The institutions, which were awarded include 1) Gurvinder Singh
Bahara (Rayat & Bahra Group), Dr. Zora Singh (Desh Bhagat
Group), C.A Mamohan Garg (Gurukul Vidyapeeth), S.J.S.Bedi
(Gian Jyoti Group), and Mr. Dharinder Tayal (Anovus Institute of
Clinical Research). S.Navjot Singh Sidhu, Hon'ble Members of
Parliament gave away the awards. Dr. Anshu Kataria, conducted
the award ceremony.
On this occasion the Chairman of UBS and President Baddi,
Barootiwala and Nalagarh Association Mr. Arun Rawat also made
their presentation on Skills Development. They said that if the country
has to be brought amongst developed nations, the youth has to be
prepared with right education and skills.
Dr. Dinesh Gupta said that in a survey done by Goldman it came out
that team work is the most desired skill which is required in the youth
followed by problem solving and interpersonal skills.

Emerging Trends in I.T. Skills'

Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home, Government of India and
former M.D of Punjab Infotech Ltd. here while speaking on
the occasion of 'Dr. S.P.Singh Memorial Lecture' on
Emerging Trends in information technology organised by
Chandigarh Management Association (CMA) at Bhartiya
Vidhya Bhavan.
Dr. Kalsi cautioned the young IT professional attending the
session that one has to be very careful what you express on
social networking sites since your views remain on the
servers and you can be confronted with them in future.

Seminar on “Outlook for the Global Economy


over the Next Decade”

Ms. Clare Moonan
Chandigarh Management Association (CMA) organised a
seminar on 'Outlook for the Global Economy over the Next
Decade here today. The key speaker Ms. Clare Moonan of
International Business, Sheffield Hallam University, UK,
said 'Common Wealth Games have put India in the
spotlight on the Global stage' and that India could bear the
impact of worst ever global recession has surprised many
world leaders.
She said that global recession has probably ended and the
economy is still on the recovery path, however, she added
that sustainability of the complete recovery could be fragile.
While talking about Europe, Moonan said that to sustain the
economic recovery in Europe, the EU must 'think European'
and operate within the European market places.
While talking about US Economy she said that President
Obama's fiscal policies have worked some what but
creation of more jobs continues to bother US. She said
many economic organisations have predicted that US
Economy will grow at 2.4%, against UK 0.6% in the next
decade and India's GDP will grow on an average 6.3% due
to strong domestic market and less reliance on imports,
however, increasing fiscal deficit will remain a worry.
Others who spoke on the occasion included Dr. Gulshan A view of the distinguished CMA members
