Job Responsibility of a Sewing Line Supervisor

DEPARTMENT: PRODUCTION

Designation : Line Supervisor (Sewing).

Section : Sewing.

Report to : Sewing In Charge.

Immediate subordinate : Sewing operator.

Job Summary : Supervise the individual line of sewing section.

What is the Job Responsibility of a Sewing Line Supervisor

Duties and responsibilities:

1. To check sample and line layout to advice line leader and operators how to make garments
products.

2. To receive cutting parts from cutting section and make input in sewing line style wise.

3. To receive accessories from store by requisition as per quantity.

4. To check garments by measurements.

5. To assist line leader operators to overcome any problem.

6. To report production quantity and maintain register as per format.

7. To check whether the target is achieved.

8. Any other job assigned by the management from time to time.

(1) Brings the cut fabric from cutting section.

(2) Brings accessories from the store.

(3) Makes the garment ready for shipment.

(4) Keeps hourly document for production.

(5) Follows the instruction given by the P.M.

(6) Maintains the discipline.

1) He gives instructions to the operators to clean machines properly.

2) He follows the orders given by the Production Manager.

3) He brings cut fabric from the cutting section and accessories from the store.

4) He supplies the fabric and accessories to his line for production.

5) He prepares the whole garment in his line.

6) He controls line No. 2.

7) He looks after the welfare of the persons working under him.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Department: Production

Job Title: Line Supervisor (Sewing).

Report to: Sewing In Charge.

Educational Qualification H.S.C (Minimum).

Experience 3-5 Years at least.

Training (if needed) N/A

Capability: 1. Capable to supervise, guide, control and motivate the workers.

2. Capable to determine the sewing problem.

3. Line wise out put knowledge.

4. Out put register maintaining Knowledge.

Other Skill : 1. Good Communication Skill.
