About IBA

Established in 1955, IBA is the oldest business school outside North America. Sixty years down the line,
the institute remains dedicated to the task of imparting valuable education and work ethics to its
students. The Institute takes pride in honing skills that would not only make our graduates highly valued
professionals, but at the same time imbibe ethical values in them, so that they are able to exhibit and
demonstrate standards of integrity in the wake of temptations and compulsions. IBA also encourages its
students and faculty to develop a global perspective, but to apply their knowledge and practices towards
finding the solutions of local problems.

About CWS

IBA Community Welfare Society provides the students of IBA a chance to work for the community in
order to minimize problems which affect our society adversely. In a society where for the majority of
people don’t have access to basic needs, we are surely blessed. The CWS aims at making IBA students
aware of the plight of the underprivileged people around them; the thousands of refugees that the flood
has left behind in its wake, the thousands who suffer from starvation and poverty. It aims at making the
future leaders of our country, conscientious citizens who understand that it is their responsibility to
serve, through their talents and skills, those elements of society which deserve the most.

IBA Charity Festival?

The Charity Festival will cater around 1500-1700 students, IBA Alumni, IBA Faculty and their families.
Stalls will be placed that will be selling edibles, conducting activities, hosting games, provide
entertainment through singing competitions, performances, live music, etc. to keep the audience
captivated throughout the day. The purpose of the event is to generate funds to help ‘The Citizens
Foundation- TCF’ build their school for the underprivileged in the outskirts of Karachi.

Since TCF is our beneficiary, we aim at trying to bring the young students at one of the TCF school
branches to the event. They will be treated with utmost respect, treated to lunch and will be able to avail
all services and goods at the fun festival for free. Therefore, not only donating to the school, but also
ensuring that the children have a fun time. Therefore, it can safely be said that the Charity Festival will
serve as the ultimate entertaining event along with fulfilling its social responsibility.

What do we need?

Corporate sponsorships, BTL activities will also aid to the influx of money to be used in the fun fest,
ultimately adding the donation fund.
