TALKING ABOUT EDUCATION

1. WHAT WERE YOUR FAVORITE SUBJECTS IN SCHOOL AND WHY?

R/ My favorite subjects were artistic and Spanish because I like to drawing and painting.
Also I like to reading but books of adventure more that books academics

2. WHAT WAS THE MOST USEFUL PART OF YOUR EDUCATION AND WHY?

R/ The most important part of my education was the learning of values because I consider
yourself a good person.
Learn to write and read is important and useful but values are more important.

3. WHAT WOULD YOU CHANGE ABOUT YOUR EDUCATION AND WHY?

R/ I would change the process as learned English. because the teachers when they spoke
in English did it so fast that I did not understand and they also wanted me to respond
quickly; When I did it I felt embarrassed because I pronounced badly and that caused me
fear and shame.

4. WHAT DO EXPERTS SAY ABOUT “WHAT IS EDUCATION” FIND OUT DEFINITIONS WHICH
ONES DO YOU AGREE THE MOST AND WHY?

R/ Education has different points of opinion on the part of experts on “what is

education?”, because some of them say it is a science, others say it is an art and others
point to a phenomenon that belongs intrinsically to the human species and that is
develops in a social way.
Many have been the pedagogues throughout history who have raised their theories about
education, however, among all of them, figures like Paulo Freire stand out. This is an
educator of Brazilian origin. It belongs to the popular education current. However, next to
this figure, we must point out that many other colleagues who, like him, have exposed
their theories and visions about this science based on education. This would be the case of
Robert Gagné, Jürgen Habermas or Ivan Petrovich Pavlov.
And that's why popular education is the basis of my profession as a teacher.

5. WHAT EDUCATIONAL AIMS AND VALUES YOU HAVE IN MIND?

R/ I would like to complement my current profession with a study of psychology in

education but in a country like Brazil. To understand better how is the children's learning
and thus be able to help in complex processes such as learning another language.

6. WRITE YOUR OWN DEFINITION ABOUT EDUCATION.

R/ Education is the vision of a child's future, it is as important as receiving love. But above
all, it must be the priority that society must guarantee.
