Description

Add new tasks or make changes to the existing project plan in the "Gantt Chart" worksheet

The chart should adjust automatically based on the tasks changed in Step 1

When dates are changed by a longer timeframe, you will have to make changes to the Gantt chart manually.
For example, if "Planned Start Date" in cell B2 in the "Gantt Chart" sheet is changed to 08/10/2014, then you
will have to manually alter the Gantt chart using the below steps. (Note: Steps 4-8 are needed only if the
modified dates are not in between start date of the first task and the end date of the last task.)

Once cell B2 is changed to 08/10/2014, right click and "format cells." Note the number as shown in the
screenshot in cell D5 (41, 798 is the number).

Right click on the date axis as shown in cell D6

Click on "Format Axis." Observe the maximum and minimum axis numbers.
Modify the minor axis number to "41, 798"

The Gantt chart should adjust automatically as shown in cell D9.

Information related to resources/teams can be added in the individual rows. For example, "Define Scope"
tasks need involvement of functional resources and project managers. This information has been highlighted
in the Gantt chart.

You can color individual cells based on where they fall in the overall project lifecycle. All Project Initiation
tasks can be colored with a particular color, all project planning tasks with a different color, etc.
