INTRODUCTION

The French philosopher Teilhard de Chardin once said, “We are not human beings
having a spiritual experience, we are spiritual beings having a human experience.”

Spirituality has influenced the existence of human beings ever since the ancient
civilizations. Spirituality has significant effect on day to day life of people.
Modernization has brought in latest technology and techniques into human life, but it is
important to know that in the midst of all these developments and transformation,
spirituality has its own role to play. External luxuries, comforts provide momentary or
short term external satisfaction to people. Human wants are fulfilled one after the other,
but the need for peace, contentment, composure and balanced existence is increasing.
Periodically efforts are made to fulfill this, but when it is peace and happiness and other
aspects, it is the influence from within that result in all these transformation and change.
Systematic approach is essential in spirituality to meet these ends.

Workplace is becoming stressful due to the fast phase of the growth and dynamism in the
international level. Local institutions started competing with the international giants, the
frame work in which they were functioning earlier changed to suit the multinational
requirement. Due to this the speed and growth created the imbalance at the workplace.
The human touch among the employees started diminishing instead the mechanical
relationship or robotic approach began. Spirituality at work is a movement began in the
1990’s in which individuals seek to live their spiritual values in the workplace.
Employees find calm and contented to some extent with this approach.

Corporate training courses consistently focus on teaching the knowledge, skills and
abilities people need in order to successfully do the work required. Great value is also
placed upon one’s ability to perceive, assess, and manage the emotions of self and others.

It is very important for the corporate world to continue to provide training for the
development of cognitive and emotional intelligence. Cognitive intelligence is about
thinking. Emotional intelligence is about feeling. Spiritual intelligence is about being.
Cutting edge corporations are now starting to focus some of their training resources on
helping their people become their best.

5
Many people today are finding that there’s more to life—and business—than profits
alone. Some people say it’s all about bringing your spiritual values into your workplace.
A poll published in India Today found that 5 out of 10 people say workplaces get benefit
from great sense of spirit in their work environment.

Growing faith over Spirituality on Corporates

Growing numbers of business people want their spirituality to be more than just faith and
belief, they want it to be practical and applied. They want to bring their whole selves to
work, body, mind and spirit. Many business people are finding that embodying their
values can strengthen the bottom line of business. They can “do well by doing good”.
People at all levels in the corporate hierarchy increasingly want to nourish their spirit and
creativity. When employees are encouraged to express their creativity, the result is a
more fulfilled and sustained workforce. Happy people work harder and are more likely to
stay at their jobs. A study of business performance found that 39% of the variability in
corporate performance is attributable to the personal satisfaction of the staff. Spirituality
was cited as the second most important factor in personal happiness (after health) by the
majority of employees across country. Polls found 47% saying that spirituality was the
most important element of their happiness.

The corporate world continues to focuses the majority of its training resources on the
development of cognitive intelligence. A larger investment has been made in recent years
to develop emotional intelligence, but investments in the development of spiritual
intelligence continue to lag far behind.

To attract the best people and truly excel in today’s competitive marketplace companies
must understand that integration of intellect with emotional and spiritual growth produces
the complete and whole person.

REVIEW OF LITERATURE

Karakas, Fahri (2010), incorporating spirituality at work a) increases employees’ well-

being by increasing their morale, commitment, and productivit y; b) decreases employees
stress, burnout, and workaholism in the workplace.

Burack, (1999), Research suggests fostering spirituality and allowing free expression of
spirituality at work enables employees to feel complete and authentic at work.

Turner, (1999), It leads to a high degree of personal fulfillment and morale; and this in
turn results in increased organizational performance.

Krishnakumar and Neck (2002) suggested that the encouragement of spirituality in the
workplace can lead to benefits in the areas of creativity, honesty, personal fulfillment,
and commitment, which will ultimately lead to increased organizational performance.

Waddock (2006) argues corporate scandals have resulted from self-centeredness, greed,
egoism, and selfish passion instead of caring for others. As a result of the failure of trust
in institutions; employees are searching for a sense of community, high quality
connections.

(Burack, 1999; Konz and Ryan, 1999, Wagner-Marsh, and Conley, 1999; Gogoi,
2005) Finally, the growing interest in spirituality is evident in corporations, corporate
meeting rooms, and the business world as well. For example, a growing numbers of
organizations, including large corporations such as Intel, Coca-Cola, Boeing, and Sears,
are reported to have incorporated spirituality in their workplaces, strategies, or cultures.

Anonymous (2001) A spiritually-friendly workplace will have greater staff-retention

rates, so lowering recruitment costs. It will see an increase in creativity and innovation,
improved morale, better cooperation and teamwork and superior interface between the
organization and its customers.

Tredget (2001) understanding the spiritual can become an important part of workplace
human development. It will become part of management training and have great benefits,
including creating more social stability and increased profitability and productivity.

7
(Daniel J. Levitin 2007) on the psychological and physiological impacts of music is any
indication, much is known — and yet unknown — about how music affects the human
mind and body. "By better understanding what music is and where it comes from, we may
be able to better understand our motives, fears, desires, memories and even
communication in the broadest sense".

Dawn Kent (2006) titled "The Effect of Music on the Human Body and Mind," Music
has long been used in healing rituals around the world, and science suggests there's a
good reason that's been the case. Plato suggested using music to treat anxiety.

Boyce-Tillman, (2000) Sound healing‘ is a term applied to a wide and diverse range of
approaches, utilizing a diverse range of sound sources, with the intention of healing some
aspect or aspects of human beings. Many forms of sound healing are ―syntheses of
ancient traditions and contemporary ideas.

Heather (2004) Sound healing can be defined as the application of sound vibrations
directly into the body of an individual, to bring about a state of harmony and healing.

Brönnimann, R., Ehlert, U., Finkle, L., Marca, R., Nater, U., & Thoma, M., (2013)
Sound is suggested to be one of the most beneficial ways to help lower the impact of
stress on the human body. While these researchers carefully examined the effects of
music on the human body, they found a very large gap of knowledge when it comes to
understanding the full benefits of music to the human body. The researchers had
examined these effects across endocrine, autonomic, cognitive, and the emotional
domains that impact on the human stress response in the body.

Jed Shlackman and Michel Lee (2008) sound therapy refers to therapies in which sound
is used to treat physical and mental conditions. One of these therapies is music therapy,
which can involve a person listening to music for conditions such as stress. They asserted
that music is one component of this therapy was using the brain wave vibrations to treat
corporate people to calmness and wellness from stress and Anxiety.

INTRODUCTION

What is Spirituality?

It is not ideal to consider spirituality as a thing, an object. It does not have the nature of a
specimen that can be dissected and analyzed. Spirituality is better thought of as a
boundary-less dimension of human experience. As such, it must be admitted, it is not
open to the normal methodologies of scientific investigation. It cannot completely be
defined. It cannot be pinned down. Spirituality cannot be explored using scientific
methods because it involves deeply personal, subjective experiences, and in this it differs
from the over-riding ambition of science: to be objective. Both are necessary and
appropriate, complementary formulas for discovering ourselves, each other, our
environment, the universe... and especially an enduring sense of purpose and meaning.

“Spirituality, on the other hand, involves a ‘holistic' appreciation of a universe in

which everyone and everything is connected seamlessly with everyone and
everything else”.

Many people today are finding that there’s more to life—and business—than profits
alone. Money as the single bottom line is increasingly a thing of the past. In a post -
Enron world, values and ethics are an urgent concern. The hottest buzz today is about a
“triple bottom line,” a commitment to “people, planet, and profit.” Employees and the
environment are seen as important as economics. Some people say it’s all about bringing
your spiritual values into your workplace. A poll published in USA Today found that 6
out of 10 people say workplaces would benefit from having a great sense of spirit in their
work environment.

What is spirituality in business corporates believe? There’s a wide range of important

perspectives. Some people say that it’s simply embodying their personal valu es of
honesty, integrity, and good quality work. Others say it’s treating their co -workers and
employees in a responsible, caring way. For others, it’s participating in spiritual study
groups or using prayer, meditation, or intuitive guidance at work. And for some, it’s
making their business socially responsible in how it impacts the environment, serves the
community or helps create a better world.

9
Why Spirituality Is Popular in corporate management?

Why all the sudden interest in spirituality at work? Researchers point to several key
factors. Corporate downsizing and greater demands on remaining workers has left them
too tired and stressed to be creative--at the same time that globalization of markets
requires more creativity from employees. To survive into the 21st Century, organizations
must offer a greater sense of meaning and purpose for their workforce. In today’s highly
competitive environment, the best talent seeks out organizations that reflect their inner
values and provide opportunities for personal development and community service, not
just bigger salaries. Unlike the marketplace economy of 20 years ago, today’s
information and services-dominated economy requires instantaneous decision-making and
building better relationships with customers and employees. Also, spending more time at
work means there is less time available for spiritual activities. The New York Times
recently reported that a growing number of companies are allowing employees to hold
spirituality.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

(1) Research Design: Descriptive

(2) Secondary Sources: Internet, articles, Journals and Research Papers

12
A Growing Movement in Corporate Spirituality

People at all levels in the corporate hierarchy increasingly want to nourish their spirit and
creativity. When employees are encouraged to express their creativity, the result is a more
fulfilled and sustained workforce. Happy people work harder and are more likely to stay at their
jobs. A study of business performance by the highly respected Wilson Learning Company found
that 39% of the variability in corporate performance is attributable to the personal satisfaction of
the staff. Spirituality was cited as the second most important factor in personal happiness (after
health) by the majority of Americans questioned in a USA Weekend poll, with 47% saying that
spirituality was the most important element of their happiness.

Across the country, people increasingly want to bring a greater sense of meaning and purpose
into their work life. They want their work to reflect their personal mission in life. Many
companies are finding the most effective way to bring spiritual values into the workplace is to
clarify the company’s vision and mission, and to align it with a higher purpose and deeper
commitment to service to both customers and community.

Why Do Companies Need (Spirituality) Mindfulness Sessions?

Going back to just 20 odd years ago, a typical work day would last no more than 8 hours, the
pace of work would be slow and unchanging and largely manual in nature.

The present day environment, however, requires organizations to constantly keep changing to
thrive. Continuous modifications of the team structure, role descriptions and even the office
furniture – make corporate life rather stressful.

Employees are often battling with high stress, low physical immunity and a sense of inadequacy.
Ultimately these issues lead to high attrition, low productivity and increased conflicts in the work
place.

Research also shows that it is not just the big difficulties in life but in fact, the numerous small
piles of things to do, irritants, arguments, uncooperative colleagues, failing plans, temporary
deadlines, that actually contribute to systemic stress.

13
Some alarming statistics about stress in corporate India make the point:

 66% of CEOS stressed according to Assocham Business Barometer Survey

 71% of corporate employees feel unproductive and cry regularly according to a study by
WHO
 77% wish they had someone to share their lows says a Survey by Cadbury India
 36% of techies in Bangalore suffer from psychiatric disorders, says a Study by
NIMHANS

Companies in the West are turning to Mindfulness

Also take the example of the late Steve Jobs, who openly shared with the world about how his
time spent in India helped him inculcate a meditation (Mindfulness) practice that shaped his
company:

“If you just sit and observe, you will see how restless your mind is. If you try to calm it, it only
makes it worse, but over time it does calm, and when it does, there’s room to hear more subtle
things – that’s when your intuition starts to blossom and you start to see things more clearly and
be in the present more. Your mind just slows down, and you see a tremendous expanse in the
moment. You see so much more than you could see before. It’s a discipline; you have to practice
it.” – Steve Jobs to his biographer, Walter Isaacson.

Examples Quoted by Various Corporates about Spirituality in their Environment

Other spiritual practices at companies include meditation; centering exercises such as deep
breathing to reduce stress; visioning exercises; building shared values; active, deep listening;
making action and intention congruent; and using intuition and inner guidance in decision-
making. According to a study at Harvard Business School published in The Harvard Business
Review, business owners credit 80% of their success to acting on their intuition.

14
Intel Employees Report Increased Creativity and Focus

 Intel, another early adopter of mindfulness, began its Awake@Intel program in 2012. The
1,500 employees who have participated in the 19-session course were asked to rank their
levels of stress and happiness on 10-point scales. At the end of the sessions, participants
reported that their average levels of stress had decreased by two points, and while
happiness had increased by three points. Furthermore, they reported a two point increase
in “having new ideas, insights, mental clarity, creativity, the ability to focus, the quality
of relationships at work and the level of engagement in meetings, projects and team
efforts,” according to the UNC study.

 Apple Computer’s offices in California have a meditation room and employees are
actually given a half hour a day on company time to meditate or pray, as they find it
improves productivity and creativity. A former manager who is now a Buddhist monk
leads regular meditations there. Aetna International Chairman Michael A. Stephen
praises the benefits of meditation and talks with Aetna employees about using spirituality
in their careers. Avaya, a global communications firm that is a spin-off of Lucent/AT& T,
has a room set aside for prayer and meditation that is especially appreciated by Muslims,
as they must pray five times a day.

 [General Mills] has even begun research into its efficacy, and the early results are
striking. After one of Marturano’s seven-week courses, 83 per cent of participants said
they were “taking time each day to optimize my personal productivity” – up from 23 per
cent before the course. Eighty-two per cent said they now make time to eliminate tasks
with limited productivity value – up from 32 per cent before the course. And among
senior executives who took the course, 80 per cent reported a positive change in their
ability to make better decisions, while 89 per cent said they became better listeners.

15
 Medtronic, which sells medical equipment, pioneered a meditation center at headquarters
20 years ago, and it remains open to all employees today. Medtronic founder Bill George
says the purpose of business is “to contribute to a just, open and sustainable society.” He
describes a “virtuous circle” whereby motivated, satisfied employees produce satisfied
customer, which produce good financial results, which benefit the shareholders. Each
year, six customers share their personal stories with employees, sharing how the
company’s products have saved their life or that of loved ones, and this inspiration fuels
the passion and commitment of employees.

 Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF), a global law firm with around 5,000 employees, was the
first company to launch a mindfulness program in the Australian legal industry.
Approximately 200 employees have gone through the 6-week HSF mindfulness program
in the last 14 months. Some of the results from the 6-week program include: "a 12
percent increase in employee focus; a 10 percent increase in employee performance; a 10
percent increase in employee efficiency; a 17 percent increase in employee work/life
balance; an 11 percent increase in employee communication skills; a 14 percent decrease
in employee multitasking."

 Prentice-Hall publishing company created a meditation room at their headquarters which

they call the “Quiet Room, where employees can sit quietly and take a mental retreat
when they feel too much stress on the job. Sounds True in Colorado, which produces
audio and video tapes, has a meditation room, meditation classes and begins meetings
with a moment of silence. Employees can take Personal Days to attend retreats or pursue
other spiritual interests. Greystone Bakery in upstate New York has a period of
meditative silence before meetings begin so people can get in touch with their inner state
and focus on the issues to be discussed.

 More than one-quarter of Aetna’s work force of 50,000 has participated in at least one
mindfulness class, and those who have report, on average, a 28% reduction in their stress
levels, a 20% improvement in sleep quality and a 19% reduction in pain. They also
become more effective on the job, gaining an average of 62 minutes per week of
productivity, each which Aetna estimates is worth $3,000 per employee per year. Plus,

16
Aetna found that the annual healthcare costs of employees that participated in the
program were an average of $2,000 lower than their counterparts! It’s no surprise, then,
that the healthcare giant has expanded the program significantly, to include a full third of
its employees. Even remotely, some form of mindfulness training can mean a big payoff
for companies.

 The World Health Organization estimates that stress-related maladies cost US companies
at least $300 billion a year in absenteeism, turnover, diminished creativity, and
productivity. regular mindfulness practices — meditation, yoga, tai chi among them —
have been shown to boost physical and mental health by reducing stress and lowering
blood pressure and heart rate.

Introduction of Sound Healing

What Is Sound?

In their simplest form, sounds are waves or vibrations that ripple through the air and provide
human beings with one of the most effective and vital ways we have of communicating with the
nervous systems of other creatures, including other people. The nervous system controls the
body as it receives information from the brain, essentially telling separate parts of the body how
to react in a given situation. For example, when you hear the sound of an alarm, your whole body
reacts in seconds to a perceived threat. A variation of this same sound can send a signal to the
brain that makes you feel excited.

Since the beginning of history, sound has been used to create certain moods in the listener.
Different sounds affect people in different ways. Violin that plays on a high note, energizes
human mind and makes it peaceful. Marching bands are used to fire-up an army or sports team,
and a mother’s lullaby soothes a troubled child. The different ragas of Indian classical music are
attuned to different times of the day or different seasons to harmonize the listener with the
rhythms of nature.

As a cure or a solution, modern science is only now beginning to recognize what the ancient
mystics and wise men have told us for centuries; which is, everything (including you) is in a
constant state of vibration. The most elemental state of vibration is that of sound. Everything has

17
an optimum range of vibration, and that rate is called resonance. When we are in resonance, we
are in balance. One way to use sound to heal the body is to recognize that every organ, and every
cell, absorbs and emits sound, and has a particular optimum resonate frequency. Each separate
vibration has evolved, to reflect the whole in infinite disguises, giving rise to the world in which
we live. All life is vibration, and vibration is life. (“Our Body is held together by sound”)

With the right sounds and scientific process of application, you can align yourself with the
vibrations that foster health, happiness, success and unity.

Every atom in the universe and cell in our body is vibrating constantly. This process can be
directed and enhanced through the power of sound frequencies in the form of words and music,
among other things. Interestingly, vibrational healing is nothing new. It has been successfully
practiced in numerous forms all over the world for thousands of years. Sound and frequency
therapy is a new alternative therapy which is researching the effects of low frequency sound and
vibration on human health and wellness. Every organ, tissue, and cell has its vibrations which,
when in harmony, creates the most wonderful symphony imaginable to the human body. If
disharmony arises or a break in the unfolding of the vibration occurs, there develops a loss of
wholeness leading to discomfort and disease. The effects of sound are apparent in our everyday
life. We know the power of sound and music and how our voice changes with emotional states or
illness. Our health or mood can be strongly affected by music, toning, chanting, and singing.

Everything in existence vibrates, and so we are surrounded by sound all the time. But what can
understanding vibrational sound do for you?
Edger Cayce said, “The medicine of the future will be music and sound.”

How it helps for corporates

 Rеduсеd аbѕеntееiѕm
 Rеduсеd ѕtаff turnover
 Emрlоуееѕ with bеttеr mеntаl fосuѕ
 Higher ѕtаff morale
 Reduced wоrkеrѕ соmреnѕаtiоn claims
 Bеttеr inter-staff relations
 Highеr productivity
 Better сuѕtоmеr service

18
How “Sound healing” in form of spirituality can Impact / Transform
Human Lives in corporates

Let’s take a closer look at the ways in which your physical, emotional, and intellectual
development have been profoundly affected by sound’s physical properties— rhythm, pitch, and
frequency or vibration— from your earliest days of life. Your manner of speaking, of walking, of
interacting with others socially and emotionally— your ability to really hear what others are
saying to you, to focus on tasks, and to stick to your goals until you have achieved them—all of
these aspects of your personality and behavior have been shaped to some degree by your
interactions with sound. In a very real sense, throughout childhood, youth, and adulthood, sound
has made you what you are today.

Studies conducted around the world have demonstrated how sound’s energy shapes the brain’s
development before birth; how its rhythms regulate our physical movements; how pitch, tone,
and musical structure can fine- tune the mind and sharpen listening skills; how music making
improves students’ test scores and communication skills; and how professional musicians’ brains
actually differ in structure from the brains of non-musicians. Sound is “a biological fact of
human life” intimately involved in our physiological functions.

Modern science is only now beginning to recognize what the ancient mystics and wise men have
told us for centuries; that everything (including you) is in a constant state of vibration. The most
elemental state of vibration is that of sound.

Sound have a very fundamental relationship, and both are related to the health and harmony of
the physical body.

The magical power of sound to heal was used by most ancient cultures. As it had almost
disappeared in the West until 1930s, acoustic researchers discovered ultrasound and its medical
properties. With this discovery the ancient art of sound healing is rapidly developing into new
science. Now there is a mass of research into the healing benefits of ultrasound, also including its
use in breaking up kidney stones and shrinking tumors. Infrasound and audible sound have now
been recognized as having immense healing properties. The Aborigines healed broken bones,
muscle tears and other kinds of illnesses using this enigmatic musical instrument. It is very
apparent that the wisdom of the ancients was based on sound principles.

19
Healing with sound has been used as a way of soothing the mind and emotions and it is one of
the oldest and most natural forms of healing known to man. In some Eastern cultures there have
been long realized that the beneficial effect goes much deeper than just a sense of emotional
well-being. The harmonious sounds have a healing effect on the body at a cellular level.

“The Body is Held Together by Sound”

The Sound of your life began with a heartbeat. From the moment you acquired the ability to
process sound in your mother’s womb— sometime during the development— the steady thump
of her beating heart permeated your developing body and brain, imprinting its rhythm over and
over, millions of times before your birth. Other sounds washed around you too— the loud,
constant rush of blood flowing through the placenta, the gurgling sounds of digestion, the
comforting vibration of your mother’s voice resonating through her body and yours.

Sound Affects Human Consciousness and Health

“Sound can redress imbalances on every level of physiologic functioning and can play a positive
role in the treatment of virtually any medical disorder”. Also it helps to reduce stress, anxiety,
metal and physical imbalance of health, work life pressure and Emotional disturbance.

So it is said that “Sound is the medicine of the future”.

"If we accept that sound is vibration and we know that vibration touches every part of our
physical being, then we understand that sound is heard not only through our ears but through
every cell in our bodies.” So in corporate it is observed that every individual is vibrating at
certain frequency and this frequency are in form of various corporate pressure and several Stress
related diseases and also we can call mental pressure so our body is tuned to that frequency and
accordingly it vibrates and so due to which we are attracted to several mental and as well as
physical diseases.

So it is important to tune our frequency and sound is a tool which help to tune our frequency and
our body vibrates accordingly so that we release all negative emotion which are stucked in our
body and our body resonates with positive emotions so that our body in form of physical and
mental is healthy and it reflects the environment and as well as creativity and productivity.

20
"Sound enters the healing equation from several directions: It may alter cellular functions
through energetic effects; it may entrain biological systems to function more homeostatically; it
may calm the mind and therefore the body; or it may have emotional effects, which influence
neurotransmitters and neuropeptides, which in turn help to regulate the immune system--the
healer within."

"If we accept that sound is vibration and we know that vibration touches every part of our
physical being, then we understand that sound is heard not only through our ears but through
every cell in our bodies.”

Stress

For many people, stress has become a way of life. When we are stressed, our bodies release
hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline which make our hearts race and our breathing rate
faster and shallower. These hormones can leave us feeling anxious and unsettled. Long-term
stress causes a range of ailments including high blood pressure, insomnia, heart disease and
digestive problems. Not only does stress damage the quality of our lives, it reduces the body's
ability to heal and fight disease.

The soothing effect of being bathed in an ocean of sound creates a profound relaxation and is
helpful in reducing the stress that is so harmful to healthy living.

The power of the voice

One of the most powerful instruments for healing and transformation is the human voice.
Singing, overtoning and the chanting of mantras profoundly affect our well-being due to their
therapeutic and calming influence.

Sanskrit mantras are energy based sounds that vibrate throughout the body and chanting these
sacred sounds of power can bring us to a higher level of consciousness. The human body is over
70% water and since sound travels five times more efficiently through water than through air, it
is an excellent conductor for sound and vibration.

According to Thomas Ashley-Farrand, author of “Healing Mantras” “These ancient sounds

create energy vibrations that can replace negative energy with positive ones. When chanting

21
Sanskrit mantras, the chanter benefits from thousands of years of powerful energy accumulated
from the Divine and from the millions of devoted chanters.”

Sound in the workplace

Major corporations are employing the use of sound in a variety of creative ways to counter the
effects of workplace stress. The California corporate headquarters of Toyota have a unique
approach for overcoming stress and building morale with their ‘Toyota drum circle.’

‘Drumming away stress’ sessions are also being offered by New York psychotherapist Robert
Friedman for a range of clients including companies such as Pitney Bowe, Xerox and Time-
Warner.

Dr. Jeffrey Thompson, Director of the Center for Neuroacoustic Research, has developed
programs using sound for Nike, Cisco Systems and Mattel that enhance creativity, productivity
and health and wellness.

So many of corporates are looking for spiritual sessions to relieve from certain emotions which
are stucked and due to which it impacts the productivity of an organization and one of those
session in form of sound is said to be as Emotional healing sessions are known to control the
outbursts of emotions in people affected by failures in life, discrimination in competitions,
physical or psychological handicaps, and traumatic events. Many in the field of healing believe
that stuck emotions account for as much as 50% of the issues and diseases we manifest (the
environment being another large part). We know how powerful music can be used to transform
our emotions. Music and sound can be used to release these stuck emotions and deep emotional
issues. If you look at emotions as sound and vibration (as everything is) many emotions are
really annoying sounds. For example, the sound of “fear” is very much akin to a scream. It is a
sound that does not support health. It is not good for the healthy functioning of your heart, your
nervous system, your immune system or any of the cells in your body. Imagine being a kidney
and having someone right next to you screaming in fear for a couple of hours or for days. If I
were a kidney I would give it up. And, the kidneys do when accosted by the sound of fear over
long periods of time.

Most of the lower emotions are associated with sounds that are really irritating, such as:
pessimism, frustration, irritation, impatience, disappointment, doubt, worry, blame,

22
discouragement, anger, revenge, hatred, rage, jealousy, insecurity, guilt, unworthiness, fear,
grief, depression, despair, and powerlessness. These are distorted or inconsistent sounds, and
they break down your physical body.

On the other hand, the sounds associated with higher emotions support your health, such as:
contentment, hopefulness, optimism, positive expectation, belief, enthusiasm, eagerness,
happiness, passion, joy, appreciation, empowered, freedom, and love. They actually nurture the
beating of your heart and your nervous system. The sounds associated with these emotions are
consistent and quite pure tones. Vowel sounds resonate these types of energies the best. Vowels
create consistent and pure tones.

One of the most powerful sound techniques is to use Hi-tech sound to transform subconscious
negative beliefs. These are beliefs that generally stop us from manifesting what we want in the
world. Beliefs are simply really powerful frequencies in our subconscious that are hidden from
our view. They might be things like, “I’m not good enough,” or “I am not worthy of being
financially abundant,” or “I am capable in my job or carrier” or “I can’t get healthy now that I
have this sickness.” Based on the law of resonance, they simply resonate and attract into our
world whatever the frequency of the belief is. Different frequencies, tones, and sounds – these
tools can induce different states to promote healing for the body, mind, emotions, and spirit. On a
molecular level, our bodies are systems of vibrating atomic particles. We are living receivers and
transmitters of vibration. We can use frequencies to vibrate matter and promote healing and
regeneration of the different body systems. These frequencies also shift etheric patterning to heal
the emotional and mental causes of disease. And that’s what nowadays corporate looks for such
workshop for their employees so that they can revitalize from all mental and emotional pressures
and their dedication to work will impact positively on their creativity and productivity on work
and for the development of an organization.

The using of spiritual chants and mantra through sound and frequency and vibrations that exhales
the positive energy and clears the mind of people by spreading out the vibes which are positive
and spiritually enlightening. There are mantras for just about anything you can imagine. There
are mantras to restore health, bring wealth, change the weather, remove problems, cure snake
bites, welcome a new baby, and create peaceful coexistence, just to mention a few. In the Vedic
tradition of India, mantras are often associated with a particular deity and by chanting the mantra

you activate the archetypal energies associated with that deity. It’s important to remember that
the deities are really a projection of your true self. By chanting these mantras, you are simply
activating the energies already lying dormant within you.

Perhaps the most well-known of the deity mantras is … OM NAMAH SHIVAYA and Even
