Unit: Leaders of Tomorrow

Audience: 8th Grade Students

Student will learn about the fundamentals of business management and develop skills that
will assist them in declaring a business. They will demonstrate how to keep their business
successful through a number of instructional goals. Ultimately, this Unit should prepare
students for the real world of business.

conversation to try and help find what interests
them enough to feel satisfied with their new
business.

examining random advertisements. I will ask
them to state what they think the purpose of
the advertisement is (other than to reach its

why (what about the advertisement) they think
that is the purpose. Afterwards, students will
be asked to do the same type of analysis but on
today’s market. They will be asked to write a
report on their findings and explain what these
findings mean (either good or bad) and explain
why they think the market for their business is
good or bad.
