PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Standard Chartered Bank Database (DAAS) consists of 20+ RAC Cluster Databases and 200+ single
instance Databases hosted on Red Hat Linux/Solaris/Aix. All the applications run as schema in the
Database with resource manager controlling each of the application’s resources. The Databases are
monitored by oracle 12C/13C grid control. Remedy is used as the ticketing tool. Oracle RMAN
incremental update backup is in place for Database backups.

The project is a part of the World Bank outsourcing which consists of providing 24X7 support to all the
World Bank applications with backend databases oracle, sql & Sybase. The 24X7 support covers nearly
400 oracle Databases (current phase) of production, pre-production, testing, QA & development
environments reside on Aix platform. Aix HACMP cluster is used for the production & pre-production
setup. The oracle backups were taken using SqlBacktrack & RMAN (TDP interface) into tapes managed
by TSM. Peregrine is being used as the change management tool.

the sprint applications (currently 24 applications) with backend Databases in oracle. The 24X7 support
