Sliced Ring

In this tutorial we will try out some of the most useful com-
mands in RhinoGold. Powerful tools as Ring Wizard, Polyline,
Auto Cut and Variable Fillet.

Ring Wizard Polyline

1 2 Now, in the front view, we can create a curve as

Dynamic Polar Array Rotate

3 Then, in the Transform tab, with the Dynamic Polar
Array tool to define the polyline duplication para-
meters, in this case with a 180º angle to fill and 10 ele-
ments.
4 Now, under the Transform tab with the Rotate tool
we can replace the curves as the above image.
Just need to select the curves and and define the rota-
tion from the center.

 Auto Cut
5 Now, under the Modelling tab with the Auto Cut
tool we can remove the interior of the polyline sec-
tions as the above image. Just need to select the curves
and the ring.
Variable Fillet
6 The last step, with the Variable Fillet tool under the
Modelling tab to break Sharp edges as the above
image, in this case with 0,4mm fillet angle.
