DESIGN BRIEF
1.0 INTRODUCTION

Hospitals complement and amplify the effectiveness of many other parts of the health
system, providing continuous availability of services for acute and complex conditions.
Hospitals concentrate scarce resources within well-planned referral networks to
respond efficiently to population health needs. They are an essential element of
Universal Health Coverage and will be critical to meeting the Sustainable Development
Goals.

2.To determine the recent trends and changes in the healthcare facility needs and
to evolve a plan that can incorporate these changes and to build hospitals in tune with
modern requirements.
3.To inculcate the importance of services integration and construction in spatial
planning in the context of design of Hospital building.
