Using Social Media
(In the Light of Quran & Sunnah )

📵 1- Don’t share any Quranic verse with out authenticating.

Because Allah Almighty said in the Holy Quran

َ ْ‫ب ِباٰیٰ ِت ٖؕه اِنَّ ٗه َال یُفْلِحُ الظّٰلِمُ و‬
‫ن‬ َ َّ‫ع َلى اهللِّٰ َك ِذبًا ا َ ْو َكذ‬ ِ َّ‫م ْن اَظْ َل ُم ِمم‬
َ ‫ن افْتَ ٰرى‬ َ ‫َو‬
And who is more unjust than one who fabricates lies against Allah or denies His signs?
Undoubtedly, the unjust will never succeed.
(Sora Al-Inam.21)
📵 2- Don’t forward any Hadith of the Prophet (peace be upon him)
until you have confirmed that it’s Hadith.

Because The Messenger of Allah(peace be upon him) said

‫م ْق َع َدهُ ِم َن النَّا ِر‬
َ ْ ‫ع َليَّ مَا َل ْم أ َ ُق ْل فَ ْليَتَبَوَّأ‬
َ ‫م ْن يَ ُق ْل‬
َ
Whoever (intentionally) ascribes to me what I have not said then (surely) let him occupy

his seat in Hell-fire.

( Sahih-ul-Bukhari ,Hadith No.109)
📵 3- Don’t share any saying of a companion of Prophet (May

Allah please with him) with out authenticating.

Because Allah Almighty said in the Holy Quran
‫ُصیْبُوْا َقوْمًۢا ِبجَ هَا َل ٍة‬ ْ َ ‫اسقٌۢ ِبنَبَا ٍ فَتَبَیَّنُوْۤا ا‬
ِ ‫نت‬ ْ ِ ‫منُوْۤا ا‬
ِ َ‫ن جَ آ َء ُك ْم ف‬ َ ٰ ‫یٰۤاَیُّهَا ا َّل ِذیْ َن ا‬
‫ع ٰلى مَا فَ َع ْلتُ ْم نٰ ِد ِمیْ َن‬ ْ ‫َفت‬
َ ‫ُص ِبحُ وْا‬
O People who Believe! If any miscreant brings you some tidings, verify it, lest you
unknowingly cause suffering to some people, and then remain repenting for what you did.
(Sora Al-Hojoraat .6)

📵 4- If you want to make something out of your life or want a

positive change then don’t make your aim of life commenting

on social media but however full fill the commandments.

Because Allah Almighty said in the Holy Quran

ِ ‫غیِّ ُر ْوا مَا ِباَنْ ُف‬
ْ‫س ِه ؕم‬ َ ُ‫غیِّ ُر مَا ِب َقوْم ٍ حَ تّٰى ی‬ َّ ِ ‫ا‬
َ ُ‫ن اهللَّٰ َال ی‬
Indeed Allah does not change the condition of people(his favour upon any nation) until they
change their own condition.
(Sora Al-Raad .11)

📵 5- Some jokes are made upon disrespecting Islam(which is

kufr)like Paradise,Angles,Hell and signs of Islam.
We should definitely not forward these kind of messages
because to make a joke out of the sign of Islam is
kufr(disbelief)

Because Allah Almighty said in the Holy Quran
‫غیْ ِر ِع ْلم ٍ َّو‬
َ ‫س ِبیْ ِل اهللِّٰ ِب‬ ِ ‫ْث لِی‬
َ ‫ُض َّل‬
َ ‫ع ْن‬ ِ ‫َّشتَ ِریْ َل ْهوَ ا ْلحَ ِدی‬
ْ ‫م ْن ی‬ ِ َّ‫َو ِم َن الن‬
َ ‫اس‬
‫م ِهیْ ٌن‬ ٌ َ‫عذ‬
ُّ ‫اب‬ َ ٕ‫هزُ ًوا ؕ اُو ٓلٰى‬
َ ‫ك َل ُه ْم‬ ِ ‫یَت‬
ُ ‫َّخذَهَا‬
And some people buy words of play, in order to mislead from Allah ‘s Path ,without
knowledge;and to make it an article of mockery;for them is disgraceful punishment
(Sora Luqman .6)

Allah Almighty said in the Holy Quran

ِ ‫ش ِدیْ ُد ا ْل ِع َق‬
‫اب‬ َّ ِ ‫ َو اتَّ ُقوا اهللَّٰؕ ا‬-ِ‫ن‬
َ َّٰ‫ن اهلل‬ ۪ ‫االِثْم ِ َو ا ْل ُع ْد َوا‬
ْ ‫ع َلى‬
َ ‫َو َال تَعَا َونُوْا‬
And don’t help one another in sin and injustice, and keep fearing Allah; indeed Allah’s
punishment is severe.
(Sora Al-Maeda .2)

📵 6- If you need guidance upon a Islamic ruling then don’t

research upon the internet as there many people out there to
misguide you.Only ask a trustworthy scholars

Because Allah Almighty said in the Holy Quran

َ‫ن‬ ْ ِ ‫ســٴَـ ُلوْۤا اَه َْل الذِّ ْك ِر ا‬
ۙ ْ‫ن ُكنْتُ ْم َال تَ ْع َلمُ و‬ ْ َ‫ف‬

O people ,Ask the people of knowledge if you do not know.

(Sora Al-Nahl.43)

The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said

Ponder ! Are you using social media ? Or is social media using you?
 ‫َو َال يَنْب َِغي للجاهل أَن يسكت عَن جَ هله‬

It is not appropriate for one who is unaware on ruling to remain silence upon it.
(Tafseer Durr-e-Mansoor v-5 p133)

The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said

ُ ‫الس‬
‫ؤال‬ ِ ‫شفا ُء‬
ُّ ّ‫العي‬ ِ ‫ فإنما‬،‫أال سألوا إ ْذ لم يَع َلموا‬
Could they not ask when they did I not know?
( Sunan abi Dawood ,Hadith No.336)
📵 7- If there is a scholar or mufti in a group then it is his right
according to his ability to guide the Muslims especially if there
is some thing which posted against Islamic rulings.

Because Allah Almighty said in the Holy Quran

‫املُنْ َك ِؕر‬
ْ ‫ن‬ِ ‫ع‬ ِ ‫امل َ ْع ُر ْو‬
َ ْ‫ف َو یَنْ َهو‬
َ ‫ن‬ ْ ‫ن ِب‬
َ ‫م ُر ْو‬ َ ‫ن ا ِ َلى ا ْل‬
ُ ْ ‫خیْ ِر َو یَا‬ ُ ‫م ٌة یَّ ْد‬
َ ْ‫عو‬ َّ ُ ‫منْ ُك ْم ا‬
ِّ ‫َو ْلتَ ُك ْن‬
And there should be a group among you that invites to goodness, and enjoins good deeds
and forbids immortality; it is they who are the successful.
(Sora Aal-e-Imran.104)

The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said

ِ ‫َست‬
ْ‫َطع‬ ْ ‫ فَ ِإ‬،‫ان ِه‬
ْ ‫ن َل ْم ي‬ ِ ‫س‬ ِ ‫َست‬
َ ِ‫َطعْ فَ ِبل‬ ْ ‫ فَ ِإ‬،‫غ ِّي ْر ُه ِبي َِد ِه‬
ْ ‫ن َل ْم ي‬ ُ ‫م ْن َرأَى ِمنْ ُك ْم‬
َ ‫منْ َك ًرا فَ ْل ُي‬ َ
ِ ْ ُ‫ضعَف‬
ِ ‫اإليمَ ا‬
‫ن‬ َ ِ‫ َوذَل‬،‫فَ ِب َق ْل ِب ِه‬
ْ َ‫ك أ‬
He who amongst you sees something abominable should modify it with the help of his hand
; and if he has not strength enough to do it, then he should do it with his tongue, and if he

has not strength enough to do it , even then he should abhor it from his heart , and that is
the least of faith.
( Sahih-ul-Muslim ,Hadith No.49)

The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said

‫َال يَنْب َِغي ل ْلعَالم أَن يسكت عَن علمه‬

It is not appropriate for a scholar to remain silence upon his knowledge.

(Tafseer Durr-e-Mansoor v-5 p133)
📵 8- If you are in a group and someone asks you a Islamic
rulings. If you are not a scholar then you should not answer
question on your understanding of the Deen however you
should refer him to trustworthy scholar or Mufti Sahib.

Because Allah Almighty said in the Holy Quran

ِّٰ‫ع َلى اهلل‬ ٰ ‫هذَا حَ ٰل ٌل َّو‬
َ ‫هذَا حَ َرا ٌم ِّلتَفْتَ ُر ْوا‬ َ ‫سنَتُ ُك ُم ا ْل َك ِذ‬
ٰ ‫ب‬ ِ ‫َو َال تَ ُقوْ ُلوْا ِملَا ت‬
ِ ‫َصفُ ا َ ْل‬

َ ؕ ْ‫ب َال یُفْلِحُ و‬

‫ن‬ َ ‫ع َلى اهللِّٰ ا ْل َك ِذ‬ َّ ِ ‫بَ ا‬
َ ‫ن ا َّل ِذیْ َن یَفْتَ ُر ْو‬
َ ‫ن‬ ؕ ‫ا ْل َك ِذ‬
And do not say the lie which your tongues speak “This is lawful, and this is forbidden” in
order to fabricate a lie against Allah; indeed those who fabricate lies against Allah will
never prosper.
(Sora Al-Nahl.116)

The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said

َ ‫ن إِثْمُ ُه‬
َ ‫ع َلى‬
ُ‫م ْن أَفْتَاه‬ َ ‫غيْ ِر ِع ْلم ٍ َكا‬
َ ‫م ْن أُفْ ِتيَ ِب‬
َ
If anyone is given a legal decision ignorantly, the sin rests on the one who gave it.
Ponder ! Are you using social media ? Or is social media using you?
 ( Sunan abi Dawood ,Hadith No.3657)

And Allah Almighty said in the Holy Quran

َ‫ن‬ ْ ِ ‫ســٴَـ ُلوْۤا اَه َْل الذِّ ْك ِر ا‬
ۙ ْ‫ن ُكنْتُ ْم َال تَ ْع َلمُ و‬ ْ َ‫ف‬

O people ,Ask the people of knowledge if you do not know.

(Sora Al-Nahl.43)

📵 9- If you need to ask a Islamic question instead of asking on

so called Islamic group, ask a trustworthy scholar or Mufti
Sahib(here is not meant by Mufti on social media)

The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said

‫ْض‬ ُ ‫ َو َل ِك ْن يَ ْق ِب‬،‫َاد‬
ِ ‫ض ا ْل ِع ْل َم ِب َقب‬ ِ ‫ع ُه ِم َن ا ْل ِعب‬
ُ ‫ض ا ْل ِع ْل َم انْ ِتزَاعًا يَنْتَ ِز‬
ُ ‫ن اهللََّ َال يَ ْق ِب‬
َّ ِ‫إ‬
‫س ِئ ُلوا فَأَفْتَوْا‬
ُ َ‫ ف‬،‫َّاال‬
ً ‫وسا جُ ه‬ َ َّ‫َاملًا ات‬
ُ َّ‫خذَ الن‬
ً ‫اس ُر ُء‬ ِ َ‫ا ْل ُع َلم‬
ِ ‫ حَ تَّى إِذَا َل ْم يُبْقِ ع‬،‫اء‬

‫ض ُّلوا‬ َ َ‫غيْ ِر ِع ْلم ٍ ف‬

َ َ ‫ض ُّلوا َوأ‬ َ ‫ِب‬
Allah does not take away the knowledge, by taking it away from (the hearts of) the people,
but takes it away by the death of the religious learned men till when none of the (religious
learned men) remains, people will take as their leaders ignorant persons who when
consulted will give their verdict without knowledge. So they will go astray and will lead the
people astray.
( Sahih-ul-Bukhari ,Hadith No.100)

📵 10 - If you are going to share something on group then only

share something good so it can be Sawab e jaria(reward which

will be continues ) for you or just remain quite and take
benefit from it.

The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said

ِ ‫م ْن ع‬
‫ ِم ْن‬،ُ‫َم َل ِبهَا بَ ْع َده‬ َ َ‫سنَّ ًة ح‬
َ ‫ َوأَجْ ُر‬،‫ فَ َل ُه أَجْ ُرهَا‬،‫سنَ ًة‬ ُ ِ ‫س َالم‬ ِ ْ ‫س َّن ِفي‬
ْ ‫اإل‬ َ ‫م ْن‬
َ
‫شيْ ٌء‬ ِ ‫ص ِم ْن أُجُ و ِر‬
َ ‫ه ْم‬ َ ‫ن َينْ ُق‬ َ
ْ َ ‫غ ْي ِر أ‬
He who sets a good precedent in Islam, there is a reward for him for this (act of goodness)
and reward of that also who acted according to it subsequently, without any deduction from
their rewards.
( Sahih -Ul- Muslim ,Hadith No.1017)

And The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said

ْ ‫خيْ ًرا أ َ ْو لِي‬
ْ‫َصمُ ت‬ ِ
َ ‫اآلخ ِر فَ ْليَ ُق ْل‬ ِ ‫ن يُؤ ِْم ُن ِباهللَِّ َواليَوْم‬
َ ‫م ْن َكا‬
َ

and anybody who believes in Allah and the Last Day should talk what is good or keep
quiet. (i.e. abstain from all kinds of evil and dirty talk).
( Sahih-ul-Bukhari ,Hadith No.6018)
It is in a person's nature when bad news spread regarding
good person even when it is not acceptable. We just accept it
with eyes closed as these kind of examples can be found in
time Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah upon him)

📵 11- We should not make pictures and attribute the quote to

any famous personally nor should we forward these messages
too.

Because Allah Almighty said in the Holy Quran
‫اب اَلِیْ ۙمٌ ِفی‬ َ ٰ ‫ش ُة ِفی ا َّل ِذیْ َن ا‬
َ ‫منُوْا َل ُه ْم‬
ٌ َ‫عذ‬ ِ َ‫َشیْعَ ا ْلف‬
َ ‫اح‬ ِ ‫نت‬
ْ َ‫ن ا‬ َّ ِ ‫ا‬
ِ ‫ن ا َّل ِذیْ َن ی‬
َ ْ‫ُحبُّو‬
َ ْ‫خ َر ِةؕ َو اهللُّٰ یَ ْع َل ُم َو اَنْتُ ْم َال تَ ْع َلمُ و‬
‫ن‬ ِ ‫اال‬
ٰ ْ ‫ال ُّدنْیَا َو‬
Indeed, those who like that immorality should be spread (or publicised) among those who
have believed will have a painful punishment in this world and the Hereafter. And Allah
knows and you do not know.
(Sora Noor.19)

The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said

َ‫س ِمع‬
َ ‫ث ِب ُك ِّل مَا‬ ْ َ ‫امل َ ْر ِء َك ِذبًا أ‬
َ ‫ن يُحَ ِّد‬ ْ ‫َكفَى ِب‬
It is enough of a lie for a man to narrate everything he hears

( Sahih -Ul- Muslim ,Hadith No.4)

📵 12- Don’t forward any inappropriate messages /Pictures as
this could be a mean of continuous sin for you meaning every
time those messages / pictures are seen, you will be sinful.

Because Allah Almighty said in the Holy Quran

‫َش َه ُد ا َ ْرجُ ُل ُه ْم ِبمَ ا َكانُوْا‬ ِ ‫ع ۤلٰى اَفْو‬
ْ ‫َاه ِه ْم َو تُ َك ِّلمُ نَا ۤ اَی ِْدیْ ِه ْم َو ت‬ َ ‫خ ِت ُم‬
ْ َ‫ا َ ْلیَوْ َم ن‬
َ ْ‫سبُو‬
‫ن‬ ِ ‫یَ ْك‬
That Day, We will seal over their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will

testify about what they used to earn.

(Sora Yaseen.65)

The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said
ِ ‫م ْن ع‬
‫َم َل ِبهَا ِم ْن‬ َ ‫ع َلي ِْه ِوزْ ُرهَا َو ِوزْ ُر‬ َ ‫ َكا‬،‫سيِّئ َ ًة‬
َ ‫ن‬ َ ‫سنَّ ًة‬
ُ ِ ‫س َالم‬ ِ ْ ‫س َّن ِفي‬
ْ ‫اإل‬ َ ‫م ْن‬
َ ‫َو‬
‫شيْ ٌء‬ ِ ‫ص ِم ْن أ َ ْوزَا ِر‬
َ ‫ه ْم‬ َ ‫ن َينْ ُق‬ ِ ‫َبع ِْد ِه‬
َ ‫م ْن‬،
ْ َ ‫غ ْي ِر أ‬
and he who sets in Islam an evil precedent, there is upon him the burden of that, and the
burden of him also who acted upon it subsequently, without any deduction from their
burden.
( Sahih -Ul- Muslim ,Hadith No.1017)

The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said

‫واملَنْظُو َر إِ َلي ِْه‬ ِ َّ‫َل َع َن اهللُ الن‬
ْ ‫اظ َر‬
Allah almighty sends his curse upon the one who man unnecessarily gaze upon an
unknown woman and also upon that woman who unnecessarily reveals herself to an
unknown man.
( Shob-ul-Eman ,Hadith No.7399)

📵 13- Some short clips apparently seen Islamic, yet

unfortunately their intro or background consist of music which
is mean of sin for the listener. And we due to ignorance,
inattention and carelessness after watching and listening to
such clips forward them. Satan urges us to do what apparently
seems good and causes us to sin instead.

Because Allah Almighty said in the Holy Quran

Ponder ! Are you using social media ? Or is social media using you?
 َ ‫غیَ ِب‬
‫غیْ ِر‬ ْ ‫ش مَا ظَ َه َر ِمنْهَا َو مَا بَطَ َن َو‬
ْ َ‫االِث ْ َم َو ا ْلب‬ ِ ‫ُق ْل اِنَّمَ ا حَ َّر َم َربِّیَ ا ْلفَو‬
َ ‫َاح‬
ِّ‫ا ْلحَ ق‬
Say, My Lord has only forbidden immoralities - what is apparent of them and what is
concealed - and sin, and oppression without right.
( Sorah Al-Eraaf .33)

And Allah Almighty said in the Holy Quran

ٍ ‫غیْ ِر ِع ْلم‬
َ ‫س ِبیْ ِل اهللِّٰ ِب‬ ِ ‫ْث لِی‬
َ ‫ُض َّل‬
َ ‫ع ْن‬ ِ ‫َّشتَ ِریْ َل ْهوَ ا ْلحَ ِدی‬
ْ ‫م ْن ی‬ ِ َّ‫َو ِم َن الن‬
َ ‫اس‬
And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the
way of Allah without knowledge.
( Sorah Luqman .6)

And Allah Almighty said in the Holy Quran

ِ ‫ش ِدیْدُا ْل ِع َق‬
‫اب‬ َّ ِ ‫نِ َو اتَّ ُقوا الله ا‬
َ َّٰ‫ن اهلل‬ ۪ ‫االِثْم ِ َو ا ْل ُع ْد َوا‬
ْ ‫ع َلى‬
َ ‫َو َال تَعَا َونُوْا‬
And do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is severe in

penalty.
( Sorah Al-Maeda .2)

The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said

ِ ‫املَي‬
‫ْس ُر َوا ْل ُكوبَ ُة‬ َ ‫ع َليَّ أَوحُ ِّر َم ا ْل‬
ْ ‫خمْ ُر َو‬ َّ ِ‫إ‬
َ ‫ن اهللَ حَ َّر َم‬
Allah forbade wine (khamr), game of chance (maysir), drum (kubah).
( Sunan-Abu- Dawood ,Hadith No.3696)

Ponder ! Are you using social media ? Or is social media using you?
📵 14- Preserving one’s gaze (from sin) is essential at all
times, however, much more precaution is needed in this
regard whilst using social media.

Because Allah Almighty said in the Holy Quran

‫ه ْم‬ َ ‫ضوْا ِم ْن اَب‬
ِ ‫ْصا ِر‬ ُ َ‫ُق ْل ِّل ْلمُ ؤ ِْم ِنیْ َن ی‬
ُّ ‫غ‬
Tell the Muslims men to keep their gaze low.
( Sorah Al-Noor .30)

And Allah Almighty said in the Holy Quran

‫الص ُد ْو ُر‬
ُّ ‫خ ِفی‬
ْ ُ‫ن َو مَا ت‬
ِ ُ‫عی‬ ْ ‫خآىٕنَ َة‬
ْ َ‫اال‬ َ ‫یَ ْع َل ُم‬

He knows that which deceives the eyes and what the breasts conceal.
( Sorah Al-Momin .19)

And Allah Almighty said in the Holy Quran

ْ ‫عنْ ُه م‬
‫َسـٴُـو ًْال‬ َ ‫ن‬ َ ٕ‫َص َر َو ا ْلفُؤَا َد ُك ُّل اُو ٓلٰى‬
َ ‫ك َكا‬ َ ‫السمْ عَ َو ا ْلب‬
َّ ‫ن‬َّ ِ ‫ا‬

Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart - about all those [one] will be questioned.
( Sorah Al-Bani Israeel .36)

The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said

‫ظو َر إِ َلي ِْه‬
ُ ْ‫واملَن‬ ِ َّ‫َل َع َن اهللُ الن‬
ْ ‫اظ َر‬

Ponder ! Are you using social media ? Or is social media using you?
Allah almighty sends his curse upon the one who man unnecessarily gaze upon an

( Shob-ul-Eman ,Hadith No.7399)

📵 15- Any horrific news in which there are graphic scenes or

images which cause the heart to tremble such as severed
limbs and brutal beatings should not be publicly shared even
if they are based on reality. Unless there is dire need, as such
images and scenes could cause negative psychological effects.
There is no harm in sharing such news with the local
authorities.
The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said
‫ َوالَ تُنَفِّ ُروا‬،‫َش ُروا‬
ِّ ‫ َوب‬،‫َس ُروا‬
ِّ ‫َس ُروا َوالَ تُع‬
ِّ ‫ي‬
Facilitate things to people (concerning religious matters), and do not make it hard for them
and give them good tidings and do not make them run away (from Islam).
( Sahih-ul-Bukhari ,Hadith No.69)

And The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said

ِ ‫م ْن آ َذ‬
ََّ‫اني َف َق ْد آ َذى اهلل‬ ِ ‫ُسلِمً ا َف َق ْد آ َذ‬
َ ‫ َو‬،‫اني‬ ْ ‫م ْن آ َذى م‬
َ
Whoever harms a Muslim has certainly harmed me, and whoever harmed me then verily he

has offended Allah almighty.

( Al Mojam-ul-Osat,Hadith No.3607)
📵 16- A kind request, don’t waste your time and other
people’s time through pointless messages such as Hi,Hello,
Ponder ! Are you using social media ? Or is social media using you?
Happy new year, Good night,Good morning etc, as every
moment is a blessing which we shall be questioned about.

Because Allah Almighty said in the Holy Quran

ِ ‫ن النَّ ِعیْم‬ َ ‫مى ٍٕذ‬
ِ ‫ع‬ َ ْ‫ُســٴَـ ُل َّن یَو‬
ْ ‫ث ُ َّم َلت‬
Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure.
( Sorah Al-Takasur .8)

📵 17- Before you comment or message anyone you should

think carefully. Is my message or comment a means of
displeasing Allah and destroying my hearafter?

Because Allah Almighty said in the Holy Quran

‫ع ِتیۡ ٌد‬ ٌ ‫ظ ِم ۡن َقو ٍۡل ا ِ َّال َل َدیۡہِ َر ِقی‬
َ ‫ۡب‬ ُ ‫مَا یَ ۡل ِف‬
Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared (to record).
( Sorah Qaaf .18)

The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said

‫خ ِريفًا ِفي النَّا ِر‬ َ ‫سب ِْع‬
َ ‫ني‬ ً ْ ‫ن ال َّرجُ َل َليَتَ َك َّل ُم ِبا ْل َكلِمَ ِة َال يَ َرى ِبهَا بَأ‬
َ ‫سا يَ ْهوِي ِبهَا‬ َّ ِ‫إ‬
Indeed a man may utter a statement that he does not see any harm in, but for which he will
fall seventy autumns in the Fire.
( Jamia-ul-Tirmizi ,Hadith No.2314)

And The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said

Ponder ! Are you using social media ? Or is social media using you?
َُّ‫ُب اهلل‬ َ ‫ن تَبْ ُلغَ مَا بَ َل‬
ُ ‫غتْ فَيَ ْكت‬ ِ ‫خ‬
ْ َ ‫ط اهللَِّ مَا يَظُ ُّن أ‬ َ ‫س‬َ ‫ن أَحَ َد ُك ْم َليَتَ َك َّل ُم ِبا ْل َكلِمَ ِة ِم ْن‬
َّ ِ‫َو إ‬
ُ‫خطَ ُه إِ َلى يَوْم ِ يَ ْل َقاه‬َ ‫س‬ َ ‫ع َلي ِْه ِبهَا‬
َ
And one of you may speak a word that angers Allah, and not know how far it reaches, but

Allah will record against him his anger, until the Day he meets Him due to that word word.
( Sunan Ibn-e-Maja ,Hadith No.3969)

📵 18- The example of social media is like that of a poisonous

snake which cannot be controlled by anyone other than an
experienced snake charmer. First and foremost, ladies,
youngsters and students should not use social media. If its use
is necessary, then this should be restricted to lawful purposes
relating to education and communication. Even in such
circumstances its use should only be for a short amount of
time, as otherwise social media will divert one from his or her
main purpose and become a means of time-wasting, and who
knows what one may become habitual of.

The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said

َ ‫ن يَعْمَ َل ِفي‬
‫خيْ ٍر فَ ْليَعْمَ ْل ُه‬ ْ َ‫ع أ‬َ ‫استَطَا‬ ْ ‫ن‬ ِ ‫م‬َ :‫ول‬ ِ ‫س ُه ِف‬
ُ ‫يه إِ َّال يَ ُق‬ َ ْ‫مَا ِم ْن يَوْم ٍ طَ َل َعت‬
ُ ْ‫شم‬
‫ع َليْ ُك ْم أَبَدًا‬
َ ‫م َك ِّر ٍر‬ َ ‫فَ ِإنِّي‬
ُ ‫غيْ ُر‬
Everyday, at the time of sunrise the day proclaims, ‘If you wish to perform any good deed,

then do so, for I shall never return after today.

( Shob-ul-Eman ,Hadith No.3558)

19 📵 - Be wary in opening unknown links, as these often
contain more harm than good which can result in your account
being hacked.

The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said

َ ُ‫ك إِ َلى مَا َال يَ ِريب‬
‫ك‬ َ ُ‫ع مَا يَ ِريب‬
ْ ‫َد‬
Leave what makes you in doubt for what does not make you in doubt.
( Jami-ul-Tirmizi ,Hadith No.2518)

📵 20- The device present in your hand may appear to be

something small, however, its correct or incorrect use could
weigh down your scale of good or bad deeds in the hereafter.

Because Allah Almighty said in the Holy Quran

‫م ْن‬ َ ۡ‫املُفۡلِحُ و‬
َ ‫( َو‬8)‫ن‬ ۡ ‫موَا ِزیْنُ ٗه فَاُو ٓلٰ ِئکَ ہُ ُم‬
َ ۡ‫ن یَوۡم َِئ ِذ ۣا ۡلحَ قُّ ۚ فَمَ ۡن ث َ ُق َلت‬
ُ ۡ‫َو ا ۡلوَز‬
َ ْ‫س ُه ْم ِبمَ ا َكانُوْا ِباٰیٰ ِتنَا یَظْلِمُ و‬
‫ن‬ ِ ‫خ‬
َ ُ‫س ُر ۤوْا اَنْف‬ َ ‫ك ا َّل ِذیْ َن‬
َ ٕ‫موَا ِزیْنُ ٗه فَاُو ٓلٰى‬
َ ْ‫خفَّت‬
َ
And the weighing [of deeds] that Day will be the truth. So those whose scales are heavy - it
is they who will be the successful.And those whose scales are light - they are the ones

who will lose themselves for what injustice they were doing toward Our verses.
( Sorah Al-Eraaf 8-9)
📵 21- Do not fall prey to believing that by changing your name
or creating a fake account to share wrongful material nobody
will know who the actual account holder is.

Because Allah Almighty said in the Holy Quran
ِ ‫السمٰ و‬
‫ٰت َو‬ َّ ‫ص ُد ْو ِر ُك ْم ا َ ْو تُبْ ُد ْوهُ یَ ْع َلمْ ُه ال ّل ُه َو یَ ْع َل ُم مَا ِفی‬
ُ ْ‫خفُوْا مَا ِفی‬ ْ ِ ‫ُق ْل ا‬
ْ ُ‫ن ت‬
‫شی ٍْء َق ِدیْ ٌر‬َ ‫ع ٰلى ُك ِّل‬ َ ‫ض َو ال ّل ُه‬ ِ ؕ ‫اال ْر‬
َ ْ ‫مَا ِفی‬
Say, "Whether you conceal what is in your breasts or reveal it, Allah knows it. And He
knows that which is in the heavens and that which is on the earth. And Allah is over all
things competent.

( Sorah Ale-Imran .29)
