Dear Mr. Ban Ki-moon:

Technology in the environment has changed because man began to demand more than what is
due to nature, but people are aware that the more we ask the environment, the more it demands
of us. In addition, some people are not aware of the damage they are doing to the environment
because they indiscriminately extract resources from the environment to elaborate and
manufacture elements that benefit man, but at a high cost because it has brought about as a
negative effect changes in the ecosystem, pollution of air, soil and water.

According to the research carried out on the current state of the planet and from my point of
view I consider that, if the man continues with the same consumerism and technological
development, it will cause irreparable damage such as increased pollution, deforestation,
accelerated extraction of non-renewable resources, increase health problems and degradation
of ecosystems that will lead to global warming that would cause the degradation of fertile lands
destined for crops which will affect the subsistence of humanity and worsen the living
conditions of many people. However, we are still in time for this situation to be avoidable and
is making the necessary changes in people's way of life.

The environmental crisis that our planet is currently facing deserves special attention by the
governments, but especially by the organization of the united nations so that they take the
necessary measures so that they are established within each country that help to mitigate the
environmental problems in order to have a better world; therefore, the solutions that could be
given in each country would be to establish environmental policies that promote the use of
ecological technology that allows changing the habits of people of consumerism by appropriate
behaviors that help the care and preservation of the environment.
