The Importance of the English language.

Nowadays, Globalization has marked the interaction

among people and in terms of getting at pace with this
phenomenon the learning of English is a requisite of high
importance. Due to the increasing numbers of speakers in
the whole world, thanks to globalization, English has
become the language mostly use by people from different
countries to express their social or political ideas, to begin
commercial relationships, or just simply acquire new
friends. English is no longer the exclusive language of
England and the Unit States; nowadays, it is a language that belongs to the world’s people.

The total amount of people speaking it as an official language has reached to a number of 300
million people, with a quantity similar to it for those who speak it as a second language;
without counting the number of people who use it as commercial language in trade, press, and
communication around the globe.

There are several reasons to declare English a language of high importance; among them we
have the following:
  English, as it has been said before, is the language used by people to establish business
relations all over the world.
 Most of the updated books with information in different areas of the education field
are printed originally in English. So new and fresh developments are faster to get when
you master the English language.
 As a tool for getting new and better paid jobs, English has become the number one
language in different fields such as big conglomerates positions, tourism, and mass
media.

The influence of English in the world is getting bigger due to the vast influence movies,
television, and Internet has around the world.

But if these aren’t enough reasons for you to learn English, just think at the door you
are opening to a new and fascinating culture of the world.

OPINION
The English language is a subject of great importance within the conversation surrounding

globalization. This is because English is used as a Lingua Franca by millions of people all over

the world. English is used to overcome language barriers and to be able to express ideas or

thoughts in the political, economic, social and cultural field. Much of the information relevant

to society (content in books, films and even on the Internet) is written in English, this helps

justify its influence and importance in the globalization process. It can also be said that the

great media that exerts its influence on society uses the English language as form of

communication. At the same time, this language is essential to develop any type of

commercial relationship anywhere in the world. Moreover, mastering this language opens

doors to better job opportunities.
