I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
1. Recognize the arts of China
2. Create and improvise the arts of China
3. Appreciate the beauty of the arts of China

II. Subject Matter

A. Topic: China (Arts)


B. Materials: Laptop, Projector, Speakers, PPT Presentation
C. References: Music & Arts of Asia (Grade 8 Module)

A. Activating Prior Knowledge


Motivation:
The teacher will group the class into 6 groups. He/she will show pictures of some
art forms of China and each students will write their observations and they will present
to the class.

And the now, the teacher will now activate the prior knowledge of the students by asking
the following questions:
1. Are you familiar with these?
2. What do you think is our lesson all about?

B. Acquiring New Knowledge


To follow is the discussion about:
1. Arts of China
C. Application
Activity #1.
After discussing, the teacher will group the class into 6 groups. He/she will show
a picture of Chinese scripts and each group will draw their favorite script and they will
present it to the class.
D. Assessment
For individual activity, the students will answer this:
1. What kind of face painting does symbolizes your personality? Why? Explain
briefly.

III. Evaluation
Activity #2.
With the same groupings, the teacher will let each group create and improvise
arts from China.
