our ministry, I have

been exposed in so many situations that tests my learnings and morality in some point that I

cannot anymore determine what is right or wrong. But somehow, in every situations I encounter,

I acquire new lessons about life and such. Today, my reflection will be about my salvific role in

politics.

Another thing I wanted the most when I grow up and graduate is to become a public

servant in our community, one of its stepping stone is when I ran and won as one of the SK

Members in our Barangay. I have reflected that we should shorten the gap between how

leadership in the government works and on the church. As a youth, I am burning with passion

and motivation to serve my fellow youth not only in our church but in our community also, my

eyes have been awakened on how impure things are as a public servant, the struggles for power,

the conflicts of each other’s interests and more that could make me turned off. But I should not

because that’s what being a youth servant in our church taught me, never go tired in serving

others.

So our mission here in politics is for us to protect our votes and choose the right persons

for the right position. The government is never perfect, but we could still make it better.
