Every great victory begins with a collection of small seeds which are done
with great passion and dedication. The same thing goes to a great country. A
country will never be a great country if the citizens expect the country to do so
many things for them because the foundation of a great country is driven by the
people who are willing to do great things for the country. As a student, there are
many things that I can do for my country to show my deepest love.
The first thing that I will do to show my love for the country is I will do my
own research about the history of my country. I will try my best to read as many
history books as I can especially the history books which are written in English. I
must digest these historical facts to help me understand my roles to preserve
the racial and religious harmony which have been done by our forefathers.
These historical facts will also help me to understand the chronology of the
physical development of the major cities as this knowledge will help me to
understand why these changes had to be done in the first place.
The second thing that I will do to show my love for my country is I will try
my best to have friends of different ethnic groups because peace and mutual
understanding are driven by deep understanding and our willingness to embrace
the differences. I will also try to learn more about their languages because
language is the gate to the soul. On the other hand, we can reduce prejudice to
the maximum because as the matter of fact, all of us are the descendants of
Adam and Eve. In addition to that, I will try my best to learn about other religions
to improve my understanding about other religions because religions will always
remain sacred while the followers will always remain as sinners. Without
understanding and mutual respect, we are actually giving birth to religious
conflicts which will definitely tear us apart.
The third thing that I will do to show my love for my country is I will be
involved in non-governmental organisations which are strongly related to my
interest so that I can play my part effectively in building or protecting the assets
of my country. I will join NGOS that fight for human rights or protect the
environment especially our forests because I love nature and I know nature will
show no mercy when human greed is beyond control. I will also help to educate
the people about their rights in many aspects to prevent them from being
manipulated or cheated by irresponsible individuals or organizations.
The last thing that I will do to show my love for my country is I will try to
give my best in everything I do so that I will have a specific knowledge or skills
that can be shared with others. This knowledge or expertise will help to produce
more experts in a particular industry which will boost the economic growth of
my country. If we have more experts in our country, this will help to develop
innovative thinking among the citizens in which we may be able to create many
things which can be exported to other countries. If giving the best becomes our
culture, this country will be as great as other developed countries.
In conclusion, the love for the country must always be translated into
affirmative and continuous actions because words alone are not enough as
words are merely bubbles which will die young when they hit the heat of the
