Flexi packet First mile 200 series Ethernet L3 switch is a low-cost, stackable, managed 24-port
switch with 10/100 /1000 autosensing per port and 2 open transceiver slots for Gigabit or 100Base-FX. The
Flexi packet First mile offer Auto-MDIX on all 10/100 and100/1000 ports and high availability features.
They are ideal for low-cost migration to 10/100 managed switching with uplinks.

Project Details #1 DCE- QA Testing

Model: - Flexi packet First mile 200

Testing Type - OSPF, VRRP, L2/L3 Regression Testing
Roles and Responsibilities:

 Developed Test Cases and Test Procedures based on Test plan requirements and functional
specification and execute the same, Update the actual test logs in Test expert, the current test
plan covers all L2 features.

 Designed and deployed the network test topologies for the required feature testing.
 Knowledge in Feature Regression testing,CLI/Boundary Soak testing and System testing
 Raising bugs found in manual testing/ regression testing and verifying bugs for various releases on
different NOS releases
 Update the actual test logs in Test expert/QC and the current test plan covers all L2and l3
features
 Setting up Test bed for running the regression scripts for the above mention features with
different Topologies.
 Raising bug with all information about the failure and providing support to the DE till the defect is
fixed.
 Defect tracking, report generation of the defects filled. Interacting with Client & attending
weekly review meetings.

Testing Type - xSTP Functional Testing

Roles and Responsibilities:

 Wrote test plan and test procedure based on Functional specification of L2 features
(STP,RSTP,VLAN,ARP)
 Executed all the test cases in switch and updated test results
 Wrote a Test Spec and given to automation team for scripting L2 feature
 Filed a DEFECT for the issues and verified the testing defects
 Incorporated all review comment in the test plan
 Conducted a test plan review meeting with internal and external team
 Updating the results on the TIMS on daily basis for the test case executed.
 Knowledge on CLI and boundary testing of the product to ensure the quality.

Roles and Responsibilities:

 Regression testing on various L2 and L3 features in various NOS releases of Flexi packet First mile
200 series Ethernet switch Switches.

 Wrote test plan and test procedure based on Functional specification of SNMP.

 Prepared a test topology for SNMP manual testing and Regression testing.

 Verified the L2 MIB’s with SNMP operation on embedded switch with the supported traps.

 Interacting with Client about the project updates, field bugs and fixing the regression script
issues.
