1. What kind of culture that the French people have that manifested in the movie?

French culture is a center of fashion, cuisine, art and architecture. The main setting of the
movie is in “Paris” and some the culture that manifested in the movie are:
 Dinner is very important for the family. No business related things during dinner.
 French cuisines are very ample in the movie like Foie gras and Ratatouille.
 Parisian atmosphere in the movie Ratatouille: the fountain for example, with its
rat heads and champagne bottles in memory of the ones on Place des Vosges with
their circular basins and their lion heads from which water pours out.
 The iconic Eiffel Tower of Paris shown in the movie.

2. Of all subjects, Why do you think the movie choose a “Rat” to represent a French
cook?
In this movie a mouse is an image of dirtiness and cooking is a job with an image of
cleanliness. That’s a super contrast. It’s just to show how impossible it is for a mouse to be a
chef.
I think they choose rat as French Cook to show us that whatever our condition, wherever
we come from, whatever we look like, and whatever our background, but we certainly have
unexpected skills that we can develop it. And, the bravery can make our dream come true.
This movie wants to show us the reality on how often we judge people based on their
physical appearances and frame our opinions on them without even looking at their
capabilities and talents.

4. Why do you think Ratatouille is the central dish in the movie?

They chose ratatouille as their main dish because it is a food for poor people.
Aside from it is a rat that made or discovers it. When Ego tastes the dish, coincidence that
the integrity recalls his experience of his mother's expression of love through food. He is
reminded of the true power of love. Though ratatouille is a simple dish and not popular in
their town it is special because they made it full of love.

5. What is the Morale of the Story?

"Not everyone can become a great artist but a great artist can come from
anywhere". Whatever our appearance is we have our own abilities, capabilities and skills
that we possessed and develop.

Don’t let anyone to define our limits, our only limits is our soul so we have the authority
to govern the direction of our own life. There are a lot of difficulties, struggles and
hindrances that we may encounter; we just need to focus on our goals and how to pursue
it. We never know until we try to make our fears to be our strengths and be the power of
your voice. Appearance is not all matters but the perseverance and the dreams you have.
Be ambitious, size doesn’t matter but actions do.
