introduction

Welcome to our guide to activities and services for young people

in Southwark. The guide is intended for use by people who work
with, or run services for, young people aged 11 to 19 (up to 25 for
young people with special needs), though parents and carers will
find it useful too. We hope it helps you see the full range of services
on offer. Please share this information with others, and encourage
young people to make the most of what’s on offer. The information
is listed under themes, within our four locality areas – Camberwell
and Dulwich; Peckham, Nunhead and Peckham Rye; Bermondsey
and Rotherhithe and Borough, Bankside and Walworth. Some of the
projects cover the whole borough although they may be based in one
particular location. To find out which projects are borough-wide there
is a separate index at the back as well as the usual alphabetical index.
The guide was collated by the youth providers network, a group of
people who work with or provide services for young people, and
which supports youth providers in Southwark. The network has
regular meetings, and a weekly e-bulletin updates members on
current projects.
If you would like to find out more about the network, or would like
your service details promoted on our youth website, www.whtvr.org,
