A. DEFINITIONS

Said Education also comes from the ancient Greek language that the word "pedagogy"
basic word "Paid" it’s mean "Children" and also "said Ogogos" means "guide". of some of
the words we conclude pedagos word in the Greek is the science that studies the art of
educating the Child.
By definition language education is the process of changing attitudes and code of
conduct of a person or group of people in a mature business man through the efforts of
the teaching and training according to the procedure of education itself.

understanding of education is an effort that is done consciously and planned to create
an atmosphere of learning and the learning process so that learners are actively

B. Functions of Education

which is as follows:

4. School teaches pattern personality.
5. Sources of social innovation.

C. OBJECTIVES OF EDUCATION
1. The general objective
Is a goal that will be achieved at the end of the educational process, namely the
achievement of physical and spiritual maturity of the students. Purpose physical
maturity is when physical growth already reached the limit of maximum growth, the
physical growth will not take place again. Spiritual maturity is that the students have
been able to help themselves capable of standing alone, and able to be responsible
for all his actions.
2. Special Purpose
The specific objectives are specific objectives to be achieved by age, gender,
character, talent, intelligence, socio-cultural environment, the stage - the stage of
development, conditions of employment guidance.
3. Interest Incomplete
The purpose is not complete as the objectives concerning some aspects of the

4. Objectives While

D. IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION
a. giving knowledge.

b. For career / job

less important because the schools or no schools remain difficult to find work.

c. Building character
Back again that education is very important for us, because it not only gives us
knowledge but teaches us the courtesy and the right thing. foster education we
become adult individuals; individuals are able to plan for the future and make
the right decisions in life. And a good education will make us more human.
d. sheds light
Education abolished the wrong thought in mind, to help provide a clear picture
of the things that are around us to avoid confusion. Education is able to rekindle
the fire of the spirit within, the spirit to look for things that are not yet known,
asked the spirit, passion in life. So education is able to give enlightenment to
anyone
e. Help advance the nation
Although not listed in the three basic human needs, education is the same
pentingnnya. Education can help the progress of the nation because the nation's
