Delphinidae, usually called oceanic dolphins are a family, which hosts about 34 species.

They measure between 2 and 9 meters long, with the fusiform body and the large head, the
elongated snout and a single blowhole on the top of the head. They are considered among the
most intelligent species that inhabit the planet

Like other cetaceans, dolphins use sounds, dance and jumping to communicate and reach their
prey; They also use echolocation.

Feeding

Newborn dolphins feed on breast milk,. Then they feed on fish, squid and seafood that they hold
with their sharp teeth

Breathing

To breathe they need to ascend to the surface of the sea, making a store of air that allows them to
stay submerged up to 50 minutes and even more. During their stay in the water their respiratory
organs remain closed

Danger of extinction

These animals are in constant danger, since many come to hunt when they catch the tuna and not
only one goes by net, there are times ranging from 10 to 12 dolphins included with the tuna. But
not only that, the dolphins are in danger because they also use them as military experiments,
mainly the Germans, or if they do not use them to know the functioning of their brain or the
waves transmitted by their means of communication.
