Open WINPCIN Siemens communication Software

Press RS232 Config Button as you see above Fig.

a) Press Binary Format
b) Select Com Port (using Mouse) Select COM1/COM2 as per your
Computer or Laptop.
c) Rest all settings to be set as you See in the screen.
d) Press Save and Activate button as you see the above screen
e) Press Back Button
Now you have to Make ready from CNC side i.e Press or
button.
After you press this button you will see these menu in the screen

press Services Menu

Press SET button as shown above
Please select exactly the Settings as shown the below

Com1 / Com2 as per connection This can be changed by using

Active Not Active

/ COM2

/ PC Format for
NC ARC files

After changing please press SAVE Settings Softkey

 When you are transferring data to (CNC) press Data in (CNC) and press SEND Data at PC side

When you are transferring data to (PC) from CNC press Data Out (CNC) and press Receive Data at PC side
Now say you want to send a Part program into CNC system from PC / Laptop

Press DATA IN in CNC and Press Start (Vertical Soft key)

now you see This dialogue

Press OK button
Now the CNC is ready to receive data

PC SIDE
Press Send Data

Select the File

you want to send
You can see now Data is getting transmitted to CNC

File Format required for transferring files to CNC

%_N_XXXX_MPF (for Part Programs/ Main programs)

%_N_XXXX_SPF ( For Sub programs)
;$path=/_N_SPF_DIR
XXXX= your program name
Example %_N_TEST_MPF instead of XXXX

Press Receive Data Enter Name for the file to be received

In WINPCIN
 Press Data Out Softkey
Select the data to be transferred to PC by moving arrow keys, as you move keys
the highlited curser will move,
Say you want to transfer Part programs. Move the curser to Part programs.

Press Start

Now you can see a dialogue box in which you see data Sent Bytes this means
data is getting transferred from CNC to PC
