BEST FOOTFORWARDseeks to identify exceptional design talent and celebrate

outstanding work by students during their academic life under AAKAR 2018.

ELIGIBILITY
 Current undergraduate students of second, third, fourth and fifth year of
architecture are eligible to participate.

SUBMISSION FORMAT ANDRULES

 Participants are asked to submit their current completed academicarchitectural
design project.
 Project should have been completed as a part of academic work at college in the
year 2016-17 or 2017-18.(Stated under university syllabus)
 Only one project should be covered per submission.
 A participant may submit more than one entry.
 Maximum of 2A2 sheets in non-editable and readable format (pdf) less than 25 MB.
 Participants should not reveal his/her identity anywhere on the sheet. Unique
identification code will be provided on registration.
 Jury decision will be final one.

EVALUATION CRITERIA
Since the submission would belong to wide range of topics and the sizes of the projects
would also vary, the evaluation would be focused on broader areas such as,
 The design process
 The idea/concept
 Reference to the context.
 Sustainability
 Spatial character
 Presentation skills
All entries will be judged under three categories divided as-

 Category 1- Second Year

 Category 2- Third Year
 Category 3- Fourth & Fifth Year
AWARDS
Category 1 – BEST FOOT FORWARD – SECOND YEAR – 5000/- + certificate.
Category 2 – BEST FOOT FORWARD – THIRD YEAR – 5000/- + certificate.
Category 3 – BEST FOOT FORWARD – FOURTH YEAR – 5000/- + certificate.
Every participant would be provided with participation certificates
