Vehicle No. - JH09G/7212 running in Turbine Maintenance Division is very old (2005 Model
Commander), open door and frequent breakdown occurs during carrying us from colony to
power house and back to colony. Now a days both units equipments create problem, to face
such type of emergency for 24 hrs, the above said vehicle is not useful in catering the accurate
time of reaching to power house. Also the vehicle being open door is not suitable for any
season.

As such a close door vehicle, like Bolero may please be provided to face emergency in any time
and in any season.

This is to inform that operation deptt. doesnot issue and return work permit of preventive
maintenance(PM) on daily basis. After repeated requests to different operation groups to issue and return
the work permits still numbers of permits has not been approved till date. Pending permits which has to
be issued w.e.f. 11/10/18 is being attached for your kind perusal and further necessary action. So you
are requested to look into the matter seriously so that daily PM could be done without any hinderances.

This is to inform that PR.600000618 had been prepared for the procurement of NRV on dated
18/07/17 but after completion of almost a year PO against this PR has not been issued.

NRV of drip line of HP Heaters leading to Deaerator has developed huge passing which create great
difficulty in smooth operation of HP Heaters. Also due to passing hammering has been developed in
the drip line of HP Heater which may lead to great damage to the pipeline. Also huge passing has been
developed in the discharge line of Ash Water make up pump which creates lot of problem in the
smooth operation of the Ash Water make up Pumps due to loss in discharge pressure. So concerned
department or authorities may please be requested to take this matter seriously and issue the
purchase order against the PR No-600000618 dt 18/07/17 at the earliest so that passing through these
NRV could be arrested successfully.

Due to prolonged operation of the valve (NRV), body seat & disc has developed erosion. This has
resulted in heavy passing through these valves. During bringing unit on load, it become very difficult to
maintain deaerator level on account of passing through these valves, resulting in delay in
synchronization of unit.
Also on load, due to passing through these NRVs, heavy hammering/vibration develops in the drip
pipeline from HPH-5 & 6 to Deaerator, this may damage the pipeline extensively. Passing through Ash
Water Make up Pump discharge NRVs, results in great loss in discharge pressure. Considering the
above facts, it is requested to finalize the PR- 600000618 at the earliest.
