(Ministerial Report from July 2006 to June 2007)

God’s chosen men are diamonds in the
rough—mostly unsophisticated, uneducated by
man’s standards—yet vessels God recognizes,
who possess the unique commitment to faithfully
follow Him. The missionary endeavour of such a
dedicated team of 311 full time missionaries and
a zealous band of lay leaders who cherish and
champion the noble cause of Revival and
Evangelism in India, is briefly summed up in this
report under the broad classification of Five Fold
Ministry. The important happenings that took
place during the second half of the Year of
Excellence (2006) and in the first half of the Year
of Faith (2007) boldly testify — Trust and
Triumph.
A. REVIVAL MINISTRY
The BYM continues to be a revival movement
in India. It aims to labour for the renewal of fellow
Christians and mobilize them to fulfill the Great
Commission. The overall work was effectively
executed by Mr. Y. Paul Dinakaran, the AC
Member—Revival and Prayer.
19 Revival Meets were held in significant
places namely, Hubli (KA), Mumbai and Kolhapur
(MH), Vadodara (GJ), Jaipur and Ajmer (RJ),
Hazaribagh (JH), Sagmootia (AS), Ramnad and
Thiruvallur (TN), etc. A major revival camp,
Blesso conducted in Anand (GJ) was a blessing
to the 425 participants gathered from all the
churches. Also after the three decades of ministry
among Siddi tribes in Karnataka, a revival camp,
Blesso for Siddis was organized in Yellapur (KA).
Christian Excellence Camp, a major revival
programme for the partners and well wishers of
the BYM was held in Sitteri Hills, the BYM’s first
mission station (2006 Sept 30 to Oct 2). Valuable
lessons regarding excellence in life and work were
taught.
To inculcate the missionary vision and mobilize
prayer for missionary evangelism, special
programmes namely, Vision Camp, Power 2007,
Jeewan Deep, Teachers Conference, Blessing
Meet, Teachers Meet, Mission Sunday, Bless
Kharagpur and Blessing Sunday were conducted.

Four Deborah Camps were held in Nadiad
(GJ), Sagar and Jabalpur (MP) and Guntur (AP).
37 Bible Study groups and prayer cells
functioned in all the States, in which about 748
children of God studied the Word carefully in
fellowship. Also, 25 Partners Meets were held
in different States of ministerial operation, where
2205 well wishers of the BYM attended the
meetings. Thanks to the services rendered by the
Vice Chairman (Revival) Mr. J. Santhakumar and
his wife, who communicated to the sponsors with
the help of Mrs. Usha Jebaratnam.
Needy Land Tour was an inspiring traveling
experience to the 22 partners of Tamilnadu and
15 partners of Delhi. A team from Tamilnadu
visited Ajmer, Jaipur, Neem-ka-thana and
Singhana mission fields whereas the team from
Delhi under the leadership of Mr. Victor P.S.
Kumar visited Singhana and the surrounding
mission fields in Rajasthan.
B. LITERATURE MINISTRY
Literature ministry is a tool in the revival
ministry. One of the ministerial goals of the BYM
is to make available quality Christian literature to
all the sections of the society at affordable prices.
The literature ministry at large in India was
spearheaded by Mr. J.J. Selvaraj (Production),
Mr. K. Gunasekaran (Production) and Mr. L.
Stephen Dhanaraj (Distribution) under the
guidance of Mr. D. Elango, the AC Member—
Literature.

 During this year, 12 new Blessing books were
printed in different vernaculars along with the
reprinting of 11 books. Five major Literature Drive
Programmes (LDPs) were conducted in strategic
cities. God in His sovereign plan gave us a burden
to reach the ethnic groups of India, who speak
different languages. The writing ministry of the
BYM has made a great impact among the 10
vernacular languages and English through the
publication of Blessing magazine. The team
efforts of the writers, editors, translators,
publishers and printers deserve a great applause.
The VCD message of the Founder, Mr. R. Stanley,
‘How not to work’ was sent to all the life sub-
scribers of Blessing magazine in December 2006.
C. YOUTH MINISTRY
Over 50% of the world population is under 25
years of age. In order to mobilize Christian youth,
the campus ministry—Students for Jesus (SFJ) is
given top priority since the inception of the Mission.
It goes with the truth spelt by our former
President A.P.J. Abdul Kalaam—Youth Won,
India Won.
The nationwide youth ministry is carried out
by 36 full time missionaries along with voluntary
youth workers under the guidance of Mr. S.
Ebenezer, the Overseer—Youth and Mr. Victor
P.S. Kumar, the AC Member—Youth. There is a
steady progress in the ministry over the years. In
June 2007, a new centre for the ministry among
the urban youth has been opened in our National
capital New Delhi. Dr. and Mrs. G. Jebasingh, a
dedicated couple have taken up the responsibility
of looking after this cause.
For effective functioning, the campus ministry
in Tamilnadu was decentralised into five major
regions and was regularly reviewed by Mr. P.G.A.
Victor, the State Secretary—SFJ along with 121
honorary overseers. By the beginning of this
academic year, the charge was handed over by
him to Mr. Godwin Samuel, Chennai.
The gospel camps namely Sozo (for boys &
girls), Halo (for boys) and Aroma (for girls) were
well attended in all the States. During this year
94 Sozos were conducted in Karnataka, Assam,
Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Tamilnadu through
which the gospel was taken to 11,732 youth.

Four Halos were held, one each in Davangere
(KA), Madar (RJ), Jaipur (RJ) and Tejpur (AS) in
which 806 budding boys were enlightened through
the word of God. Aroma (TN) was one of the
mega gospel camps in reaching 1019 young girls
with the gospel. Tribal Youth Festival 2007 was
another venture in the history of the BYM to reach
380 tribal youth.
To give missionary challenge and field
exposure, Summer Missionary Programme (SMP)
was conducted for the believing youth of
Tamilnadu and Karnataka. 68 students from both
the States were divided into four teams and were
sent to Sitteri fields (TN) and Yellapur and Mynalli
(KA), which was a very challenging experience.
D. CHURCH PLANTING MINISTRY
The ministry of planting and nurturing the
churches was carried out in eight States. Mr. V.
Ponnusamy, the senior missionary of the BYM
gave the leadership to the wing of Church Planting
and Growth.
36 people groups namely Konds, Doms, Gana
and Saura (OR); Siddi, Banjara, Gowli, Madar
and Vaddar (KA) ; Mang, Mahar, Lingayat,
Warali, Maratha and Dhanagar (MH); Vankar
and Vasava (GJ); Hindu Malaiyali, Lambadi,
Harijan, Erular, Kuravar, Vellalar, Chettiyar,
Udaiyar, Vanniyar and Achariyar (TN) ;
Ahirwar, Banskar and Choudhary (MP); Balai
and Bhil (RJ) and Bangalese, Nepalese, Shadri
and Santali (WB) were identified as responsive
people groups and continual efforts were made
to take the gospel to them in their cultural context.
Extensive outreach programmes and special
gospel meetings helped to establish 5021 contacts

in 199 villages in addition to the old ones. As a
progressive total, the BYM has established 22,505
contacts in 7,486 villages. This year, 563 people
declared their faith in the Lord through water
baptism and joined the fellowship. Presently there
are 11,244 baptised believers who worship the
Lord in various mission fields of BYM. Sixtyfive
new indigenous worshiping groups/congregations
were planted in addition to the earlier ones. Three
more worship sheds in Govindapalli and Diptipur
areas and three church buildings in Umerkote and
Saura areas were constructed. Mr. Mohana
Krishnan helped in the execution of the
construction work. 40 native workers have newly
joined the mission to shoulder the responsibility
for evangelisation of their own people.
Since in the past women had limited
opportunities to network and be trained to use their
hidden talents, the BYM encouraged them to play
their role in church planting. This year God used
many lady missionaries to teach the word of God
diligently to the emerging believers.
To foster and nurture church planting
movement aiming at mega harvest, a special
consultation programme was held in Vijayawada
in September 2006 under the leadership of Mr. V.
Ponnusamy, the AC Member—Church planting
and Growth.
Sunday School ministry of the BYM emphasised
the holistic development in children. 4096 children
grew in the faith and knowledge of Christ through
149 Sunday school centres over the year. Also
through the Vacation Bible School ministries 3803
children experienced a closer walk with Jesus.
Missionaries and believers faced a few
incidents of persecution in the fields. Since there
was a growing need to educate the missionaries
to handle persecutions and crisis situations, a
consultation programme on national level was
organized at Chennai in June 2007. Dr. Ebenezer
Sunderraj and Prof. Jayakumar of the CIM gave
legal insinuations.
E. RELIEF AND SOCIAL CONCERN
The life-transforming gospel of Jesus Christ
brings special meaning to suffering humanity. The
ministers of the gospel should be involved in work
related to Social Concern among the receptive
people groups and minister to the needs of the

whole person. A vibrant church will definitely
involve itself in social action.
Blessing Children Homes
Five Boys Homes in Alnavar (KA), Katni
(MP), Ramagiri, Chatrapur and Bargarh (OR),
Two girls Homes, one each in Umerkote (OR)
and Sitteri Hills (TN) are functioning.
Medical Relief
In the Jungle Clinic at Ramagiri, 2464 patients
were treated during 2006-07. Mrs. Martha
(Nurse) and Ms. Pushpalatha (Lab Technician)
are performing commendably. The clinics in Sitteri
Hills and Pungamaduvu (TN) offered treatment
for more than 6000 patients. Dental and general
Medical Camps were conducted in five places in
Bargarh District of Orissa through which 4981
patients were benefitted. 213 cataract patients
were operated and Intra Ocular Lens given.
Education
We have two Day Care Centres in Karnataka
and one in Tamilnadu. There is a Tribal School
and hostel in Sitteri Hills.
Vocational Training / Self Help Groups /
Drinking Water Project
Three Tailoring schools are being conducted,
two in Alnavar and Jamkhandi (KA) to benefit
17 downtrodden women and one in Shahgarh
(MP). Self Help Groups are functioning in 20
villages around Umerkote (OR). Drinking water
projects were taken up with the help of EFICOR
and 23 bore wells have been drilled in Ramagiri
area and by God’s grace all have become
successful. The target for the next year is another
50 bore wells.

Adult Literacy Programmes
Adult literacy programme is going on in 4
villages in Kadamba, Tobapadar, Dudumaguda
and Kumarguda (OR).
Identifying the starving people, distribution of
essential commodities, slum development work,
rebuilding collapsed houses, rehabilitation of poor
and the needy are some other areas taken care
of through the Feed Orissa Project in Bargarh
district (OR).
Thanks for the partnership organizations of
Blessing Youth Mission – Indienhilfe, EFICOR,
Compassion India and Bethel Agriculture
Fellowship.
Dr. M.Jaisanker, the Overseer of Social Con-
cerns and Relief and Mr. Thomas Livingstone,
the Organizer initiated and coordinated all the
social welfare activities under the able guidance
of Dr. Mrs. Lilian Stanley, a member of the
Advisory Panel.
HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
Workers are more important than work is an
important slogan of the Mission since its inception.
311 regular staff with the help of native workers
and service staff carried on the missionary endeavour
in 15 States under the leadership of 5 Regional
Coordinators and a Lady Staff Coordinator. Mr. Y.
Paul Dinakaran, the AC member—Staff Welfare
and Mr. E.L.Mathansingh, AC member—Human
Resources Management took necessary measures
to help the staff in every possible way. The Child
Sponsorship Department was ably handled by
Mrs. Lalitha J. Mathansingh amidst her set back
in health.
75 missionaries were promoted to higher
grades based on the evaluation and the years of
service. By the abundant grace of God, the
monthly allowances of the staff were paid in
advance on the first day of each month.
Staff Training
Through the Senate of Indian Institute of
Missiology, Trichy, the course Bachelor of
Missiology was launched out for 58 staff since
the ongoing education edifies, enlightens and
encourages the missionaries.

In August 2006, a month-long Workers’
Training Programme was conducted for the
missionaries who joined recently, to give an
orientation. 36 of our missionaries serving in 9
States were trained for the Kingdom work with
seasoned teachers and trainers. Besides these our
missionaries were regularly given spiritual insights
through the ‘Life Revision Seminar and Family
Enrichment Seminars conducted by the
Missionary Upholders Trust.
COORDINATION
The Executive Coordinator gave leadership to
all the ministerial activities. The five Regional
Coordinators, Lady Staff Coordinator and a few
selected members from different States and
departments constituted the Executive Committee
(EC), which met in every quarter of the year to
plan and review the various activities. The
Regional Lady Staff Counsellors and the Lady
Staff Leaders met twice during the year to
enhance the involvement of the lady missionaries.
The suggestions and proposals brought out by the
Executive Committee were referred to the
Administrative Committee (AC), which was
formulated by three senior full time missionaries
and three seasoned lay leaders. The Chairman,
the Vice Chairman—Administration and the
General Secretary joined this policy making body
as ex-officio members. The AC met four times
during the year. A few delicate and difficult
matters were referred to the Major Matters
Management (MMM) , led by the General
Overseer of the Mission, Mr. A. Lionel Paul. He
brought glory to God and honour to the Mission,
when he was awarded a Gold Medal and a cash
prize by the Government of Tamilnadu for his
meritorious service in the Electricity Board.
On behalf of the management and the
administration of the BYM let me sincerely thank
all those who helped, both in public and behind
the screen. The systematic and sacrificial labour
of love provided by the prayer warriors, sponsors
and the counsel of the leaders is a treasure to be
cherished. The dedicated team work of the
fulltime missionaries and native workers is a boon.
‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done
our duty’ (Lk 17:10b). Great is the Lord who led us

name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!
We acknowledge once again the love and
faithfulness of God in providing for His ministry
and for the welfare of His ministers throughout
this financial year. Let us join together to offer
our praise and thanks giving to Him as David
sang,
“I will praise You forever
for what You have done.”
(Psalm 52:9)
From the depth of our hearts, we sincerely
thank and appreciate each one who has
contributed sacrificially and liberally for this
noble cause of missionary work.
With the spirit of Christian accountability
towards God and men, we submit this Financial
Report for the year 2006-2007. The total
contribution we received during the financial
year was Rs. 4,40,90,551/- which is 11.09%
more than what we received during the last
financial year. Nearly 96.98% of the donations
were received from our Indian partners and
the rest from Non-Indians. Our God Jehovah
Jireh provided the finance to meet all the
expenditure of the Mission during this financial
year even with a surplus amount for the coming
month in advance as it was in the past.
Out of the total contribution received, the
major portion of 61.73% was spent for the
missionary work and support for missionaries
and 11.36% for the relief work. The
administrative expenses were kept to a
minimum of 8.81%. We acknowledge and
appreciate the tireless and sacrificial labour
of all our volunteers and partners. We pray
that God may reward according to His glorious
riches in Christ Jesus.

continuous improvement in our accounting
system. We are thankful to our leaders for their

Literature Centre, Chennai for their co-
operation and hard work in accounting and
keeping the records in order for the audit.
We thank all the senior leaders of our
Mission as they are delegating the res-
ponsibilities to the second liners. “Change is
inevitable and change is great when it is done
for the sake of the gospel.” There is a welcome
change in our work-culture and use of
technology. Yet, there is significant scope for
improvement. As the Lord blesses our efforts,
we are very careful that we need to be faithful
stewards of our Lord Jesus Christ with integrity
and transparency (1 Cor 4:1,2).
We now have to devote ourselves not
merely to enhance the financial support but to
go the extra mile and give ourselves to serve
our Lord with special consideration for the
unreached. We earnestly request you to
intensify your prayers and continue to support
so that we can stand firm and go forward with
the Vision of our Mission, to extend the
Kingdom of God in our Mother Land. Let us
join hands and carry out the Great Commission
of the Resurrected Lord Jesus Christ. God’s
work done in God’s way in God’s time will never
lack God’s support.

As the poet vividly depicts and we daily
experience, we cannot always sit loosely on
the saddle of life, for at times we

In such situations
man is deeply dep-

Due to ill health, poverty, loneliness, loss, ill
treatment, injustice, broken homes, harsh criticisms Creator
and so on, man is utterly broken and in misery
cries out bitterly, “My life is shattered and dashed the Creator would be a far superior brand new
to pieces, my heart is heavy and I am a broken
vessel.” Don’t we come across God’s men like
Moses, Elijah, and Jonah lamenting to the Lord
in distress?
In 1 Kings chapter 19 verse 4, Elijah, a
courageous prophet of the Lord who executed
four hundred and fifty prophets of Baal single
handed, hearing the threat of a woman, sitting
under a broom tree, wails like a coward, crying,
“It is enough. Now Lord take my life.” And
Jonah in chapter 4 verse 3 expressed his bitterness
saying, “It is better for me to die, than to live.”
Thus we find every individual under the sun
considering himself /herself a broken vessel unfit
to live, when the heart is rent with conflicting
emotions in pressing circumstances. How should
a broken vessel react in such situations? Shall
we delve deep into this topic?
In some parts of China and North India,
beautiful, highly expensive carpets or rugs are

made by a set of specially trained skilled men.
A master designer provides them the design
and the needed materials for the carpet and
they work in dim light under the supervision of
that master. Suppose something goes wrong with
their work they are instructed not to meddle
with it, for they will be simply making a mess
out of it. If they undo and remake it, it will be
heavy loss of cost, labour and time. So they
are directed to bring the carpet to the master
designer who in turn slightly alters the design
as well as the colours and continues the work.
In his deft hands the carpet becomes a superb
one because it is
wrought by the
master designer. This
is applicable to the
broken vessel which
should not try to find
a solution for its
problem, instead leave it in the hands of the

The Model Broken Vessel: Every believer
knows that Jesus Christ is the role model to be
followed in all walks of life. This model too
was broken just before crucifixion. He, the only

and the physical pain that awaited Him. He took

The Black Sheep of the family: He is
popularly known as the prodigal son who not
heeding the words of his father left him in rich
robes accompanied by friends and returned to
the father as a pauper in rags or a broken vessel.
On seeing him the father hastened to meet him,
embraced him and arranged a grand banquet
to celebrate his return. He was no more a broken
unwanted being but a beloved son and an honoured
guest. The father wrought a marvellous change
in this prodigal son because he repented and
returned to him. If an earthly father can bring
about such a marvellous change in his son's
life how much more would our Heavenly Father
do to us when we turn to Him in our sinful shattered
condition?
The Betrayer Peter: The following stanza
of a song vividly depicts the betrayal of Peter,
one of the intimate disciples of Jesus.
Simon the Lord had made him rock,
Who vowed to die for Him
Meanly denied he knew Him not,

Thus Peter denied and deserted Jesus when
He greatly needed the moral support of His
disciples. Soon Peter wept bitterly for his dreadful
deed which he knew would have hurt the core
of the heart of gentle Jesus. After that he was
transformed wonderfully to do powerful ministry
for Jesus Christ. He became a skilled tool in
his Master’s hands that he became a powerful
speaker and a miracle worker which made the
people raise their brows in amazement. In the
case of Jesus a woman who touched the hem
of His robe was completely free from her long
time suffering, but even the shadow of Peter
had the magical power to cure people from their
illness. Just imagine how the people of that time

would have been awestruck and astonished when
they saw the once mute follower of Jesus so
dramatically transformed and empowered to bring
crowds of fresh souls into the fold of our Lord!
The Business-minded Judas: He too was
utterly broken for betraying Jesus, his merciful
Master just for thirty pieces of silver. But instead
of turning to Jesus for forgiveness and renewal,
he sought his own instant idiotic solution, which
paved the way to eternal damnation. We come
across so many such teenagers today who when
caught in problems, instead of turning to the
Lord, take drastic steps like Judas. So let the
broken vessels learn their lesson from the above
mentioned characters.
To wind up, let us turn our attention to an
incident that happened in the life of Michael
Faraday, the famous scientist. One day his servant
brought him a drink in a silver vessel and
accidentally dropped it into a large vessel of
acid. It was a great surprise and shock to the
servant when the vessel melted into nothingness.
The scientist added a solution into the acid and
soon a lump of solid silver appeared in the acid.
Faraday took the silver and handed it over to a
silver smith to make a new vessel. In a couple
of days the man brought a brand new silver
vessel. If a mortal made of clay could make a
beautiful vessel out of a vessel which melted
into nothingness would not our immortal Master
Designer recreate a broken vessel in a far superior
manner? U

 Climb Every Mountain!
Palamalai is a hill station located near
Mettur Dam in Salem District. The elevation is
approximately 2500 feet. There are about 14 major
villages and about 6000 people live there. There
is no road to go up. No other organisation is
working there and there is not a single church
up there. Our Mettur partners expressed their
desire to do missionary work there to brother
Santhakumar and the ball started to roll.
In the May of 2005 a 12 member team went
to survey the hill. “If the Lord is pleased with us
He will lead us into the land” was the Word, the
Lord gave the team on that day (Num 14:8). The
people were in desperate need of medical help.
The sick people and pregnant women with
complications had to be brought down the steep
hills over rocks and zig-zag slopes that took 3 hours
and then 20 km to the nearest town. Many died
on the way.
Our missionaries, Jeyakumar and Jancy with
their two small children were posted there. In the
past two years 12 deliveries were conducted by
Jancy and 4000 treated for various ailments. Many
teams visited the hills for medical camps and
evangelism.
15-20 gather for prayer now. The children
attend Sunday School and eagerly learn Bible
stories and songs. VBS was conducted for 50
children this year.
The need for our own building could not be
postponed. One partner who visited Palamalai
helped us purchase 92 cents of land. A three room
building was put up. One room was for medical
work, one a multipurpose hall and the third, the
missionary residence. The dedication was planned
for the first of September. 250 partners from all
over Tamilnadu climbed up the steep path for 3
hours by foot to reach the place. The dedication
service was a glorious event. The participants gave
an offering of Rs. 48,000/- and five sewing
machines. Every lip was glorifying God as the
partners descended down the hills, full of
missionary zeal. The newspapers Dhinakaran
and Tamil Murasu published the news.
We propose to teach tailoring to the youth and
start a Day Care Centre for children.

 Penetrate Every Jungle!
Katur ministry was pioneered by Mrs & Mr.
Christmas David in March 2000. They are
senior missionaries of the Blessing Youth
Mission, and have completed 23 years of
service. Even from the beginning, they had an
unusual burden for the Gowli tribal people. In
order to reach this unprivileged people group,
Katur was marked as a strategic place, because
it was surrounded by 12 Gowli villages. Katur
is situated in Karwar district of Karnataka. This
small village consists of several people groups
named Lingayat, Kuruba, Vaddor, Fishermen,
and Schedule caste. Thus far 40 people have
accepted the Lordship of Christ. Among them
10 are Gowlis and others are multi-ethnic.
We purchased a 100’x50’ plot for rupees one
lakh in September 2006. But a sudden wave of
persecution brought everything to a grinding
halt.
Mr. Jose Robin and family from Marthandam
(Tamilnadu) desired to sponsor the church
construction. We were overjoyed.
Anti social elements were very particular that
Christian workers not do any work in and around
the villages. In that critical situation, Mr. Erranna,
panchayat chairman of BJP was an eminent help.
He is a family friend to Mr. Christmas David and
he stood with our missionary in every problem.
Brothers Chandreshekar Shiggaum, Regunathan,
Chandrashekar Sadamal, and Mohanakrishnan
were a great help in this construction work.
The total expenditure was Rs.5,50,000/-. We
extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who
helped, and we pray that the Lord may richly
reward and repay them.
Around 500 people participated in the
dedication program. All the chief men of the
village from various political back ground
participated and graced the occasion. The
sponsor and some of our partners from
Tamilnadu joined the occasion and gladdened
our hearts.
We covet your prayers for the work to be
done and for the perishing souls to be added
into the church for the glory of the Lord.

The Blessing Youth Mission has stationed
311 missionaries in 15 States of India, namely
Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Delhi,
Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya
Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa, Rajasthan, Tamil-
nadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal, for reviving
churches and missionary evangelism leading to
church plantation in churchless places. The news
of various fields is compiled here for PRAISE and
PRAYER.
ASSAM
¨ By the Grace of God we conducted our Annual
Youth Camp, Halo 2007 in the town Sibsagar
from 26-29 July. This year the camp was hosted
by Sibsagar Central Baptist Church. We expected
about 150 participants but approximately 250 youth
attended this camp. Mr. Victor P. S. Kumar our
Youth Leader from Delhi, missionries Rose and
Monica Allen from Rajasthan were the main
speakers.
¨ Missionary J. Gnanapragasam shared the
message in the Central Baptist Church’s Sunday
service on the subject of Successful Christian
Life. Approximately 350 people attended the
Sunday Service.
¨ Systematic Bible Study is being conducted in
Guwahati on the subject of Unlocking the New
Testament.
¨ On 5th August the Ladies Team consisting of
Mrs. Ruby Gnanapragasam, Mrs. Joy Josiah, Mrs.
Bin Mazurka and Miss Esther visited 60 patients
in the Cancer Hospital and shared the Gospel with
them. Mrs. Ruby Gnanapragasam has formed
another team who would regularly visit Striberi
Baptist Mission Hospital once a month. Please
pray for these Ladies teams.
¨ The missionaries who are working in the
Northeast are, Mr. V. Chelliah, Mrs. Regina
Chelliah, Mr. J. G. Prakash, Mrs. Ruby Prakash,
Mr. P. Chezhian, Mrs. Prema Chezhian, Mr. Leence
Joel, Mrs. Dolly Joel, Mr. Mariaraj and Mr.
Sylvester.
¨ Missionary Gnanapragasam underwent
surgery for gall stones.

ANDHRA PRADESH
¨ Praise God for the new opening in the
Centenary Baptist Church and Bethel Church at
Warangal where Bro. Mathansingh and Lalitha
Mathansingh ministered on 23 September
respectively. People got challenge to involve in
missionary work.
¨ Praise God for the Lady Staff Fasting Prayers
at Vijayawada on the 13-14 of August. The Word
of God ministered by Mrs.Premalatha Chezhian
and Mrs. Christy Durairaj of Kakinada refreshed
the lady staff.
¨ The Warangal missionaries ministered the Word
of God in the one day Youth Retreat on the 15th
of August, at the Banjara Baptist Church. 45
youth were challenged by the Word of God.
¨ Mrs. and Mr. John Thomas dedicated their own
house ESHCOL on 18 July at Vizianagaram.
Praise God.
¨ Deevena Editorial Committee Meet was
conducted at Warangal, on 11 August. Praise God.
¨ Deevena Magazine is ready for publishing,
printing and posting from Warangal. Pray for the
Lord’s guidance.
CHHATTISGARH
¨ Mr. R. Elisha preached in the Youth Meeting
at Rayagada, Orissa where 105 youth gathered
and were benefited.
¨ Mr. Prince from Chennai, our partner visited
Chhattisgarh, preached in the Blessing prayer cell
at Raipur and witnessed in the Sunday service of
a big Church here.
GUJARAT
¨ Nadiad Student Team visited Mitral village and
conducted a gospel meeting. 15 villagers
responded. Our missionary Mr. Kailash Mane led
the team.
¨ A combined Native Workers Training
Programme for both the Rajasthan and Gujarat

Staff, involved in Church Planting ministry was
conducted at Banswara on 2-4 August. All the
workers were encouraged and equipped. They
fixed targets and decided to win many souls.
¨ Mr. V. Ponnuswamy and team visited Amreli
and Rajpipla fields and encouraged our native
workers. In the Movi village gospel meeting eight
youth accepted Jesus Christ as their personal
Saviour.
¨ An one day meeting was conducted in The
Salvation Army Church. Mr. Robin Sam and Mr.
Jeyakumar shared the Word of God. 150 attended.
Most of the participants responded to the call for
the commitment prayer and decided to live a
victorious life for Jesus. Pray for follow up meetings.
¨ Mr. Robin Sam shared the Word of God in the
Leemi village church, Surat District.
¨ Vadodara missionary Mr. Shadrach shared the
Word of God in the Sunday service at the CNI
Church in Surat.
JHARKHAND
¨ 34 New Testaments were distributed during this
month out of which 21 were given to the AIDs
patients. May the Lord comfort them and save
them by doing unusual miracles in their lives.
¨ Dr. Ruby Lakra our pledge partner who was
seriously ill, survived by His grace after prayer.
Pray for good strength.
¨ Rahul our pledge partner got a new job and is
engaged to Hemlata of Jamshedpur.
¨ God’s Word was shared to 86 persons in
Kushinagar, Jhilnagar, Anandpuri, Korah and
Patratu area. People were encouraged in the Lord.
¨ In Reen’s parent’s house more than twenty
people participate regularly in the prayer meeting
and they are growing in the Lord.
¨ Paras, a student contact was terrorized by evil
powers but was delivered from them through
prayer.
¨ Ajay for job in HEC, Amit for lecturership,
Sabita for lecturership; Monica for Ph.D.
admission.
¨ For God’s guidance and favour from local
leaders for the proposed Literature Drive Prog-
ramme from 7-14 October in Ranchi.

KARNATAKA
¨ The three day fasting prayer at Yellapur was
well attended, even in the midst of a heavy
downpour. The participants were refreshed.
¨ Missionaries have decided to have fasting
prayer on the first of every month at Yellapur and
at Mainalli. These fasting prayers are exclusively
to bring revival among churches. Pray for revival
showers.
¨ The Family Retreat at City Church was blessed.
Mrs. and Mr. Manivannan shared. Around 100
participated, and testified that the sessions were
very practical and useful. Praise the Lord!
¨ Thirteen young boys wrote the examination on
the Gospel according to Matthew. Praise the Lord!
¨ August 15 was celebrated as Youth Talent Day,
in which 57 youth participated. They enthusiasti-
cally participated in Dance, Singing, Skit, Mono
acting etc. Bro.Ramanathan from Yellapur
challenged them for holy living.
¨ Our youth girls recently determined to visit
Vidhyanagar every Saturday to reach out to
young girls.
¨ Pray for Renuka and Godavari to be delivered
from demon possession.
¨ The Sunday School started at Kanpet is growing
with 40 children. Pray for the children’s salvation.
¨ Youth meeting has been started for girls and
eight young girls attend it. Pray for their spiritual
upliftment.
¨ Savakka, who was about 12 years in the
clutches of an evil spirit, got miraculously delivered
after prayer. Pray for her salvation.
¨ Kodambi believers are facing severe opposition
for their faith in Christ.
MADHYA PRADESH
¨ A new village, Dalpatpur has been visited.
This village is an important centre for villages
around and also situated in the main road. Kindly
pray that God may bless the efforts that are taken
so that the Good News may spread to the
neighbouring villages.

¨ Praise God for His enablement that we could
commence a Tailoring School in Ashish Bhavan,
Shahgarh. The inaugural function was held on 3rd
August. The Chief Medical Officer of Shahgarh
Block presided over the programme as our Chief
Guest. Native workers along with local leaders
inclusive, altogether about 60 participated in the
programme. Seven Sewing Machines were
lovingly donated by Dr. Mrs. Elizabeth Joseph in
kind memory of her beloved late husband Dr. V.
Joseph—who had got this inspiration during his
visit to Shahgarh field a few years ago. May the
Lord bless this dear family and the Tailoring
School that the poor may be benefitted.
¨ Praise God that the 2nd Semester of B.Miss
course has been successfully completed at
Blessing Centre, Jabalpur in August. By the grace
of God 16 missionaries could attend the seminar
from Northern Region. Kindly pray that the
missionaries may be highly benefitted through this
programme.
¨ Mr. George Allemby and Mrs. Smita Allemby
are moving from Jabalpur to Sagar.
¨ Kindly pray for the forth coming BLESSO 2007
at Indore to be held in October.
¨ As a result of accepting Christ Mr. Ghansiram
settled his loan of Rs.70,000/- by selling a portion
of his land. May the Lord raise such people for
His glory.
MAHARASHTRA
¨ The Warden and the 27 girls at the Gargoti Girls
hostel show much interest after the Bible Quiz
conducted by our staff there.
¨ Prof. Shinde and his wife joined the Vaduj
congregation for a one-day Family Retreat and
shared the message on 26 August. Eight couples
and 35 singles attended the meeting.
¨ Hanumanth Jadhav of Vaduj threatened our
staff when they went to his area to pray for the
people. Now he faced some problem and started
coming to our worship service for deliverance.
¨ Sinduthai Kholi our believer in Jath saw seven
snakes in her house. Because it was Nagpanchami
festival no one came forward to kill the snakes.

So she brought the snake-charmer and he could
catch only five of them and the other snakes
escaped.
¨ There is a good opening at Valaikindi village.
Earlier, two buffalos were healed after our staff
prayed and again one more buffalo was healed in
Tonewadi village. Now the people over there show
interest in the gospel.
¨ At Umarani Mali Vasti 15 new contacts are
attending our prayer meeting after an ox got healed
after prayer.
¨ Sunil of Bandewadi near Gargoti brought back
the idols that were removed by his parents and is
forcing them to worship them.
¨ Anil Varke of Kalnacwadi near Gargoti is
beating his father and mother who obeyed God’s
Word and hindering them for their faith in Jesus.
ORISSA
¨ 12 souls were added to the church.
¨ Kamala of Kutrickhhaper got healed from
Asthma through prayer.
¨ The Poojaribarandi Church was completed and
dedicated. Thanks to Dr. Jayakumar Mohan, Jaya
Hospital, Kulasekharam, Tamilnadu, for sponsoring
the construction of the church.
¨ Kindly pray for the bereaved family of Mr.
Mangudu of Balipeta who had his Home Call.
¨ The boy Peter of Kurtrichhaper is loosing his
eye sight. Please pray.
¨ Mr. Bhagirathi and his wife are facing severe
persecution at the village Motibondiguda. Please
pray.

¨ Our native worker Mr. Nirmal Jai is under
treatment for Typhoid. Please pray.
¨ Please pray that the Lord may help us to start
a Day Care Centre at Cherka, Tarlakota, Chanda-
handi and Balasing.
¨ Topajodi worship shed construction work to be
started.
RAJASTHAN
¨ 15 partners of our Mission gather regularly for
Bible study at Mansarovar area of Jaipur.
Missionary Rose Allen conducts the study.
¨ God used our City Coordinator of Jaipur, Mr.
Hywan Singh, in our Believers retreat at Singhana.
He delivered God’s Word forthrightly and all
were blessed.
¨ In Calotada village Suseela was stopped from
attending our prayer meetings by her son. When
our missionaries prayed with fasting the result was
that Suseela and her son together attend now.
Suseela’s younger brother who was a drunkard
was delivered. Praise God!
¨ Our believer Nirmala delivered a male baby by
normal delivery, even though the doctors said it
would be a complicated delivery. But our prayer
answering God made it possible.
¨ In Srimadhopur our believers are coming up in
the Lord. Navarang our believer is growing in the
Lord. Now daily family prayer is started in his
family. Manoj & Virender are gathering for
everyday prayer at our voluntary worker Tara-
chand’s house. Praise God.
¨ Two new students joined the Youth Prayer Cell
at Anand Nagar, Ajmer. Student Anon Das is
appointed as leader for this cell. Praise God that
God moved the hearts of the parents of these
prayer cell students and they decided to gather
for prayer.
¨ Mrs. Mani and Mrs. R. B. Singh prayed for
Mr. Gopal who was sick and possessed by evil
spirits.  As an answer to prayer, Mr. Gopal
experienced divine deliverance and this family
heard the Good news at Banswara.

TAMILNADU
¨ Mr. C. Subramanian, father of Mrs. Kavitha
Ephraim had his Home Call at the age of 75 in
Aranthangi. Pray for the breaved family.
¨ Our partner Mr. Wesley Arul died unexpectedly
at the age of 36 in Thanjavur.
¨ 500 participated in the Faith Life Camp in
Anandapuram. The messages were on holiness,
ministry and family. Mrs. Ruth Manivannan
presented the true story of one of our Siddi
missionary, Subanand. People were moved and
35 committed to serve the Lord fulltime.
WEST BENGAL
¨ Missionaries Sylvester John and Mrs. Jeba
Stella Mariaraj to learn the Bengali language to
do the ministry among the Bengalese effectively.
¨ The newly started SFJ prayer cell in NJP
Railway colony to grow spiritually. The Lord to
give wisdom to Bro. Sylvester John to build them
up spiritually.
¨ The newly formed Bless Bengal Prayer
Fellowship in six Districts in West Bengal may
function regularly. Col. H.K.Ghissing our West
Bengal Prayer Coordinator has taken up the
responsibilities to coordinate these prayer cells.
¨ Mrs. Ruby Gnanapragasam was invited as guest
speaker for the Women’s Fasting Prayer which
was on 18-19 August at Siliguri. Mrs. Regina
Chelliah also shared the Word of God. Both Mrs.
Regina and Mrs. Ruby led the Prayer and Inter-
cession. 25 ladies from all the denominations of
Siliguri town attended this fasting prayer.
¨ 50 well wishers in and around Siliguri attended
the Fifth Anniversary Thanksgiving Meeting held
in August. Col. H. K. Ghissing (Our West Bengal
State Representative) ministered the Word and
explained about BYM and motivated the
participants to pray.
¨ About 180 youth attended the one day Youth
Retreat held on 15 August in Telugu Baptist
Church, Kharagpur. Our District Coordinator Bro.
Pradeep Kumar Nath organized this Retreat. The
youth were challenged for holy living. U
