TRAINING SCHEDULE
DATE VENUE
He is one of the main proponents for the development of BERDE – the National
Green Building Rating System. A recipient of the Australian Leadership Awards Fellowship,
he cooperated and worked with representatives from national Green Building Councils from
the Asia-Pacific region to develop local green building rating schemes. This activity was
held under the auspices of the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC) and the Green
Building Council of Australia (GBCA).
He has worked independently with public and private organizations that promote
appropriate sustainable practices and strategies to urban and rural settings. His technical
expertise includes design, evaluation and project management of environmental
management projects. He has also conducted site assessments, evaluations and design
preparation for the establishment of solid waste management facilities at the provincial, city,
municipal and barangay levels in several regions in the Philippines. He has developed and
delivered training sessions on environmental management and sustainable building for
several organizations.

Ms. Rowena C. Ramos is a registered and licensed architect, and a Certified BERDE
Professional. She is currently the President and Principal for the Architecture and
Sustainability Practice of Ecotektonika, Inc. She led their team in the successful delivery of
Ecologically Sustainable Design (ESD) and the BERDE Certification for the Laguna Lake
Development Authority Building, a BERDE 3-Star green building project under BERDE
GBRS – New Construction – V1.0.0.
Since 2017, she has been serving as the Chair of the BERDE Committee—leading
the review and approval of policies, documents and tools for the development, certification
and education areas of the BERDE Program. She led the Committee during the
development of BERDE V2.0.0.
Since 2013, she has been serving as a member of the PHILGBC Board of Trustees,
initially representing the Individual, Academe and Civil Society member group, and now
representing the Building Professionals and Service Provider as the President of
Ecotektonika, Inc. She is one of the founding members of the PHILGBC, and was a Fellow
for the Asia-Pacific Green Building Leadership Program of the Australian Leadership Awards
Fellowship (ALAF) in 2009.
With 18 years of diverse practice in design and planning, project coordination and
management, she is carving a niche for Ecotektonika, Inc. in the sustainability practice and
BERDE management.
Arch. Gabriel Ma. Angelo B. Cascante is a registered and licensed architect, and a
Certified BERDE Professional. He is currently the Director and Project Manager | BERDE
Manager at Ecotektonika, Inc. He has extensive construction management experience with
advanced knowledge of the BERDE rating and certification process. Working closely with
clients, co-consultants, architects, engineers, construction personnel, and stakeholders in
diverse projects, his current position enables him to share his competence in optimizing
project delivery for Ecologically Sustainable Design (ESD) Consultancy Services.
Mr. Mario Lawrence C. Suelto is the Technical Coordinator for the Philippine Green
Building Council (PHILGBC). He handles related green building research, program
development, and coordination of legislative actions with the national and local governments
for the PHILGBC. His primary role is the supervision of the development, certification, and
education activities for the BERDE Program Secretariat.
Since 2010, he has been part of the technical team of the PHILGBC National
Secretariat, and has been involved in the development and implementation of the programs
and activities of the Council. He has been involved in the management, facilitation, and
documentation of various dialogues, workshops, and conferences with both the private and
public sectors in the promotion of green building and the continuous development of the
BERDE Green Building Rating System.

3. Please arrive early. To effectively facilitate the training schedule, please arrive
before 8:00 AM. Registration will open by 7:30 AM. The training will start strictly at
8:00 AM.
4. A substitute or proxy is not allowed to take the course or examination. You will
be disqualified in taking the BERDE Professionals Qualifying Examination if you do
not successfully complete the training course.
5. Meals will be served at the training venue. Kindly advise us if you have any
dietary restrictions (food allergies, vegetarian, or any religious dietary restrictions).
Please advise us prior to the starting date of the training so arrangements may be
made.
You will be charged with corkage fees if you bring food and beverages from outside
the hotel.
6. Training Certificates will be issued at the end of Day 2. You will be provided with
a Training Certificate once you successfully complete the training.
