7* Gaboriault requested information regarding the allowance of mountain biking on the Town Forest
t7 Trail. Gaherty said that the Conservation Commission will review and discuss allowed uses on the
18 trail.

31 A. New LRW Bridge / RTP Grant Close Out
:2 Sinadinoski will handle the close out for the LRW Bridge RTP grant.

C. Town Forest Trail Upgrade Proiect/RTP Grant Close Out
2S Sinadinoski said that a handicap parking sign, bike rack, and bollard are still needed. Sinadinoski
lv said that volunteer hours should be decided and that the goal is to have the grant closed by
30 Novernber. Regarding Phase 2 of the MTF trail Gaherty said that a cost assessment and timeline
31 should be done before a proposal for a grant match is grven to the Selectboard. Sinadinoski
32 reconunended that the two open grants should be closed or closer to closing before a request is sent
Ji) out for another.

.to D. Town Forest Signage and Bike Rack
3l Gaherty said that he is not very concerned with people using their bicycles on the path but that the
Conservation Commission is obligated to install a bike rack anyway. Sinadinoski said that there is

1 money remaining in the grant that can be used. Pease said that signage would be needed for the
2 designated handicap parking space. Pease is concerned with the snow plows doing damage to the
3 new terrain. Sinadinoski recommended extending this concern to Public Works. Gaherty said that
4 reflective markers could be placed to help direct snow plow drivers. Gaherty said that measures
p should be taken to try to deter ATV use without inhibiting lawnmowers and handicap access.

E. Town Forest Approved Uses Review
s The Conservation Commission tabled this topic for the next meeting.

10 F. Speed Limits on Trails?
11 Pease wanted to know if a 3 m.p.h. speed limit could be posted in order to keep users to a walking
12 speed. Pease said that, per Federal law, one cannot prohibit any kind of transportation under a
13 mobility clause. Sinadinoski suggested that it may be impractical to monitor the speed limits.

Sinadinoski said that a 3 m.p.h. enforcement for motorized vehicles may imply that ATV use may be
r5 permitted. Sinadinoski suggested implementing a policy that prohibits ATV use. Gaherty tabled the

discussion for another time.
