To Whom It May Concern:

Airess Stewart possesses the rare skill of being able to skillfully navigate every aspect of the K-12 educational
experience. She is as comfortable leading a roomful of opinionated secondary principals in a discussion about
school improvement as she is meeting one-on-one with an elementary student and helping with his or her
concerns. Her grasp of building and district-level procedure is both nuanced and impressive. Airess already is an
excellent district-level coordinator and could seamlessly move into either a building principal or district
administrative position.

I first met Airess four years ago, when I came to Power Middle School as a new principal and she was the school
social worker. She quickly moved on to become the MTSS/School Improvement Coordinator for the district,
where I was lucky enough to continue working with her at the district level. I have watched her completely
transform the School Improvement and MTSS processes for the better, first by breaking it into steps that are
easily understandable and manageable, and then by connecting all of the pieces together in a way that helps
building leaders and teachers enact meaningful change in their buildings. She completely demystified the
SIP/MTSS process and as a result, I know that I personally have a stronger grasp on the processes and have used
them to improve my building.

In addition to her knowledge of process and procedure, she is able to gracefully and effectively handle any
situation she encounters. She leads elementary principals, secondary principals and district central office
members in meetings and she is able to tailor her delivery and message to every constituency. I have seen her
exhibit grace under pressure, thoughtfulness when met with a tough dilemma and always a controlled
temperament and efficiency in every situation. She possesses all of the necessary communication skills to
succeed as a building or district-level administrator.

Airess asked me to serve as her mentor last year and truthfully, I learned as much from her and she learned from
me. She is a thoughtful decision-maker and I enjoyed our frequent discussions about issues in the district and
how to continue to evolve as an educational community. She is a huge asset to our district and while it would be
difficult to part with her, I firmly believe she is ready to take on the role of building administrator or any district-
level leadership position.

Sincerely-

Allyson Robinson
