PROJECT QUALITY PLAN – Method Statement Dec-11-18 Rev. 000

1. INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this method of statement is to describe the procedure step by step to
implement the standard and correct practices for the installation of Cable Tray/Conduit for Feeder
System and to ensure that the job execution complies with the requirements, specification and
applicable cable tray installation code or other standards.

Specification and standards to be used will be as per the latest Philippine Electrical Code,
PEC-1, 2012, Utility Company (Enerzone) and Park Regulation.

2. GENERAL SCHEME

The sequence of installation of cable tray/conduit for Feeder System will be as follows:

a) Approval of For Construction Drawing / Shop Drawing/Materials


b) Check site condition prior to installation
c) Installing and fixing of cable tray/conduit, accessories and support, including cable bonding ground
connections
d) Perform inspections
e) System Hand-over

TYPICAL METHODOLOGY

a) Approval of For Construction / Shop Drawing / Materials


Secure approval from client prior to execution of work at site

b) Check site condition prior to installation


Ensure that work area is ready and safe to start the installation of cable tray/conduit for Feeder
System layout.

c) Installing and fixing of cable tray/conduit for Feeder system, including cable bonding ground
connections
1. Upon confirmation of the work area, the engineer and supervisor will confirm the actual layout and
elevation (mounting height) of Cable Tray/conduit and supports as per approved construction
details/shop drawing.
2. Provide/install safety barrier and signboard to secure the work area of installation.
3. Make sure to coordinate with different system/trade of work before start of work.
4. Check for any damage or defects, details dimensions of all cable tray/conduit and accessories to be

installed as per the specification and shop drawing approved prior to installation.
5. All cable tray/conduit to be properly identified per main and branch feeder homerun before
termination/connection in panels.
6. Installation of other cable tray/ c o n d u i t to be as shown in the approved shop drawings.

d) Perform inspections
1. Check all installed cable tray/conduit, accessories and support, including cable bonding ground as
per approved specification and construction drawing.
2. Conduct visual inspection prior to acceptance.
3. Inspection shall be based on completed and approved drawing and system documentation as per
standard requirements for the installation of cable tray/conduit for feeder system layout.
4. Field inspections shall be witnessed by engineer/client representative.
5. Record all gathered data and take photo during inspections.

e) System Hand-Over
1. After inspections, authorized service engineer representative shall prepare and provide training
demonstration to building facility maintenance team and client representative.
2. Submit record of completion and supporting documentations for the installation of cable tray/conduit
for Feeder System.

5. SAFETY CONTROL
a) Daily Toolbox Meeting (Engineer/Forman/Workers)
 A daily toolbox meeting shall be conducted prior to start of every works highlighting and
discuss the dangers and hazards associated with and the precautions to take in the actual
works to be carried out.

b) Warning Signboards and Safety Barricades


 The working area for the installation of cable tray/conduit for Feeder System layout
shall be barricades and installed warning signboards to safe the area and to distinguish
that there is an on-going construction works.

c) Safety Officer, Safety Meeting and Safety Patrol


 The installation of cable tray for Feeder System layout will be subjected to the Safety
Officer's regular supervision. Prior to start of every works a safety/daily meeting shall be
conducted to discuss the hazards and danger on the construction sites. Regular safety patrol
will be conducted to review the on-going operations and construction works.

d) Safe Equipment Operation


Recommended safety measures during installation of cable tray/conduit for Feeder System works:
1. Workers not involved with the installation of cable tray/conduit activity should not be allowed
within the perimeter radius of the working areas.
2. During installation, workers must observe correct practice of discipline, presence of mind and
pay attention to the safety of the work.
3. All staff/workers involved with the installation of cable tray/conduit activity will be required to
wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE's).
4. Care must be taken when working on the elevated heights wear proper safety harness and

personal protective equipment (PPE's).


5. Secure the work area of installations and provide adequate safety barriers and safety/warning
signboard.

6. QUALITY CONTROL

a) To ensure that the steps of the procedures are fully complied with, certain inspection on the materials
and works will be carried out. A general inspection sheets representing verification of cable tray,
accessories and support installation and quality test will be submitted for approval.
