ONLINE PETS CARE CENTER

ABSTRACT

The “Online Pets Care Center” is a web based application where in the
welfare of pet animals are taken care of. It is a place where stray, lost, abandoned
or surrendered pets are brought and severed them. Each pet requires a special
care and attention which is fulfilled in organization. The application provides the
user to adopt a pet, volunteer towards the pet, purchase the products that are
related to pets and donate the desired amount to the organization. Since this
application is developed for a non-profitable organization, amount donated will
be utilized for the welfare of the pets. The user of the application can work
towards a pet as a volunteer and also he/she can adopt the pet from the
application. The application contains pets related products such as food,
grooming products etc. for purchase. The purchase of products is done using
credit card, debit cards or cash on delivery. The application also provides
guidelines to the user regarding the health care of pets, how the pets need to be
nurtured, how they have to be taken care after being adopted. The application
tries to provide all the facilities and guidelines that are required for caring and
nurturing the pets

INTRODUCTION

The current system of grooming the pets is done manually which is time
consuming. Maintaining of records is difficult and may be misplaced which leads
lot of confusion or a great fuss.

The main idea of this project is to provide a user friendly interface to automate
the process of serving towards the welfare of the pets by giving the abandoned
pets a place of shelter and care them with affection. The application also gives
guidelines for caring towards the pets, adoption procedure of a pet and
volunteering towards the pets. The user can do the adoption process through the
application as this process is time consuming if done manually.The application
provides the user an option of donating any amount to the organization. The
donation can be done using cash cards or wire transaction (fund transfer).

The user can register them to the organization through the application and
choose their area of interest as to work as volunteer, adopting a pet or purchasing
the products related to pets. For adoption as well as volunteering, the user can
choose the pets that are in organization view their details and if they wish they
can continue with the process of adoption or volunteer. The volunteers are
appointed for few days.

In case of purchase of products related to the pets, the user can choose the
products they require from the application the products are organized based on
categories (i.e. pets). Payment of the purchased products is done by using by
credit card, debit card or cash on delivery.

The administrator of the application will be able maintain the records of the
volunteers, adopters of the pets, purchasers of the products and the donation
details of the organization making the manual work easier. The administrator can
also maintain the details of pets and products. In case of products stocks, he/she
can add the product if there is shortage of it.

 And also the solution for over population of pet animals is been discussed.

Limitations

 Limitation of this website is that only the static details is been discussed.
 No dynamic features such as adoption and volunteer is not included.

Features

 This website is developed for central government for pet animal caring
which a non-profitable organization is.
 In this site, the pets breads are categorized based on the behavior and
training to identify the breads is been discussed.

Limitations

 This website only gives information about the breads and how to care them
but no online procedure of adoption or volunteering is discussed.

3. Petfinder

Features

 This website provides the feature of adopting pet animals online with price
as this is a profitable organization.
 It also displays the bread information, pet health care and avails courses for
customers regarding taking care of a pet.

Limitation

 This website does not provide product related to food and grooming of pets
nor purchase of it.
 The transaction process is only through card and not through wire
transaction or net banking.

The above process is manually done, time consuming process.

MOTIVATION
To provide an ease of working towards welfare of abandoned, stray, lost or
surrendered pets.

OBJECTIVE AND SCOPE

The main objective of this project is to automate the process of serving

towards the welfare of the pets by giving the abandoned pets a place of shelter
and care them with affection.

Scope of the project is limited to intranet for time being it is not deployable
in any hand held devices.

PROPOSED SYSTEM
It saves the time, paper work is less, and easy retrieval of records,
automating the system reduces the process of middle man who takes
commission.

(b) 90% of the responses should be within 2 sec, except for downloading current

prices for which more time is acceptable.

EXTERNAL INTERFACE REQUIREMENTS

Initially the user can view all the functionality of the application later if they
want to use the services then they have to register themselves as either as
volunteer, visitor or adapting a pet. Once the users register them they are
identified by a unique id. On the next visit of the user they must authenticate
them to utilize the services provided by the application. If the user is unable to
look after their pets then the user can avail the service of the application that
provides daycare service for the pets. The user can also purchase the products
related to the pets online. The health care facility for the pets can also be utilized
by the user once registered with the application.

The user can also donate to the organization through this application
without any prior registration. The donation is through card or wire banking. In
the case of wire banking the details of the bank such as account no, branch etc is
provided.

The administrator will be able to manage all the records related to the pets
and the users registered with the application. The administrator is also
responsible for adding, deleting, editing and updating the necessary details that is
displayed in the application.
