Unit 8: Developing a creative media production project

Unit 8 is to provide you with the opportunity to make use of

the skills, knowledge and understanding developed through the
previous units to complete a creative media project. The unit will
provide you with a measure of self-directed learning, and an
opportunity to begin to clarify your longer-term goals through your
choice of an activity to explore in greater depth.

Vibe productions would like you to produce a

production fit for a public exhibition and to
demonstrate your skills.

You can produce

1. A short film
2. A music video
3. A radio drama
4. A documentary

You can focus on the following roles (pairs must

cover all of these roles)

1. Producer and editor

2. Camera
3. Props / mise-en-scene / make up
4. Sound production (audio)

Your productions have no specific time / length but must follow

medium conventions.
