1.0 INTRODUCTION

In Malaysia road is one of the important aspects in transportation sector. Road

accident is one of the major causes of death and injuries in Malaysia. Road accidents are very
common in Malaysia. Everyday we read newspaper we also can saw much news about there
are many peoples involved in the road accidents. Lack of attention, reckless driving, lack of
proper protection, speeding, bad personal habits, social and behavioral misconduct and
inconsiderate drivers of larger vehicles are some of the problems that cause.

2.0 CAUSES OF ROAD ACCIDENT AT MALAYSIA

The behavior of driver using hand phone while driving vehicles cause road
accident. Mobile phone now is very advanced in technologies even can watch television
programs by online, chatting, play games and many more get road accident.

The drunk driving also happen road accident. The person who drunken high
alcohol and drive the car get high risk to involve in road accident easily. Because after drunk
too much the driver will be lose the control and anything happen there do not realize what
will be happening around them.

Third cause of road accident is road conditions. Like Oily and hole on the road
conditions will cause road accidents. This is because if the road is oily we will easily lose of
control when driving. This is because the tires cannot move in a normal condition when face
the oil on the road and will get in drift. Hole on the road also will cause road accident by
motorcycle riders because at night motorbike is less of brightness and easily get accident
when the tires cross the road hole.

3.0 TIPS TO PREVENT ROAD ACCIDENT

There are some solutions to reduce the number of road accidents at Malaysia.
First is government must provide road maintenance such as patching the hole and clean the
oily on the road to ensure the road is safety to use.

Second is try to avoid using mobile phone sending short message services, chatting or
playing games. Anything emergency call or reply chat better park car and answer the call also
can use hand free to answer the emergency calls.

The third matter we need to do prevention is not involved in drunk driving. Drunk
driving is very dangerous we need to remember that there is always some loving person in our
life waiting for us to go back home with safety.

4.0 CONCLUSION

As a conclusion the main cause of road accident in Malaysia is cause of driver

behavior. Road accident in Malaysia is increasing every year and is dangerous to all people.
In this situation all people must realize and give more attention to decrease the rate of road
accident. There is no people are wishing to involve in a road accident, it is really a tragedy it
make lot of people loss of their family member. Besie that, all Malaysian should be
cooperating to reduce the number of road accident. Remember that our family member is
always worried about us and carried about us always waiting for us. As a Malaysian we
responsibility to use solution to prevent the road accident and to ensure life with happy
family.
