So first I would like to introduce myself in connection with God. Straight to the point. I’m not really a religious person, and what I mean by that is that I’m not a church person, pray consistently. Read the bible, perform any Christian activities or bible studies. I’m nor proud of this conception or positive about it, because I’m sure for the fact that being in great connection with god doesn’t come simply by religious measures but by faith. Yes, I am not religious, but I am faithful. And that is the most important thing. As par the cosmological theory, Design Theory and Moral theory(if I remember them correctly) actually the Design Theory is what I liked the most, it just always got me thinking that how the world works, how the universe works, the cycle of life, the oxygen the carbon dioxide the cell processes, as a scientific one it just got me curiously asking “It is just so perfect, there must be a designer”. As par the cosmological theory, in the 3 theories this theory just doesn’t make sense for me (only on my opinion) because it destroys the statement that “anything that exist has a cause” so if god exist? —he should have a cause. Now pro cosmological theorist would argue and say that there should be a starting point and that starting point doesn’t need a cause or an absolute eternality vice versa the absolute beginning. But since they argue that eternality exists because of god then therefore the eternality or absolute eternality that they mentioned even had a cause which is god. Besides if starting point are made without a cause, it doesn’t make sense also cause even a starting point in a race track has a cause which is built by probably Olympics employees. One more major flow is that if they would say god is an exemption to the rule of “anything that exist has a cause” means that god is not anything or thing which is actually I think does make sense in a morally and in ethical percept but if god is not anything or thing wouldn’t that make him nothing? Nothing which is “doesn’t exist or absence of existence? Because in a report of our classmate she said that the absence of something or thing is nothing. Then if god is the absence of something that exist and if the rule of philosophers would be applied that it requires input to have an output then therefore god is an output that does not require an input which doesn’t also make sense. And would also destroy the philosopher theory that an output requires an input. So, in short, the cosmological theory in my own opinion is flawed. To close my essay, I am glad that this workshop was done in university of Makati as it is not a usual thing that happens it served as an eye opener not only to me but for my classmates as well. It gave me time to think about things aside from our stressful academics I enjoyed the workshop it made me learn new things and how other’s see God for themselves the theories they believed in and hopefully more activities like this be done as a brake from the stressful and tiring things that we do and take time to think of other important matters as well, that’s all thank you!
