Poppy Appeal
This year we will once again be supporting the Royal British Legion's (RBL) and Poppyscotland’s
Poppy Appeal by receiving customer donations in exchange for poppy stickers on their behalf
• A local RBL/Poppyscotland volunteer will visit restaurants from this week to deliver poppy stickers and a
collection box, which should be placed in a prominent position on the front counter
• A box of stick on poppies will also be delivered for staff if they wish to wear a poppy
• If staff wish to wear a poppy sticker, they can do so when in the Dining Area or front counter only
Action Required:
• Review the attached Manager’s Guide for further information and guidance on where to display/store
Poppies and collection boxes
• Please hold a two minutes’ silence at 11am on Friday 11th November – you can print out the sign at
the back of the Manager’s Guide and place it in a suitable location to make customers aware
after Remembrance Day on 13th November, your local RBL/Poppyscotland volunteer will return to pick up
the collection box, donations and any remaining poppies. Remember to check their ID. You are not required
to count or bank any monies donated during this appeal.
