Further investigation of this incident has yielded the following information:
Just prior to the shooting, Suspect Jordan Witmer got up from his bar seat and walked
downstairs to use the restroom. When Witmer returned to the bar he was met by Nicole
Abrino, whom he had been in the bar with, as they were about to leave the
establishment. Witnesses’ accounts vary in certain details, but it is believed that Witmer
initially shot Abrino as he was standing next to her at the bar. Witmer then fatally shot
Dean Beachy and then Steven Beachy. Three other people who were in the bar at that
time of the shooting either fled the scene or hid. Steven Beachy died the next day as a
result of his injuries.
There is no evidence to support that an argument had transpired between Witmer and
Abrino as well as no evidence to suggest that Dean or Steven Beachy were involved
with any type of dispute with Witmer and Abrino. Witmer immediately fled the bar,
shooting a decorative mannequin on the way out.
Regarding the shooting of George McCormick at 748 Tussey Lane, further investigation
confirmed that there was no relationship between the McCormick's and Witmer. It is still
believed that Witmer randomly chose their house after he crashed his vehicle nearby.
Nicole Abrino has survived her injuries.
The result of a toxicology screen showed that Jordan Witmer’s blood alcohol content
was .223 % and there were no other drugs in his system. This concludes the police
investigation into this homicide. Below is a timeline for the incident.1242019
